The kender moves to the door and starts to try to open it so all can enter. 

"It's going to be a little bit crowded inside" says Shan to the minotaur " I could... shrink you so you can fit better inside with all of us. Do not worry! " she says quickly " It's only temporary..." 

You hear Alex call out in a loud whisper "Taylon get over here and pick this lock." He begins looking around hoping to judge how much time they might have before the watch shows up.

"I m sorry for the trouble. I can't stay here I need to go to Solace. The leader of the Seekers is a good man from what I have heard. He might be able to help me."

"Trouble? Oh, this is no trouble. We have days like this at least once every week - although never in Solace," replies Brenton.

"Perhaps he is," continues Brenton, "but based on what I saw just now, I doubt they'd be treating you nice."

After a couple more steps, he adds, "We do know one thing - they want that staff of yours for someone else. You wouldn't happen to know who they are giving you up to, do you?" 

A wry smile tugged at Karia's lips as they ran. "Quite a welcome home, huh?"

Shan smiles back at Karia.

"It's not much different when we ran and hide from that dwarf merchant when we were kids... Fireforge, Flint Fireforge was his name. Do you remember it? He was scarier than those goblins.." she tries to get a smile from her friend. 

Aye! He could tear a tree from its roots that one!

Fangor shakes his head. "Flint still talked about that. A good storyteller and a good drinker." 

"I don't believe this is the appropriate time to be reminiscing on times long past my friends." Regus is barely able to keep up, he is breathing hard and looks comical in the way he runs.

Shan look at Regus. " And what do you suggest we do while the kender opens the door my good Regus? " she seems dissapointed, for he failed to see what she was trying to do. She puts her hood on and whisper to the minotaur " Just think in what I told you once we get inside " and waits for the kender to open de door. 

"I trust you Shan, just can you end it if trouble comes. I dont want to be weaker then my enemy should they come for us" He days towering over the others. Sometimes being broad and tall was not a blessing.

 Looking at Regus he speaks."You know I can carry you right?"

Aye. This is when the phrase "strong as an Ox" holds true.

Cairn keeps his eyes open the whole way as best he can, still trying to stay in the conversation. 

Perception 19

It takes a second for the others to see that Taylon has opened the door and is already inside. 

The house is plain and once inside you realize that the twelve of you will be a bit crowded. Still it is better than being in the open. 

Elona turns to Brenton but a quick sign from him shuts her mouth. 

Nose can be heard from the outside as guards begin to search the other houses near. 

Elona whispers , " I don't know why they want the staff but I know that it must not fall into their hands. I don't think all the Seekers are bad but some of them are greedy and power hungry." 

" Whatever happens I must get away from this place, lest they catch me. In my dreams I see a dark shadow covering the land and the blue light snuffed if I loose the staff. "

The companion watch each other but are brought back to reality has footsteps are heard on the porch. 

- Brenton - 

Brenton makes the "silence" hand gesture one typically uses in hunting or scouting parties. He waves Alex over, when he's within arm's reach he whispers, "If there's another way out of here get ready to move everyone through it."

He then checks his crossbow and places himself between Elona and the door, his crossbow readied, waiting to see what happens next.

Alex you know that you might make it through the ruffs and move to the others buildings but your not sure all of you will make it. 

On the other side if you remain here they might move along. 

Otherwise you ll have to make a run for it. 

Alex trying to stay as quiet as possible "Zar block the door. Everyone else away from the windows and stay quiet. Maybe they will move along if the door seems locked." Alex will then duck behind a book shelf and try to keep an eye on the windows to see the guards.

Shan wishpers some words in the arcana language, 

Ytanderal limkir od y'd requistandilus

and as they walk in Zar size is reduced, so he can fit better in the now tight space of Tika's house. 

Taylon is looking at Tika's kitchen, but out of curiosity rather than with a clear objective in mind and he finally comes back to the main room biting a cookie while looking at all of them.

"Well, it's good to have the whole gang together again..." he says, trying to cheer up the rest.

He sits in the middel of the room and produces an object from one of his many bags and starts loiking at it with curiosity while bitting the cookie with the other hand. 

He has a metallic, beautiful carved bird in his hand... 

Fangor draws his scimitar and shield, keeping them at the ready in case anyone comes in. 

Regus is trying to calm his breathing and staying low to the floor, He has his wand out and ready to act if by some miracle they get by Zar.

Stealth: 10

Cairn will work to snuff out any lanterns or candles that could give away their position, or cover the windows to make it look like no one is home. But of course checks before just going up to the windows if the coast is clear.

Perception 19

16 (stealth roll) Algrenon grips his rapier and keeps his position. He has been distant from his friends this whole trip silently running idea after idea through his head running siutation after situation. The fact he feels so out of place within his own hometown is slowly starting to irritate him.
