Mal watches as the young boy rushes off after he's yelled at and turns over to the fast approaching port town. He didn't notice anything off about the boy, but it did seem odd that he was just standing there. Could have been nothing. Could have been his own imagination playing with him, or his over cautious nature. Whatever it was, it was probably nothing or it was and he simply just couldn't catch on to it yet. He'd wait and see how it played it out and carry on with the plan. He jerks his head to Gom and walks back down the hold to the others and sits down on a chair with a sigh. "The boy ended up being little more than just a waste of time," he said as he net his hands behind his head. "At least we're close to the port. Gom, how well do you think you can fit in with the merchanting crowd? Perhaps we could say you're my business partner of sorts? In case they start asking about you. Or would you rather sneak about while I keep them distracted with conversation?"

"Not sure, I spotted him looking at us several times during the trip here. An uncommon attention I would say. I think I ll move to the top of the deck and look for him when everyone disembark. Might have a quick chat with him if I manage to corner him. Just to dot the I"
Merrick will then take his leave. He nods his thanks at Con for the game.
(The idea is going to the top and putting myself directly in the path of the people getting out of the boat. Well, a bit on the side as not to be pushed overboard )
The ship begins to move again slowly into dock, the vessel finds it place among the dock. As you pull up to the dock it is actually quite busy there are 9 ships in port as of the moment and they are either bringing their gold back to the ships, moving cargo off of the ships or finishing any repairs and last minute checks for them to set sale. The command is shouted from the captain. "Right, get to it lads, I want myself a hot meal and a strong drink!"
The gang plank is placed, which is slightly larger then just for one person, as to accommodate for moving of goods and large boxes.
Merrick you can stand by the gang plank either on the ship or on the dock, chose a spot and make a perception check for me. you would also notice the dock keeper come on board with 2 guards at his side, he is an elderly man maybe past 50 wearing all black except for a fur lined cloak that he wraps himself in when there is a breeze. The guards are also in uniform that follow him they wear simple chain mail and a tunic with a picture of 2 hills and a river that passes through it on. Other guards of the dock have the same uniform.
Everyone else in the room, you hear the creaking of wood as the ship meets the dock and the shouting from the captain at which time there is a knock at the door and the same crew member is there with a smile on his face. "We have arrived in port, so you are welcome to embark as you wish, you travel has been prepaid so there is no more business that we need of you... safe travels!" With that he leaves.

Livvi collects her backpack, which contains all of her other gear that she isn't wearing, and moves with the group towards the gangplank and goes ashore. Once the party is together - or at least within sight distance of each other, she will follow the directions from the captain to the Water's Edge inn. With Con and the others by her side, and in her red leathers, they present a pretty impressive picture of determined force moving through the streets!
Of course, she knows to keep her head on a swivel and use all of her senses to be alert and on guard. Walking with grace and purpose, she watches and listens to the streets and storefronts and people buzzing about. Perception:12
Mal was sitting at the table, drumming his fingers on the table when news came that they had reached port. He heard the sudden rise of activity outside and stood, taking a moment to go down to his rooms and collect his things before making his way to land. The smell of fish and sea water was in the air, and he was looking around rather curiously at all the bustle at the docks while he followed everyone to the inn Livvi was going to, his quarter staff resting idly on his shoulder.

As the group walks through the docks, Con looks around to try to see the run-down part that he had learned about before, where their contact might be.
Aside from that, he walks to the right and just behind Livvi, keeping a watchful eye on anyone who approaches her, or fails to get out of her way fast enough. As they move through the streets, he also takes a good look at Mal's quarterstaff. Met some guys in the mountains, could kick the crap out of most fully-armed soldiers, with just a staff like that or with their bare fists even. You train with them?
Mal gives Con an appraised look when he recognized the staff and what it implied. "I have, indeed," he said, "a tough lot those. It's not particularly easy to learn how to beat a man up while dressed in full armour. I'm impressed you knew about them, Con."

