With my attention on Fergus. "In sight of that foul sea creature, rage overtook me. I must destroy all unnatural things. As nature is beauty and must stay that way."
I would like to attempt to track the hooded man. I gain advantage on tracking him due to Favored enemy trait.

Stormbringer takes the compass and looks it over. "...Hmm reminds me of something from the ghost stories I used to hear from sailors as a boy..." he trails off as he turns the compass over in his hands examining it closely (history:1)
The half orc gazes a moment longer at the compass, then, seeing that Sarmyar has already moved on to search for tracks, puts the compass in his own pack.
ooc: is the farm house in the direction we need to go to get to Caer Callidyrr? if so maybe we should return there to make camp...
Fergus shouts at the Ranger before he gets too far along "Hold there Forester, let him go. He has a head start, it is dark and we have a greater duty to protect these younglings. However, I don't think its a good idea to take the younglings back to the farm house. We should just move inland a few furlongs and make camp until day break. You and the Dwarf have wounds to tend too and the younglings probably need to be fed.
Forester, scout us a campsite inland. Dwarf scavenge what supplies you can from this boat. Priest I trust you have the children. I have will cover our tracks and catch up with you."
Fergus will wait for the company to move out then he will drag the bodies into the boat, pour a flask of oil over the and the boat, light a torch and set the boat to flame before heading out after everyone else.
P.S. If the boat is small enough for Fergus to push out into the sea so that it floats away, he will do that just before setting it aflame.

As for me, I choose to believe that an extinct thunder lizard is running a game of Dungeons & Dragons via Twitter!
ooc: is the farm house on the way to Caer Callidyrr? if not I'm totally on board with Fergus. However, if it is on the way Enog will attempt to convince Fergus that the farmhouse is the better tactical option. It also has the narrative bonus of letting us bury the kids' family, which was something Fergus was keen to do in the first place.
OOG The Farm-house is at south-west, so it is not on the way to Callydir. You can reach it within hours (a couple of hours). Fergus can set the boat aflame and push it in the open sea.
"One moment children. Hold Graysmith!" Enog shouts as he moves quickly to the boat before the human can ignite it. He quickly cuts the small sail free, and then gives the knight a wink. "The young'uns have no bed roll," He whispers conspiratorially. Then turning back and jogging on towards the kids, "Alright Pavel, Nadia, We need to move on and make our way away from here. Let's follow my elven friend Sarmyar. He's going to find us a place to camp tonight." The half-orc takes a hand from each child in his own, and they set off together. "Have you ever slept out under the stars?" he asks conversationally as the three set off after the ranger.
ooc: Enog Absolutely agrees, he's down to 4 hp and has used up all his spell slots... He'll take last watch, and if the ranger managed to get any game the night before he'll prepare breakfast. Enog spent a fair amount of time on kitchen duty in the temple back in his younger days.
Enog rises early in the pre-dawn hours, taking his turn on the last watch to meditate, pray, and begin prepping breakfast for the party. He forages around the area nearby the campsite for 15-20 min. Searching for fruits, herbs, or other vegetables. (survival:7) He takes what he finds and adds it to the leftover game that the ranger provided the night before. Finally he takes a small handful of coffee beans and brews a bit of coffee which soon fills the camp with it's amazing aroma.

[The hooded man went straight to west. The tracks are very clear to you.]

[Enog can't ascertain anything from the design of the compass. Neither can he undestand the usefulness of a compass not pointing north.]

"Yes, Sir, many times..."
I search around he for a suitable camp spot for the night.
Long days and pleasant rolls to everyone.
With your expertise in such things, you find a good spot in a blink of an eye. If the party so desire, you can take a long rest.
OOC: I am down with a long rest, I'll take 1st watch.
A long rest sounds good to me.

Me too.
Long days and pleasant rolls to everyone.
OOG Ok So If Enog will agree, you all take a long rest in a safe place and you wake up in full healthiness in the morning.
