Abigail sees Yaalin being harassed by the lone white hawk and lounges for it, "Won't you stay for dinner little bird?!"

 Seeing no other birds within striking distance, Abigail peers up at the nest and the circling white hawks, wondering how to proceed next.

Lafetha is just as tired of these birds as everyone else. She pulls out her [weapon]crossbow[/weapon] and takes aim at one of the birds in the sky

Two of the white-hawks (from A) dive bomb at Lafetha after a bolt flies at them.

The last of that trio (from A) heads dives down to Yaalin, who’s the most injured

The lone survivor of B also joins it’s pack mate on the hunt against Yaalin.

Round 5 (End)

Summary: Abigail lunges at the bird still attacking Yaalin, cutting it down.  Diadochi steps near Abigail and Yaalin, ready to protect either of them.  Lafetha pulls out her crossbow and takes a shot at the birds in the sky.  The birds, now being hunted, turn and dive bomb the group.  Two move and begin to peck and cut at Lafetha with their sharp beaks (11).  The other moves to attack the injured Yaalin, but is smacked hard by Diadochi’s shield.  The last of one group moves to attack as a pack with it’s nest mates, but isn’t able to get close enough.  Sim turns and takes a shot at (really any of the birds) but the arrow goes wide.  The lone bird flying away continues to move.  Yaalin takes a swing at the birds, but their fairly quick while they maneuver in such a tight space.  

Round 6 (Start)

Setup: One bird is continuing to fly away, having flown over 100 feet away into some clouds (perception check to see if you can find it).  Two birds are busy attacking Lafetha.  Two birds are busy attacking Yaalin.  Everyone’s close enough to attack any of the birds.

Abigail hisses in frustration. "I cannot wait for them all to be shish kebabs!" 

She strikes at one of the birds around Yaalin with her Main Hand Short Sword - Attack: 12 Damage: 6

and strikes out at the second bird around Yaalin with her Off Hand Short Sword - Attack: 8 Damage: 8

Lafetha takes one of her magic stones and hurls it at one of the birds attacking her.

Sim sighs as the four birds swoop down to attack again. “Here goes nothing.” He aims at one attacking Lafetha and fires. attack 24 damage 3

Diadochi Swing his Warhammer at the bird by Yaalin Attack: 11 Damage: 9   and then uses  action surge to attack again Attack: 21 Damage: 9 and uses protection fighter on whoever the bird attacks. 

The two birds on Lafetha continue their pecking after she misses with the rock, one of them trying to get around Diadochi's protection.

Yaalin Smiles as Diadochi swats at the birds around her. Her eyes closing for a moment. A soft glow emanating from herself and Lafetha Channel Divinity 2 to Yaalin 8 to Lafetha

Round 6 (End)

Summary: Abigail skewers a bird around Yaalin and Diadochi smacks the other one to the ground with a splat.  Lafetha tries to throw one of her rocks, but misses the birds who peck her open (7).  Sim lets loose a arrow, it striking one of the birds dead while Yaalin heals both Lafetha and herself (+2 Yaalin, +8 Lafetha)

Round 7 (Begin)

Setup: Lafetha lays prone on the ground, but awake and alive.  A single bird is near her.  

Seeing an opportunity, Abigail moves over to the cliff and tries once again to climb up it.

((She figures that the last bird is too occupied with hopefully getting dead, and the one that flew away will be too far to make it back in time.))

Diadochi hammers the remaining bird Attack: 19 Damage: 7 and protection fighter against whoever the bird attacks. 

The bird, dodging Diadochi's blow, disengages from the others and begins to fly away.

(You can shoot the bird for a round, but, combat over)

Round 7 / Combat Over

Abigail comes back down, with both a ring, and some kind of wand.  The ring itself looking like some kind of tightly coiled spring, while the wand is wood with images of spiders carved all through-out.

In addition, there are 3 eggs that can be gathered, but no hatched chicks.

(To identify, 1 person has to spend time with it during a short rest, but it means you can't recover during the short rest either.)

What do you all do?

Lafetha bows to Yaalin as a thanks for the heal. She then sits to rest now that all the birds are gone. She lets out a huge sigh and leans up against the rock she was hiding behind and closes her eyes.

Diadochi says "for future reference I preferred it when we just tried to negotiate with the bird rather than engage in a skirmishes with them. Hmmm. That ring looks interesting. My Cousin Nubla found a tribe of men, who had flesh made of metal and hearts were cogs... of course this was before she became a Kenku..." he will spend the short rest identifying the ring.

Listening to her companions murmur Yaalin settles down to meditate her skin tracing wave patterns of light as wounds slowly close 5 ((recovery 1 hit die))

Sim takes the wand in hand turning it over to look at the carvings. He will spend the hour studying it.
