As you walk down the hallway you notice that the cobblestone floor in front of you does not look the same as the rest of the floor you have encountered. The stones have a lighter shade of gray to them. Looking to your left you see a small handrail about chest high and a small narrow ledge just above the strange stones that you can shimmy across. Lifting up one of the stones with the edge of your blade you see the floor below has been dug into a 6 foot deep pit and the weakened stones would break under your weight.
"TYR'S BEARD!" Jackson exclaims, opting to go back to inform the group of his find rather than brave the hallway alone.
"We must be wary of the hallway to the southeast. It appears trapped. There is, however, a handrail that we use to help us traverse a narrow ledge off to the side."
"Okay well I don't know what happened to those redbrands but it doesn't seem like they'll be coming back anytime soon so let's get the family out of here while we can."
Having been guarding the family while Jackson was on his recon, Harukai has asked them their names and what they can tell him of their experiences. Unless what they tell him makes him reconsider, he suggests they take the family out the way the party has already cleared, through the secret passage.
”I can trail along behind in case the redbrands attack as we leave. Brother Greystone, can you lead us out of this dungeon?”

The family retells their abuses at the hand of the redbrands and how the father of the family was murdered by the group. You are able to lead the family out the way you came without any issue.
After the family is out, Jackson leads them to the hallway, points out the odd-colored stones and traverses across using the handrail and narrow ledge. After he gets across, he inches open the door to peek inside.
Harukai is concerned about the family getting back to town safely while there are still redbrands around. Perhaps they can take shelter with the brave boy and his mom until Sildar gets Iarno settled and we clear out the rest of the base...

Upon returning to the hallway in the hideout and everyone making it around the trap, the group comes into a room with a large cistern filled with water and barrels and bwooden boxes sitting along the walls. On the right side of the cistern there is a closed door and on the east side of the room is steps that lead up to a ledge and another door.
In searching the room you find food supplies such as dried meat and flour in the barrels. Under one barrel you find a small pouch containing 150 gold pieces. This is likely one of the bandit’s personal stash.
Nil goes to put his ear to the door and as he leans toward the door his foot slips and he falls against the door.
Voices from the door say “what was that?”
The door opens and three redbrands in the room, each carrying a tankard of ale, stand looking at you.
As you travel down the hall, give a perception check please.

Did you take the family back through the hideout you cleared and to the secret entrance or having them follow through the rest of the hideout?

(OOC: I vote to take them out the secret entrance since it will be the quickest imo)

When we return to the hideout, Harukai will thank Jackson for his excellent scouting and bypass the trap as well.
