Laucian was surprised as Mankur came back, telling him to stay hidden if he can't take the hit before healing him some. "Alright, I will. Thank you again." he said back to him, nodding and relieved that at least someone decided to help him out. It was also the same person who revived him, wondering why someone so generous is even a villain and wanting to become a demigod like the rest of them. He had seen as villager ran off without anything happening to them and the mage hand not activating anything either, surprised and thinking that it must be safe to continue walking down. He would follow along after everyone else in the back, just to be safe since even after healing, he is still not in the best of shape health-wise right now.
Your group continues down the tunnel. An hour passes.
The villager Barosh let loose still staggers ahead of you, now quiet. He is too tired to continue running but too frightened to stop going.
After two more hours of travel, the tunnel opens up into a small cavern. The room is dominated by a very interesting sight.
A huge winged creature with bright red skin sits curled up, contained inside a giant shimmering sphere. It’s muscular, with large clawed hands, clearly a fiend of some kind. It’s eyes are closed and it does not stir as your group enters the chamber.
On the other side of the cavern, the tunnel once again continues downward.

Laucian has been following behind everyone as they continued to walk down the tunnel for a good long while. Then they came upon a cavern, very surprised to see the creature, a fiend it seems in a shimmering sphere. He wondered if he knew what the fiend is and what exactly the sphere is as well, thinking that he may know what they are from all of his research, experience, and Oghma’s guidance.
Laucian: You've heard stories of these creatures and seen pictures in old books wielding a whip in one hand and a sword in the other. This creature is a Balor, a powerful denizen of the Abyss. They are the generals of the demon armies and the only creatures on that plane who are more powerful are the demon princes who rule the layers of that fiery realm. Additionally, you have also read that upon their deaths these being explode in a torrent of fire and many unknowing heroes have gone down with the creature in their moment of triumph.
You do not recognize the enchantment, but it must be very powerful to be able to contain this thing.

As the two of you address the creature, it slowly opens one eye. Black sclera surrounds a red iris with a slit pupil. There is a deep rumbling growl that would make lesser humanoids wet themselves. The voice that resonates in your mind is so harsh it is almost painful; it's like the scream of steel when two weapons clash.
Free me from this cursed prison... if you can do that then perhaps you are worthy
Barosh you are having a hard time reading this creature and are unsure what it might do if released.
Barosh: You rack your brain but you can't think of what this spell could be. You grab the exhausted villager by the shoulder and shove him into the barrier. There is a noise like the sound of a bird hitting a window and a whimper of pain. The villager's nose is now broken, but that's probably due to the force of your push. The sphere is unaffected.

Gilra is not playing around:"Tell me your true name, you weak excuse of a fiend and we may take the time to free you. Or you can stay here for another eternity while others of your kind rule the Abyss."
And she starts walking towards the next tunnel. "Actually, I'll send a message to one I know right now and ask when was the last time one of their ranks got shat on. We'll see if anyone even remembers you existed at all. " Looking back at the balor she points her staff at it and smiles amusedly, "I shall call you Pigvomit."

Laucian remembered now what that creature is, a Balor. He is surprised to see that a Balor was taken down so easily by whatever enchantment is keeping it trapped here. Then he heard the voice ask them to free it and they might be worthy if they do, doubting that. “How do we know that you are really telling us the truth and that you aren’t going to kill us the moment you are freed? Why are you here and who was the one that managed to imprison a powerful being of the Abyss such as yourself?” Laucian asked it, trying to get a read on them and if they are telling the truth, gathering information on if there are any more enemies they should be aware of, especially one powerful enough to trap a Balor.
Barosh: You slam your fist into the sphere as hard as you can. The sphere is unaffected and your hand feels like you just punched a solid steel door. You throw a fire bolt and it has no discernible effect.

(Jesus a +21 to stealth? That's crazy)
Barosh will follow the villager deeper into the cave. He makes no attempt to be stealthy, floating along on large, golden wings.
(Normally +11 but and extra +10 from Pass without Trace. Still low at this level when creatures can easily have a +10 to perception.)

Gilra has seen some of the Abyss.. does she recognize who this is?
Screw that, Archy is from the abyss (not really, but still.) Does he recognize what this is?
