On the left wall there are some shelves, but all the items that were on them are now on the floor: some books, maps, cartographer's tools. On the right wall there is a bed and a cupboard lying on the floor. The bed seems to be for a small humanoid.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Krisnen will start going through the assorted items, looking over each to determine if there is any value to them, searching also the bed and overturned cupboard.
Krisnen recognize that the books are written in Gnomish. Some are about History of the Sword Coast, others seems navigation routes. The cartographer's tools seems good to use, if one is able to. The cupboard is not locked.
Inside the cupboard, there is a most curious, wooden box. It is obviously locked, with no obvious keyholes. On the top face there is a writing in Gnomish and a strange triangle (see figure). The writing says:" Things comes in three each season ".
The blue numbers seems to be fixed. It is not possible to change them. The red numbers can be changed. They can varies from 1 to 19.
OOG sorry for the rudimentary picture, but I am not proficient in drawing skills.
Krisnen looks over the construction of the box, puzzled, 'No keyholes, hmm, what are you trying to hide in this box?", he begins fiddling with the dials trying different combinations.
OOC: I believe the solution to the problem is the top number is 2, and the bottom number is 10, so that all sides add to 24. I don't think Krisnen would be able to solve this using the arithmetic though (if I am correct), so he will have to stumble upon it using sheer luck.
Fergus suggest using a brute force attack on the box. Either let Enog smash it open with his mace, or pry it apart with a dagger, or start with 1 and 1 in the dials and systematically work your way to 19 and 19. As for Fergus he is heading out, as he really wants to get to Care Callidyr before dark.

As for me, I choose to believe that an extinct thunder lizard is running a game of Dungeons & Dragons via Twitter!
Krisnen objects to smashing it, he will periodically try different combinations until he figures it out. He is however ok with checking the rest of this deck quickly and then heading out.
When Krisnen catches up with Fergus he might suggest putting 5 in the top number and 15 in the bottom. That makes a 30 in each of the smaller triangles. If no that then an 8 in the top and an 18 in the bottom makes each side equal to 30. Each season has 3 months and each month has 30 days, not counting the special days that fall outside of the calendar.

With a 5 in the top triangle and 15 in the bottom, the box opens. Inside there are the captain's logbook (written in Gnomish), 3 potions of healing and a wand.
"Fergus, it would seem you have solved the puzzle." Krisnen smiles, reaches in and pulls out the potions, "These will surely help us, it looks like maybe you could use one now"
"Nay good Dwarf save those potions for when times are indeed dire. And as for that wand perhaps we should let the Priest investigate it while we travel. For we dare not tarry any longer. Forester, scout ahead at half a furlong and stay unnoticed! Dwarf you and the Priest keep the young ones between you. I will bring up the rear. Let's move like we have a purpose! "

Investigation: 3
Krisnen recognize that the books are written in Gnomish. Some are about History of the Sword Coast, others seems navigation routes. The cartographer's tools seems good to use, if one is able to. The cupboard is not locked.
Krisnen stores the cartographers tools for later, either use or to sell, and then sets the cupboard up and begins looking through it.
Inside the cupboard, there is a most curious, wooden box. It is obviously locked, with no obvious keyholes. On the top face there is a writing in Gnomish and a strange triangle (see figure). The writing says: " Things comes in three each season ".

OOC: ooooh! A puzzle!!!!
OOG Of course, you can use arithmetic, unless you character has 8 in Intelligence.
Krisnen put 2 on the top red triangle and 10 on the bottom and....nothing happens.
OOC: My character does have an 8 intelligence lol, but methinks you might have already known that ;-) Man, I really thought I had that.
OOC: Wait, did I do basic math wrong...ugh, is it 2 on the top 12 on the bottom?
OOG Ops...seriously I didn't check. But that's ok, let's see if the others guys can help Krisnen out. Of course, you can take the box with you.
OOG Still no. You almost nailed it, but maybe you should consider that sentence.
Fergus suggest using a brute force attack on the box. Either let Enog smash it open with his mace, or pry it apart with a dagger, or start with 1 and 1 in the dials and systematically work your way to 19 and 19. Krisnen will attempt Fergus's suggestions
OOC: I guess 5 and 15 is close to 2 and 12. So maybe :-D
OOG The box esplodes!!!....no just kidding.
With a 5 in the top triangle and 15 in the bottom, the box opens. Inside there are the captain's logbook (written in Gnomish), 3 potions of healing and a wand.

OOC: YAY! Good Job Auberginian!

OOG I have to ask, Enog did you dispelled the Fog?
With my deft and quiet feet, I will scout ahead making sure to stay unnoticed.
Long days and pleasant rolls to everyone.
