(Since I’m at work all evening, I’ll go ahead and get Mercy’s Attack out of the way. On her turn, she’ll cast Guiding Bolt on the bulette {If already Dead, that’s the burrowshark, if he’s also dead, the hobgoblin furthest from her}.
Attack: 16 {Hmm. Let’s add my inspiration to roll advantage on that. 24 } Radiant Damage: 15 {Next attack on that target rolls with advantage.})
(Since this post is already screwed up {who knew correcting grammar counts as manipulating dice?}, can’t hurt to add one more edit. Mercy will React to the next attack against her with Hellish Rebuke. 2nd level. I’ll roll that in the next post just to give this one breathing room.)
Strife casts her heal and continues to remain in cover. Mercy (I'll let her go since she's at work) casts her spell, barely hitting the bulette, but still a hit. The damage wasn't as much as you were expecting, but still, damage is damage.
Carrhae: Sune gives you a knowing smile of acceptance, clear well knowing that you are indeed correct - your work is not nearly done, nor have you found the answers to questions you ask your heart from time to time. Back on your feet - Sune requires more of your service.
Carrhae stands up, still covered in her own blood and stares daggersat the Bulette. "DIE."

Attack: 23 Damage: 8
If the bulette is still alive after this, it's horrified by the fact that the creature that it thought was going to be a meal just got back up and shoved a sword between its eyes like a monster from Bulette hell. If Carrhae killed it, then she frightens the burrowshark.

Zephyr felt time stop when he saw Carrhae go down, even if it were just a moment, Strife quick on her feet to get the paladin back up and away from death's door. He glared at the weakened Bulette, gripping tightly on his sword, he attacks and when the blade (hopefully but PROBABLY NOT) hits, casts Inflict Wounds.
Attack: 26 Damage: 33
Since that wont hit since dice hate me-- The schlong comes over and whacks it too.
Attack: 16 Damage: 4
((and if the dice like me, the schlong will instead attack the prone burrowshark, will roll again for advantage))
Attack: 11 Damage: 9

"All will become equal now" | "Cause we're going to shout it loud, even if our words seem meaningless. It's like we're carrying the weight of the world"
Mercy stared at the dark road before her, lit by unseen fires. Shadows walked past her, further into the darkness, pressing forward into the light. She couldn't sense any rhyme or reason to their movements, like watching an unfamiliar crowd go about their business. She stood at the edge of the shadows and turned, realizing she stood at a crossroads. One path led into darkness, the other, a light so brilliant it was nearly blinding.
She looked down at her hands, remembering the battle like a distant dream. But her body was whole, and strong, healthier than she'd ever felt. It was peaceful here. Yet she knew, she had a choice to make.
The Tiefling gasped for breath, pulled from the soothing half-light of death by a friend's spell. She trembled, staring at her arm in confusion.

Strife's heart was pounding in her chest. So much blood. That awful iron smell. Mercy's arm! And poor Carrhae, hanging on, lunging to bring down the stricken Bulette before the razor sharp beak could snap closed upon Strife herself. She felt they were out of their depth from the moment she saw the carnage wrought by the earth cultists at the ambush sight in the hills. She knew they were out of their depth when Daewen and Mercy reported a lich was in residence at this wretched compound.
She had tried to warn the others, to get the factions committed together, to get Augusto to pay attention, but none of that worked, and now it was too late. With the Bulette and Burrowshark slain, she felt hopeful about prevailing over the remaining Hobgoblins. But this was just a skirmish. Strife and her friends were worn very thin, and that would lose the war. They were going to die down here, and never set foot on the surface again. Her big dreams and plans had never even emerged from the egg, and would certainly never take wing now. She was going to fall apart soon, and sensing this, she desperately clutched for any shred of resolve, of resistance, of rage.
Of course. This was her fault. How could she have been so incredibly stupid to imagine impersonating a moron like Augusto would ever work on these sociopaths? Her friends had placed their hope and trust in her judgment, and she had failed, and now they were going to die. But they had every right to demand that she try, that she struggle to fix her fatal mistake right up until her last breath.
Picturing in her mind the vicious bullying countenance of the debased tyrant known as "Harold", Strife set about unleashing her fury upon the Hobgoblin that was next poised to attack. The bard's unsettling whispers assailed the creature's thoughts.
