“Y’lovisa -  - treat carefully on the chest? Fumbles - can you help with your mage hand?”

"Stand back," Fumbles suggests. His mage hand floats back toward him, depositing the iron key in the gnome's physical hand, before floating toward the chest and opening it.

Inside are three bottles of black liquid, two potions of healing and a set of dice.

"You two could make use of those potions I imagine after taking that tumble towards the ceiling." Y'lovida pulls out one of the bottles of black liquid. "Anyone know what to make of this?"

"I'm alright, the potion I took before absorbed the worst of it, but I will save this for later." Karst replies stowing away one of the potions. "As for that, let me see one."

Investigation 19 to identify the black liquid 

“Karst, on the bright side, your face took most of the damage.”, Aradurk chuckles to his fellow adventurer.

"True, still prettier than you though Aradurk." Karst smiles as he jests "You know you were right about needing that potion but I think I'll use my own powers." Karst touches his wounds and infuses himself with his healing gift, restoring most of the damage. "There, like it never happened, so I won't have to blame you for setting off the trap in the first place."

Karst uses 10 points of Lay on Hands on himself. 

There is a slight grimace across his face as Aradurk puts his hand on Karst’s shoulder. “Just happy you’re alright. Now let’s find out what’s behind door number 2. I will try to not get us in another jam.”

Karst History: 12

The bottle looks like it's meant to be imbibed but the black liquid within the bottles smells very bitter. Karst is not sure what its purpose is but it's probably a safe bet that it isn't pleasant.

OOC: Ready to advance once an action is taken. 1 potion of healing has been added to Karst's inventory.

"Don't worry my friend, no harm done." Karst reassures the half-orc. Pocketing the three vials of probably poison Karst moves to the door indicated by Aradurk. "I'll get this one" once the others look ready he opens the door.

OOC: Which door is "door #2" that Aradurk is interested in opening? The set of double doors by the chest or the other door by the entryway (across from the corridor Y'lovisa had entered)?

Three bottles of black liquid have been added to Karst's inventory. These will remain unidentified for now but you can spend a short rest focusing on them to learn their properties, similar to magic items.

“...There is also a door to the left and right side of the entryway. Y'lovisa, Fumbles, and Aradurk are standing in the corridor by the right door.”

OOC: I believe we were lining up for the right door.

OOC: We all are at the double doors having moved over to the chest... If no one else picks up the remaining healing potion, Y'lovisa will take it.

"Let's move on, quickly please," Y'lovisa motions to the double doors the orc was guarding. "The rest of the rooms down here are essentially their library. Though I would like to spend time exploring, I don't think we have the time."

OOC: Sorry for the confusion, just didn't want to resolve the wrong door opening. The right door has already been opened, leading to the narrow corridor that Y'lovisa and Fumbles escaped to when the gravity flipped.

As the party prepares to open the double doors, Fumbles quickly opens the left door with the iron key, then closes it again behind him. "Four more doors," he explains. On his way back to the double doors, he pulls a crystal stone from his pocket and speaks into it. "Man, this guy has a thing about doors!...Oh, maybe that explains it...What? No, no, it isn't better than yours! Okay, we've secured the first floor, have to go." The gnome hands the key off to his mage hand once more, and it floats to the double doors, which slide open to reveal a circular room with a marvelous crystalline staircase that spirals to floors above and below. Pointing to the stairs, Fumbles says, "Where to next?"

OOC: So we have explored the initial door to the right (which leads to 4 more doors)? And the double door holds the crystal staircase. We have not explored the left door?

Aradurk looks confused. "So are we clearing the left side door or heading up?"

"Up, we are on the clock here, our undead friend outside could get discovered and we don't want to still be in the entrance hall when that happens." Karst looks confidently towards the route upstairs "Shall we?" 

OOC: That's correct, but Fumbles just checked the left door, which also leads to 4 more doors. The double doors you have opened have the staircase that goes up and down.

Moving up quietly as possible. "Give me a 5 second start then come up", Aradurk whispers to the team. I start up the stairs looking very carefully for anything out of place.

Aradurk leads the way up the stairs, walking alone for a few seconds. Y'lovisa and Karst soon see him walking up the stairs from below, as he reaches the "next" floor - a circular room with Karst, Y'lovisa and Fumbles looking down the set of stairs to him.
