(Volgiah will take a light crossbow, considering she never got close enough to hit anyone last battle, and a bundle of bolts as well.)
Volgiah eyes the black scaled dragonborn.
"Nadaar." She says, testing out the name.
"Right. Well Nadaar, let's hope our partnership is a benificial one. Just so we're all on the same page, what is it you can do?" The dwarf asks, tying up her red hair into a tight bun. She pauses as she remembers something. She turns and slaps Suneni on the hip.
"You! Armor! I'm not gonna say it again. If I'm gonna keep ya'll healed, ya gotta meet me half way and keep yourselves protected."
Garrus gives a look over at the new comer, not really caring for his words. In his experience, words don't hold much value. Garrus turns to look at everyone he had fought beside earlier, "We're short on time. Let's go."
(I'm going to move this thing along, but feel free to continue to converse among yourselves.)
You depart the city in silence, the hopes and prayers of a city on your shoulders. You traverse the vast expanse Black Ash Plains for many hours, giving the fire giant encampment a wide berth, Nadaar leading the way. The Crippled Mountain looms before you, illuminated in the light of the dawn. By the time the sun has risen fully in the heavens, you have arrived at the base of the mountain. Nadaar leads you to an abandoned goblin tunnel which, unknown to the fire giants, cleaves a path through the mountain and into the fire giant stronghold.
At Volgiah's light slap, Suneni would groan, hunching her shoulders and folding her arms, pulling a face. "I'm a monk! I move quickly without armor, deflecting blows like the wind!" As she made her half-hearted speech, one of the wounds from the earlier fight twinged and she grimaced, wincing. "I'm... not above critique, some simple chain mail could be... useful," she admitted.

(@Wreck A very belated 'I got you in my sights!' ( * *) )
Nadaar shook the centaur hand most heartily, and to Suneni he had replied cheekily, "I would never dare think of stealing all the glory from you, darling or the matriach here."Then to Volgiah, he had to tug at his whiskers in thought again before clapping his hands. "Well, I'm an entertainer. A scholar. Annn okay scout. And a.. a bit of this and that." He shrugged unhelpfully.
"I'm a pretty skilled hand in doing field triage as well, though not nearly as good as one so lovely." He gives Volgiah a wink, and could only chuckle at Garrus's assertions. "As you wish, my masked friend. As you wish..."Before turning to lead the way out, Nadaar watches the interaction between Suneni and Volgiah. For a moment, the easy-going air about him fades into the background to one more akin to melancholy. Then it passes, prompting the dragonborn to clear his throat and motion for the duo to follow after him.
Once the group is under way, Nadaar takes on a more professional air, and leaves up to the matriach's expectations. And quiet. But open to speak when certain the wind or location won't carry the groups voices too far.
"My friends. Welcome to the end of the line for hesitation." He turns back to look to the others. "Hope you all properly prepared yourself. For there's no turning back from here."
(@Wreck Ah~ I thought for a moment you secretly swapped or something.)
"Darling, I can do something for the scent if you all need me to. But I doubt we wanna stand quite so."Nadaar glances back down the tunnel and examines it himself. "It would be just our luck that something else has probably moved in since I've last had a chance to be by. My have the years gone by." At this point no one else wished to go in first, or had some other plan in mind, he pulls out a bullseye lantern to hold in one hand, and breaks out his longsword for the other to lead the way inside.

Koof. Looks like he was watching his step, and seen a bunch of ants on the ground.. Lol)
(Yes, you awoke with full HP and gained the benefits of a Long Rest.)
Nadaar leads the way through the gloomy tunnel for several minutes until it opens up into a massive natural cavern. A dark lake, which has lain undisturbed for decades, spans the width of the cavern, offering no way around, and the ceiling looms hundreds of feet above you. On the opposite side of the lake the tunnel continues.
Ugh, swimming didn't sound appealing. "I find it highly unlikely, but do any of you happen to have a boat in your pockets?" Suneni said, her ears flickering irritably at this new obstacle. Sure she could swim, but that didn't mean she wanted to. Especially not across a huge lake. She would glance around, looking for any means of crossing.

Garrus notices his dragonborn companion's discomfort in the water and sighs, making sure his equipment is secured onto his body, he'll dive into the water head first and start swimming across.
"I'd make a jest about having something 'else' you can ride on instead, but now is hardly the time." Nadaar replied absent-mindedly, as he too looked around the cavern along with the others. With a curse under his breathe in draconic, the black-scaled jester casts Prestidigitation on his clothing to keep the warm(or cold if more appropriate here) for the next hour. "'Fore any of us go jumping in... Priestess. You wouldn't happen to know of them miracles for light now, would'ja?" He request, and if so, he gestures to one of the ringlets on his scale for her to cast the spell upon before jumping in after Garrus.
Nadaar takes to swimming as if he was born to the water.
Cleft touches the water with his hoof... then waits... looks around... and after a few more of his companions enter the water, he closes his eyes and begins walking into the water, slowly swimming across the top of the water.
“No light from me Nadaar. I’m better at healing and mending and making sure folk don’t bleed out, but I’m good in the dark so if you’re afraid of getting lost, you can hold onto my chest plate and I’ll guide you around.”
Volgiah eyes the water, sighing heavily.
“I’m starting to think my choice of armor was a mistake.” She mumbles as she eases into the water. Not the most adapt at swimming coupled with the heavy armor, she doggy paddles awkwardly toward the other side.
The water temperature is frigid, and you feel your limbs begin to grow numb as you make your way across the lake.
As you approach the opposite shore of the lake, you feel cold, dead hands clamp down on your legs, and you are dragged into the green deep. Submerged in the silent water, you feel unrelenting horror clutching at your heart as your lungs struggle to adapt to the frigid temperature and absence of air.
