(religion:18) "Hail, and well met, m'lady Kivana. What more can you tell us of this plague? Has it spread to the High King's court?" Enog asks concern plain on his face.
ooc: sad to say, even with religion trained I only managed a 15...
Moonwells are an elusive topic even for the wise Enog
"The plague started a couple of days after strange orcs attacked Callidyr. The plague itself would be a problem if the Moonwell were not corrupted...The court of King Kendrick is safe, you can reach the Keep without passing through the Upper City"
OOG Found this map which is incredibly similar to what I have in mind for Caer Callidyr. Almost all the points you see have some interest. I imagined also the refugee camp.
Fergus gives a hint of bow towards the woman, "Thank you madame for your assistance. It seems the situation is much more dire than we had expected. I fear that we must not delay any longer. Your kindness and hospitality is a credit to your family. " Fergus slips the woman a pair of silver coins and then turns to his companions. "He must make our way to the King without further distraction. " Then Fergus heads out.

As for me, I choose to believe that an extinct thunder lizard is running a game of Dungeons & Dragons via Twitter!
As soon as the adventurers arrive at the gate of Kendrick Keep, a guard comes forward to mett them:" Stop there, strangers. Please state your business to me."
Fergus furrows his brow and glares at the soldier, "Have the soldiers of Callidyr grown so lax in their courtesies? You, sir, address Sir Fergus Graysmith, son of Lord Aldric Graysmith of Baldur's Gate, dispatched here by my father at the personal request of His Majesty King Kendrick! So, now, send your messenger without delay to the King's Chancellor and notify him that we have arrived and request an audience with the King as soon as His Majesty can see us. The matter is of grave urgency and I am sure that the King would be very displeased to find out that our entrance to his court has been unnecessarily delayed."
And with that Fergus assumes a manner that brokers no further discussion and stares at the guard in a way that conveys he expects immediate compliance.

Krisnen, standing a bit behind and to the right of Fergus glances at the other two members of the party and kinda shrugs as if to say, 'Better than I would have said it'
"Regardless who you are, Sir, we live in difficult times and I am just doing my duty." The guar then makes a signal toward the inner courtyard. After few minutes, a human with a greenish skin and long hair (a water genasi, it seems) comes outside the gate to meet the adventurers:" Welcome to Caer Callidyr, Sirs. I am Vondal, the seneschal of King Kendrick's court. It is my understanding that you are here on a call from the HIgh King himself. Your timing is almost perfect. Tomorrow morning the High King will chair a meeting in the Hall here in the Keep with some of the most important persons in Callidyr, to discuss some of the matters of which, I am sure, you are already aware. The High King will be glad if you will attend."
Fergus gives a slight nod to the seneschal "If His Grace wishes us to attend then of course it would be our honor. Now kind Sir could you recommend an appropriate place for my retinue and I to acquire accommodations for the night? It has been a long journey and we wish to make ourselves properly presentable for His Grace."

"I may suggest The Noble Merfolk, in the west part of the city. It arguably the most expensive, but also the quietest tavern in Callidyr. Otherwise, there would be The Blue Sailsby the docks. The patrons there are not particularly troublesome but from time to time sailors drink too much."
Does random knowledge about moonwells mysteriously pop into Fergus's head? 21
Fergus wants to try to remember about Moonwells a second time...

"Well The Blue Sails sounds like a good deal more fun than The Noble Merfolk," Enog says quietly to Krisnen.
