"Great, Theos, I'm glad we are on the same page. I would tell you to speak softly but keep your weapons close. I'll fly up onto the roof over the door, I'll have my bow drawn. If possible if needed, get them to step out, VS you going in.... would you feel more comfortable with an emergency word?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Liet will nod, agreeing with the group, though not trusting of those in the cabin. "Theos, guide my feet and I'll sneak up to the side along with you. Our feathered friend might also need guidance to remain quiet while perched on or above the roof."
STEALTH: 10 (+1 if I have guidance, else ignore)

Liet will, at the same time as Theos approaches the cabin, also approach, though from another side, and attempt to remain hidden.
Ruhkis and Nalla please roll stealth if you intend to stay hidden. And let me know generally where you're hiding, by the door, in the treeline.... Etc.
With hand axes ready, Nalla will slink to hide behind the green tree off to the bottom left. She'll ready an action to move out if any of her teammates look like they have entered battle.
STEALTH: 9 (Still with disadvantage, lol. I need some sleep.)
"I'll approach them directly, while you guys should stay hidden. They'll respond better if they think they're not in danger." Theos then proceeds to lay his weapons down on the grass, and keep his backpack there as well. Now, he only has his emblem (holy symbol), chain mail, and common clothes. "I still have my emblem in case I need to cast spells." Theos walks over to the cabin, and if he reaches there uneventfully, he will knock on the front door, and make sure to stay fully in view from the window.
A moment a silence is followed by muffled tones from behind the door. The voices speak quickly, agitated, but are silent seconds later. You hear more shuffling and scrapes from inside. Those that aren't Theos see a few heads peek through the windows.
A breath later a young man answers the door. He is dressed in a light tan long sleeved shirt and trousers with leather shoes. His gaze betrays a feeling of concern. Behind him a woman stands with her hand on his shoulder. She wears a common, shabby dress. Her bare arms reveal an iron band wrapped tightly around one forearm. At the table behind them sit several teenage aged children, seemingly 13 to 18 or so. A girl and two boys.
"It is early, and you're far from the road..." The man says, eyes darting to the holy symbol then back to Theos. "Priest of Uldi... What can I do for you?" His breath reeks of alcohol, Theos can smell it even two full paces away.
Theos hears whispering inside as the man speaks.
McFuddy, from the roof, sees a man silently climb from a back window and slink off into the forest behind the cabin. The rest of you still see one set of eyes at each of the front two windows.
Liet notices the man's hand shift uncomfortablly behind him, and the woman as well. He knows that these are obviously not the same people he saw earlier.
The man's eyes once again shift from Theos and scan the forest edge. His eyes narrow momentarily as he looks in Liets direction before returning his gaze to Theos.
"Please," the man steps aside and motions for Theos to come in. "It would be rude of me to not offer a man of the cloth breakfast and rest."
Liet will telepathically whisper to Theos "be careful friend. I believe they've seen me, so they likely know you're not alone. These people are certainly connected with those from the camp, but how we cannot know."
Theos steps inside the cabin. "Thank you for your kindness stranger. I am Athelstan, an acolyte of Uldi. I was traveling from Caer Blaine to Luthaan with two other companions, acolytes as well. We were on the road when we were attacked by a bear and her cub. My two companions died then and there, and I escaped. I ran blindly into the woods, and only by the grace of Uldi have I arrived here. All I need to know is where I am, and then I'll be able to make my way to Luthaan."
While Theos is talking, he will look around the room, searching for clues as to who these people are.
Once Theos enters the building those peeking behind the windows disappear from the view to those outside.
As Theos steps in and begins to speak, it is evident that this place is a dump. Trash is strewn about the floor, and empty bottles of alcohol are scattered about. Stepping through the threshold, he spies another teenager, around seventeen, standing by the window. The boy is just as homely as the other three at the table behind the two adults.
The man motions for one of the boys at the table to get up, and he does without question. The man then turns back to Theos. "Please, priest of Uldi, sit. We don't have much, but we do have bread and water. Let us feed you before we get you back out onto the road. There were two others you say? And you're sure they've passed on? I could send one of my boys to help if need be, if they are still with us, perhaps?"
----------------------------
McFuddy, after the man enters the woods he slowly starts to make a large arc around the perimeter of the clearing through the woods. It appears as if he is searching for someone. Fortunately, however, he is not very quiet. You have visibility on him, and the others do not, but everyone can hear the sound of twigs cracking underfoot. The entire outside party now knows there is someone in the woods to their right, though they are unsure where.
((Assuming we saw McFuddy take off? Even if we didn't see who he is trailing, Ruhkis would assume it was for a good reason))
Ruhkis mutters quietly to no one in particular, "Must be a heavy-footed dwarf clomping around trying to flank us. Curse my dumbass for not bringing a crossbow." The dwarf sinks lower into the foliage as best he can and keeps his head on a swivel.
Theos will sit at the empty chair. "Thank you kindly for your help. I suppose a little water couldn't hurt. I was not sure if they were dead when I ran, I didn't see much of what happened to them. If there is anything I can do for you, I will do it. If you have any sick or wounded here, I can heal them happily."
He will try to gleam some information from what the men will say. Also, he'll rack his memory for some knowledge of those metal bands. They might've been in some folklore or story.

Near the cabin, Liet will be listening for any signs of a disturbance from inside indicating that Theos is in trouble. Noticing that he'd been seen, he'll also try to better hide himself from the sounds circling the cabin.
