"I'd prefer to kill as little as possible and besides the solar won't be coming back anytime soon" Mankur stands up and heads toward the tunnel leading down
The shadows fade from around Ileanys as he lets to spell dissipate and descends to stand near the others looking at where the Solar had been. "I agree with Raze," he says. "Better to kill him and be done with it. This just leaves him able to return later to continue to hound us and cause trouble." He looks to Laucian. "You'd better step it up. If you think to be a demigod, you'd better be able to handle more than this," he waves a hand around them. With that, the warlock backs away from where the Solar had fallen and vanishes from view once again (using One with Shadows to cast invisibility).
(Does it banish him permanently or does he come back in a minute whent he spell ends? Not entirely clear on if the returning after a minute is just beings sent to the harmless demiplane, or anyone hit by the spell)
(Yup- For those asking, the Solar is from another plane and has been banished there. They don't have the ability to plane shift on their own so he's gone. )
Gilra: This tunnel was carved a very long time ago. It gradually slopes downward, the floor littered with small stones. Your keen senses do not detect any danger or the presence of any other creatures.
DM note: Because of the holiday we'll take things slow here over the next two days. We won't do anything story changing since people might not be able to post. If combat or something similar kicks off we'll pause until December 26th.

Banishing Smite: The next time you hit with a weapon attack before the spell ends, the attack deals an extra 5d10 force damage. If the attack reduces the target to 50 hit points or less, you banish it. If the target is native to a different plane than the one you're on, the target returns to its home plane.
If the target is native to the plane you're on, it vanishes to a harmless demiplane. While there, it's incapacitated. It remains there until the spell ends, to which the target reappears in the space it left or in the nearest unoccupied space if it can't.
There is no official clarification that I can find, however my take after reading the spell is that a creature from another plane is sent back to its home plane and does not return (as long as it is under 50hp, which after the hit, the Solar was.) The only way it would return after a minute is if it is native to the plane you are currently on.
A Paladin has to be at least 17th level to use this spell, so it's intended to be a powerful ability.
(as we're taking it slow then I'll see if I can gather anything that might help us)
Gilra has been around a very long time as well. Now that the immediate threat has been dealt with, what does she recall of this area, this town and particularly who or what might have made these tunnels? To help in that, she'll cast pass without trace from her staff and will quietly examine the surrounding stonework for any possible markings or other hints. (stealth: 31.. and what else?)
After that she'll go over the mouth of the tunnel for any tracks on any surfaces, not just the floor. She has learned many things in her long life. (survival check: 20)
Gilra: You creep quietly into the shadows, becoming nearly invisible. You can make a Nature check if you want to figure out how the tunnel was made. You can also make a History check for more information on who might have made this place (if anyone did).
You would already know from gathering information for the ritual that there was nothing special or significant about the town you chose. The ritual could have technically taken place anywhere on the material plane as long as there were enough recent deaths.
Aside from the footprints of the angels and your companions, there is no trace of any other creature on the floor, walls or ceiling.

Barosh walks over to the mouth of the tunnel and calls out to Mankur, "I do hope you haven't suddenly found any sentiment for Celestial creatures, although I do understand the concept of saving something for later."
Barosh then reaches into his bag of holding and pulls out the townsperson he had stuffed in there earlier (I don't think it's been 10 minutes left so he should still be alive) and then pushes the man towards the tunnel and whispers in his ear, "Run'".
If the man refuses or seems to need any further encouragement, Barosh will prepare a fire bolt, grasp the man by his non-broken arm, and smile at him as the arcane heat grows and grows.
"What I also understand, is the concept of a canary in a coal mine. And if our canary behaves he may find himself being able to sing another day."
"I don't think you understand I myself am technically celestial besides like I said I personally dont enjoy killing more than necessary" Mankur continues down the tunnel
"But you see, I am technically a hero, and look at where I am now. To be perfectly honest, I've probably saved more people than I've killed, so I'm trying to make up for lost time"
Barosh casts mage hand and move the spectral hand along the wall, hoping to trigger traps as the man runs down the tunnel.
Gilra speaks audibly to herself, "Interesting.. well, at least we are the first to take this path, unless someone flew through here before."
“Flying is certainly not an inconceivable idea for a place such as this,” Ileanys voice says out of the air somewhere above. “After all, most in our group have ways to do so, and all of the angels of course were able to as well.”
Laucian felt the clap, seeing Barosh and hearing that he is glad to have him back, a shame if someone with his potential was wasted just like that. "Yeah, thanks. Damn Solar just had to hit me with that arrow, never expected it to kill me instantly." he had said back, nodding. But then he heard Ileanys criticize him, pissed off now and glaring angrily at him. Step up, seriously?! Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. He was the one doing the most damage to those Devas, if it hadn't been for him, those Devas would have stayed alive longer and done a lot more damage to everyone along with the Solar too. Ileanys should be damn grateful for all of his help, only becoming a target of the Solar because of all that he had done after all. How was he supposed to know that thing would shoot arrows that instantly kill what they hit? He is a bard and cleric for Oghma's sake! He is not meant for direct combat and to be getting hit, the stupid pathetic warlock, thinking that he's better when he hardly did crap for damage compared to a superior bard like him. Ileanys should have been hit with that arrow and died instead, would have been no loss to him. If it weren't for the fact that he needs him along with the others in order to get to the Blood Sphere, he would have instantly killed him for such insolence. As Laucian noticed everyone going towards the tunnel, he did the same but stopped at the mouth as he became annoyed that no one was trying to heal him up despite knowing that he just got revived and is barely alive. He would prefer if they could take a short rest so he can heal up but time is of the essence, so he'll have to waste spell slots trying to heal himself. "Heal, Heal" Laucian said to himself, focusing on his amulet of Oghma while listening to the others talk about the tunnel. He was staying at the mouth like Barosh, letting the others go through the tunnel first, obviously because he is at such low health and isn't stupid enough to think that there wouldn't be hidden traps or anything to harm them in there. He does not want to die again, determined to become a demigod as he should be.
Gilra: You can't recall much about the history of this place. Examining the walls, you can say with certainty that either these caverns are either natural, or were created be a being powerful enough to actually create natural formations.
Barosh:The villager you pull from your Bag of Holding runs as fast as his legs can carry him down the tunnel, screaming in terror. The man runs around a bend and out of sight- his voice echoing loudly around the cavern.
You run your hand along the wall with your mage hand. Nothing happens.
Gilra taps her staff softly on the floor once more, casting Pass without Trace once again (it's free.. ), so everyone close to her leave no tracks at all (and +10 to stealth checks).

1st Heal: 4
2nd Heal: 4
Mankur sighs and goes back to Laucian "Make sure to stay hidden if you can't take the hit alright" giving him 50 from his lay on hands pool

Seeing nothing bad happen to the villager, Ileanys will fly down the tunnel after him, still invisible.

(Edit: +10 more if I can get the PWT bonus)

"What is more necessary than to kill something that wants to kill us," Raze simply states, and moves down the tunnel not waiting for an answer.
Stealth: 37 (w/ PwaT)
