Loche wouldn't like it, but Loche's not here, and as far as Skye can see, the pros outweigh the cons. Watching the others sign gives her an idea of what to expect, and so when the pain pierces her hand she's ready for it.
Wendy Skye is written on the line in red. She always did wish being a genasi gave her a cool blood color. Alas.

All the party having signed save Flute the Gentleman cocks his eyebrow at the cleric. "Seems you're the odd man out my friend," the Gentleman says with a sigh then rubs his goatee with a shrug. "If testifying the influence for your Goddess isn't enough you've been offered coin to help with that mission too," he adds with a smirk leaning back in his chair as the pen lays on the table beside Flute's contract. "Sign or leave," he adds again. "I'm afraid my trust with this task only goes so far on faith," he adds.

Flute deliberates for a bit. Looks at the contract and signs it. "Very well then. If Saranrea has deemed this a task i must complete, then that includes all that it entails. However, as i have said before my duty is first and foremost to her. This contract only binds me to the completion of this task."
As he signs the contract, he puts the pain of the mark behind him.
"Certainly my favor is easily discharged," tje Gentleman smirks motioning to the Drow who gathers up the contracts and tucks them away. "Bane will accompany you as well," the Gentleman then says a the look of surprised horror flashes over the Drow's face as the Tabaxi chuckles. A quick glance from the Gentleman quiets them both. "You have seven days until the festival. I need the bag by then," he adds firmly. "Sooner if possible," he quickly adds. "Good luck," he adds next before waving a hand to dismiss the group.
The Drow called Bane follows reluctantly and says nothing. He casts one last fleeting glance at the Gentleman who's now speaking to three people all good looking and ALL vying for his attention!

"We got this, boss," Raxil says to the Gentleman as he steps away from the group. "So, what do we need a babysitter for,"he asks of the drow, trying to project an aura of confidence to clearly indicate that Bane isn't needed.
"Babysitter," Bane says his accent decidedly foreign, think Russian, with a cocked eyebrow. "I have another task to perform. We'll say I travel with you as...insurance," he adds smirking. "Your unlucky in your choice of worship," he replies to Flute showing a symbol for the Raven Queen, "my lady knows life is full of gray areas until we're dead," he adds before striding towards the stairs that lead upstairs to the Evening Nip!
"You have another task to perform besides 'babysitting' us," asks Suerte, "or are we the 'another task' you are talking about?" As they're walking towards the stairs, Suerte makes a gesture with his hand and Fortuna disappears in puff of smoke.
Hearing them speak of their respective gods, Suerte, once again, pipes in, offering in a helpful voice, "My lady knows there's always more to know."
Skye will amble behind her hands laced behind her head. Funnily enough religious discussion isn't always her thing. She's not the most pious cleric out there. However she does pipe up "life and belief are ever changing and so to must we change with it. Or something like that probably. Said some priest of the changebringer somewhere I'm sure."

Raxil scoops up the purse of money and follows after the others. All the talk of religion is above the goblin but he feels like he should contribute some of his thoughts on life as well. "I like to smash things until it turns into a gray jelly. Then it will be dead. Think your lady would like that," he asks Bane.
Suerte, in reaction to Skye's statement, attempts to grab her arm, trying to hold her back for a brief moment in order to allow space to grow between the pair of them and the rest of the party. Regardless of her response, he almost immediately desists his attempted grapple and quietly and quickly says, "You must not speak of her so openly - her teachings are not approved here in the Empire and her worship is forbidden. Take care not to repeat this mistake among others who are not so - accepting."
Suerte then whispers, "May you make your own Path." Then, he walks away.
Her eyes go wide for a second, before she relaxes realizing Suerte is only giving a warning. "Oh you're right, I forgot about that." She makes a face. That's why she doesn't make it a habit to come to the Empire controlled territories of Wildemount. They have all these rules and restrictions and she's almost been locked a couple of times. "Thanks for the reminder." She says quietly, and repeats the sentiment back at him, sort of. "May you make your, yeah."
She'll follow behind him again repeating in her head not to say anything regarding the Changebringer to ingrain it in her mind so she doesn't slip up again. She does reach into her bag and pull out a bit of bandage to wrap around the tattoo of the holy symbol on the underside of her wrist.

Bane doesn't answer any more questions but does chime in. "By all means make it known who you worship outside of the four," Bane quips. "The crownsgaurd are such an understanding lot," he adds looking to Flute and Skye.
Going upstairs Bane gains many looks but no one stops him. He moves through the tavern pulling up a hood as he passes into the street.

Suerte, meanwhile, dutifully follows Bane. Unaware of his surroundings, but open to the empathic responses of Fortuna.
"I'm heading home. You need to find a place to stay," Bane says turning on the party but suddenly he's not drow but a dark skinned human man! "I'll meet you back here at sunrise," he adds disappearing into the crowd.
