Upon receiving confirmation that her Forge will still be run, Nalla will first look to Ruhkis and then confirm with Liet that she will accompany him. "I need to check a few things and then I'll be ready to go," she says softly.
Nalla is going to check on her Forge. She wants to make sure that everything is tidy so it's easy to find everything when others will be using it in her absence. She will also grab a few precious things (like her lucky hammer and an odd sword that looks to be purposefully bent out of shape) and put those in a locked chest in her personal home. She doesn't know who will be working at her Forge and she wants to make sure the few sentimental items she has will not be broken or stolen.
She will also, depending on time, take all three of her axes (the two hand axes and the one great ax) and give them some filing to make sure they're nice and sharp. She'll offer this service to anyone else in the party that would like it.
"Well I've spent too many of my days on the campaign trail living like a hobo. Not this time...I have some shopping to do!" ((Ruhkis will quickly rattle off the list posted in our OOC chat and wait to see if anyone expresses an interest in chipping in, then he'll take his leave.))
Liet will give you 20 gold, take one of the hooded lanterns, and the traveler's cloak.
((Also, it may not be delicious, but I've got Goodberries for food, and can also create water on the way, though would prepare something else once we get closer to our destination))
Liet is pretty shy. So he'll mostly just follow Theos around town before we head out. He's been on his own for a very long time before we all got together.
((To start for some RP from him though)) However, he will go up to the animals we've been provided and cast speak with animals to ask if they've been treated well, and tell let them know that we're going on an important task for the town, just to make sure that they know what they're getting into.
The animals were bought from a homestead on the outskirts of Luthaan and moved to here once the town began to rebuild. They had a good life there, they have a good life here. They are not particularly keen on doing something dangerous, but they will do what's asked of them.
Additionally, food for thought: The place to the north/west is in the forest. There is only one road, the road to Luthaan, you will HAVE to go through the thick of the foliage, which will be exceptionally difficult with large animals, and even more so with a wagon. Personally, I would consider either leaving it, or getting a ride as far as you can down the road. But that's obviously your all's call.

As Nalla finishes with her personal items, she will follow Ruhkis around town as he gets his items. Without saying anything, she'll grab and carry some of the larger items for him until he's finished shopping and she can then hand off the items while he rearranges his pack and bearings. She knows better than to offer to hold them for the trip. Ruhkis is a strong Dwarf; if he needs help, he'll ask, like he's always done. As he rearranges and as they wait for the others in our group, Nalla will give a progress report to Ruhkis. "I organized the Forge. It should burn hot for anyone who uses it in our absence."
((There are wagons leaving CB every few days to Luthaan, so you can cool your jets for a day or so and recuperate then possibly hitch a ride. Likely anyone would be able to give you a ride for free as you're helping the baron, plus extra muscle on uncertain roads are nice.))
((I think Rhukis has the shopping list done, provided for by the Baron. Liet needs no more than a day to rest, and then is ready to hitch a ride. About how far will we be going? Past the campsite from where we went into the woods last time? And about how long is the trek from the road to the cave? Anyone else need anything else?))
((A day's ride will put you where you need to cut north or so, but you don't know exactly where the location of anything is. You'll need to do some sleuthing or something... somehow... You know it's at the base of the mountains to the north 'ish' of where you were before at the cabin))
I'll just get some arrows and then I'll be ready to go.
NALLA
((I'm definitely down with hitching a ride on one of the wagons until we need to go off trail. That way we can protect the merchants on part of their journey and we can travel faster.))
"I'd like to learn more if possible... anyone wanna join?"Liet would say heading to the jail to talk with those with whom they came back. There, he'll ask them "We're headed off to find the cave of this new Demon soon... hopefully to stop them. Is there anything you can tell us of where it is, or.. well... anything that'd be useful?"((Liet ain't very charismatic, so he's not trying anything charming. Just straight to the point ~))
Greshak leads you to a small building, obviously hastily and recently constructed. In it are a couple of folks you don't know, but the rest of the crew from the cabin are in there. At your approach Blackey stands up from sitting in the corner and walks the short distance to the bars. He grasps the metal bars, knuckles white, scowl on his face.
"How dare you," Blackey spits on the floor in front of Liet. "My brother is dead because it was your all's idea for us to come here..."
"Mate, the little one didn't do it..." One of the others interjects. "It was that devil. I know your brother didn't deserve that, but so far we got off fairly lucky. They could have done us in."
"Fella," A third one motions for Liet to get near. "I'll make you a deal. You get us out of this place and we'll head straight back for the Dominion. It's obvious they don't want us here. In return I'll tell you EXACTLY where this 'new demon' is. I was a courier for the boss and Julius, Uldi show him mercy, a while ago so I know these woods pretty well. What do you say?"
((You have no reason to trust him, or distrust him. He's a thief by trade, so that's kinda bad. But he also knows he might hang if he stays here... You feel it might be a gamble.))
Liet will reply "thanks for understanding. And I'm sorry about your friends... Your help would be very appreciated. Let me go talk to me group, and to that devil here. He's the one we're working for..."
((Let's assume he came alone at this point)) Liet will make his way back to the group ((we're probably at an inn?)) and tell them what he heard. He'd like some advice before approaching The Baron
Nalla is at a table in the inn, polishing the axes she had just filed. As Liet enters and relays the story to the group, Nalla's polishing slows. Still looking at the metal, she speaks quietly, directing her comments at Ruhkis, though unintentionally loud enough for the rest of the group to hear as well. "Those on the road killed too many from Caer Blaine. The Baron cares about our people...and those men don't want to be one of our people."
I have resharpened my arrows and short swords. Went and checked any traps i had set before we left, collected any animals, and reset the traps. Then would head back to the inn to sell the rabbit and squirrel for the kitchen. while there he overhears what Leit had to say.
Walking out if the kitchen area he says "I don't trust him at all! They all deserved what they got.... probably worse, they did after all kill many people from the city and try to kill us. The way i see it, we have 2 options. 1. "make" him speak, and tell us what we need to know. or 2. Let him go.... then follow him. (they were not great at hiding their tracks, and I'm an expert tracker, especially in the woods.... although there is the risk that we lose the trail...However letting them go to not face punishment is NOT an option"
