(If I'm reading this map correctly, I think we're in the bottom left room; otherwise, we would have already crossed the bridge, gone through the coffin room or seen a pool of water.)
“That is where they store some of the items they steal. There are secret doors in the walls that the key can open. Above the crypts is where they keep their weapons too.”
OOC: good roll for map transcribing. The map looks professionally made.
Smiling at his work, Harukai wordlessly hands the map to Jackson and retreats to a corner to meditate and prepare himself for the conflict to come...
OOC: I am assuming this looting, discussion, mapping, etc takes most of a short rest, so Harukai hopes to spend a few minutes meditating and refreshing his Qi.

Jackson intently looks the map over. "Well...if we move out of this room the way we came and go up these stairs, I believe we'll find ourselves in the large room with the two bridges and the eye creature. For whatever reason, the goblin was insistent we take the northern bridge rather than the southern. We should also be sure to offer food to the eye creature should we find it. It eats dead things...and while I will say I'm against it, perhaps we could offer the bodies of these bugbears? I suppose we could speak to it and negotiate first. What say you, all?"
"Well I personally don't like the idea of this eye monster, if we wanted to try to negotiate with it first we could but I think it would be smart to be ready to fight as well."
Now that the others have commented, Harukai adds his thoughts.
”If this creature has become dependent on food offerings from above, then it become a dangerous threat to the town once we clear this hideout and it gets hungry. If it is not dependent on food from above and just heads back to wherever it came from, no problem.”
”I say we cross the bridge with no food offerings. If it comes after us, it has become dependent on feedings from above and we will have to put it down. If it leaves us alone, there is a chance it will return to its natural habitat once we have dealt with the bandits.”

The group, going back through the door and up the small set of stairs, come into the room with a large crevasse. The light is very low here. Moving slowly and keeping a look out for the monster, the group begins across the northern foot bridge.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If Harukai thinks the light is low enough that he has trouble seeing, he will draw his moon blade to provide light. Note that he will be towards the middle/back of the group so that those with dark vision can go ahead of him.

As the group is halfway across the bridge, you can feel an unnaturally cold breeze from the crevasse, accompanied by the smell of decay. On the north side of the crevasse, you can see something glisten from the light emitting from moon touched sword, but you cannot discern at this time what it is. As your attention is toward the flash of light to the north, slithering and scraping sound is heard to the south end of the crevasse. You turn to see a large creature with large claws, sharp teeth, armored spikes on its back, and one large eyeball set in its face climbing from the crevasse near the southern bridge. You hear in a guttural voice "Intruders!" but you do not hear this with your ears, but rather your mind. The voice is actually inside your heads. It makes tittering laughter as it surveys your group and begins speaking some inaudible gibberish.

OOC: you are totally correct. The party is in the bottom left room. My mind must be elsewhere! Thank you

"A weird eye creature? North bridge? What of the small alcove north of the northernmost bridge, Droop? What is that?"
Harukai, being a calligrapher by trade, takes out his supplies and attempts to commit the map to parchment for future reference.

The group takes some time to catch their breath, patch up their wounds, and prepare for upcoming conflicts in the hideout.
OOC: a short rest is taken. Spend hit dice if you wish to and any abilities regained through short rests.

Finishing his meditation, Harukai steps up with renewed energy. He looks over Jackson’s shoulder at the map, asking, “Where to next?”