We got sent to some pissant little village cause the peasants were whining to the local lord about bandits. We arrived to find your friends in the middle of dealing with the situation; I don't think they started it, but these bandits were none too bright and picked the wrong fight, you could say. Me and the boys just stood back and watched; I'd pay good money to see a show like that again.
Con looks Mal over; seems to me that someone with skills like that could do well in certain types of work; he glances around - there's no-one nearby but he's still careful about what he says; sorting out problems all quiet-like.
Merrick you are able to see the kid moving goods from the ship onto the port and squeezing between other people, but after a moment he vanishes, you swear you saw him get off the ship and never get back on but you don't know where.
You all find your feet on the dock looking over the busy area around you, though as you look further into the town it seems to have much less movement. The dock stretches maybe 100 feet or so to one side of the coast and beyond sight round the edge of the coast to the other, though that edge does seem quieter. The shops are open and bustling with business, people are shouting prices for their trades and taking goods into warehouses on the dock. The captain points out the Waters Edge Inn to you all which is, as the name, just on the edge of where the coast stops and the water starts, maybe a minutes walk through all the people.
Livvi you notice that there aren't many guards patrolling but the main body is either at the dock hands hut, the warehouses or with the dock hand himself. For a second you feel eyes on you but you think that might just be that you are the newest arrival, and you do paint a picture among the other travelers here. The captain says farewell and asks if you are staying long to come and see him when the ships return to trade in about 10 days.
"You have no idea," Mal says with a knowing smile. There were several people he wanted to use those skills on, and he still had a lot to learn. Something like this, work in this field would give him the skill and the practice to do something like that with hopefully some sense of ease."The skills are exceptionally well suited to what we're going to be doing here, I'd hope. If not... well we have you to guard our backs, hey?"

Sorry for some reason I wasn’t taking notification of this thread.
Rasen walks down the ship with the others after gathering his gear.
He has been watching the card game but didn’t participate. He is more concerned about that kid after Merrick words, and he tries to check if he, or other one follows them as they walk.
Gom will be sticking with the group, and while he is a bird-person, which may attract attention in itself, he'll do nothing really to add to that. Trying to keep a low profile within the group and just keeping his eyes peeled while going through town ((to wherever our destination is)) to start gathering knowledge of the types of people here, or anything else that might be interesting to note. Also, again, keeping a more specific eye out for the V tattoo the boy had.
PERCEPTION (keeping an eye out): 15
INSIGHT (for the people's motivations/focused on those who he sees checking his group out): 14
You all are able to move through the crowds of people on the dock, as you move you notice it is a large variety of races human, halfling and elves mainly, with a still strong number of dwarves, and gnomes that move through the dock. You can see a few of the more exotic races like tieflings, half orcs and dragon born but Gom still gets a few looks of interest.
Gom you don’t notice anymore kids with the V on their hand but you are able to hear conversations of passing travelers within the crowd even in the short journey.
“I’m glad the sea be soft round the coast makes for safe travel and regular stops”
“ apparently the lords takes most the guards from the barracks for the town for himself.”
”A lot of jewelers coming through this last run, Crystal diadem is gonna have some good sales this time round.”
You all make it to the front of the Waters Edge Inn, it’s a large building only 1 floor above ground level with a flat roof but it’s wide enough to fit a large number of travelers, you can hear a heavy sound of laughing and music from inside.
Gom will keep those lines to himself for now. But once the group is able to sit down and speak among themselves will repeat the last two lines for everyone to hear. Both give good information about planning a heist.
((for the V, just assume that Gom is always keeping an eye out for it (at least in this town) please~))
"Ahh - listen to that Con! Music and laughter...exactly what we seek! Come, friends, let's get settled in, have a meal, and start our mission! Because of the nature of this place, though, one of you burly men should take the lead for now and get us a couple of rooms. Not sure how they treat women here, and I'd rather keep them guessing. Also, I may be able to get a gig playing here, so I need to lay low for now." She then makes a motion meant to convey that she would follow the others.

Let's get somewhere to talk and eat for now. Someplace quiet, if they have it. Con pushes open the door into the tavern, and walks into the common room. He stops in the doorway, takes a good look around the room at the people inside, watching especially for anyone who strikes him as a potential threat. Perception: 7
He then moves further into the room, allowing the rest of the group to follow behind, and goes up to speak with the innkeeper if he can see one.

'Gom will nod and say "business partner", and then point to his ears, meaning that he will listen well.
