OOC:  That is my understanding as well.

On Nil’s right the east wall of this camber has collapsed but a door to a storage room is ajar. The items in the barrels have long went to waste but the room and door is solid if a resting area is needed. 

Going past where the storeroom is to the north it opens to a great open cavern. Tabels and braziers are in the middle of this room and each side is slightly raised from the other. 

OOC:  maybe we should have a standard operating procedure—Nil scouts ahead, then reports back if there is nothing that interrupts him, then we all go to the room together with the light.  It might speed things up a bit...

OOC: Sounds good. Jackson will continue to move up whenever Nil scouts out a safe spot.

OOC:  It has been several days.  On whom are we waiting?

The group meets just inside the large cavern. As the group steps in to the room they hear movement on the west end of the room and can see movement in the dim light from Harukai's sword. You hear the growling from this side of the room and six ghouls begin walking toward your side of the room. They are feveriously hungry and ready for a meal.

Initiative

Jackson: 7

Harukai: 9

Ghouls: 6

Harukai leaps into action as he sees the feral creatures lurch into view.  Repulsed by their undead visage, he calls forth Ilmater's holiness and sends beams of radiant energy towards the unnatural monsters (start targeting one; if it goes down he will move on to another).

Action:  Radiant Sun Bolt: Attack 1: 20 Damage: 6

Bonus Action:  2 Radiant Sun Bolts (1 point of Ki): 

Attack 2: 21 Damage: 6

Attack 3:  21 Damage: 7

Jackson will do what he can to maneuver around the room so that he can keep a 30ft distance away from the ghouls. He casts Toll the Dead at the ghoul Harukai hit. DC 14 WisST or 10 necrotic damage.

Nil rushes next to Haru thrusting once with his rapier before following up with a slash from his short sword

Raiper: To Hit 6 Damage 8

Dagger: To Hit 16 Damage 9 

Nil swings at the first ghoul with his rapier but misses. His follow up with his short sword connects, slashing across the midsection of the ghoul.

Harukai unleases three radiant sun bolts on the ghoul damaged by Nil, and it ignites in a flame and falls burning to the ground.

Sildar draws his longsword and rushes the ghouls, slashing toward one of them.

Attack: 9 Damage: 3

Sildar misses. 

The five remaining ghouls attack, biting and slashing. Three attack Sildar as he is the closest and the other two attack Nil and Harukai.

Jackson casts Toll the Dead on one of the ghouls.

Return to the top of the round. 5 Ghouls standing, one damaged by Jackson. 

Harukai drops his glowing sword and swings the staff of striking at the ghoul who came and attacked him, trying to cave in the side of its head.

2-H Staff attack:  Attack: 27 Damage: 14

Following up with an spinning kick to its ribcage, Harukai hopefully takes out this foul creature, moving to help Nilparin flank his enemy.

Unarmed Strike:  Attack: 11 Damage: 8

Jackson casts Bless at 1st level on Harukai, Nil and Sildar, continuing to use his movement to maneuver out of reach of the ghouls if necessary.

Nil seeing Sildar take those attacks will first attack the one attacking him before moving next to Sildar

Rapier: To Hit 23 Damage 11

Shortsword: To Hit 11 Damage 9

Nil strikes one of the ghouls with his rapier, but misses with his shortsword. 

Harukai slams the ghoul already injured by Jackson’s toll the dead, and a staff strike followed by kick knocks it to the ground and it lets out a low shriek before dying. 

Sildar will continue to swing his sword at the ghouls on him.

Four ghouls remain, three continue to attack sildar and one will attack Nil with bite attacks.
