The party heads back out the door of the manor and trudges back towards Phandalin. The first rays of the sun are peeking over the horizon and the area is quiet, other than the occasional rustle of animals in the underbrush. As you walk down the road, you can see the faint smoke coming from the chimney of the inn.
ooc: which is the time of the day? I don't remember if SIldar told us he'd stay at the prison or elsewhere but, unless it is very late, I'd go to find Sildar. eveybody agrees?
Delg follows the rest back to town. The fact that he did not find his cousin is not sitting well. It seems this Sildar might be a good starting point for some questions.
((It is early morning - you spent the afternoon/night clearing out the Redbrands hideout.))
The party trudges through town, heading towards the Townmaster's Hall and Sildar's temporary office. You don't encounter anyone on the road due to the early hour. As you approach the Hall, you see Sildar himself striding towards the door. He sees you, smiles and then frowns as he takes in your appearance. He waits at the door for you. As you get closer, he says, "Does this mean you were successful in clearing out the Redbrands and finding their leader?"
"But of course, good sir. Mostly, at any rate. The Redbrands are gone and will trouble you no more, but the leader rabbited. Raya here can fill you in on the specifics."

Sildar frowns again at Melkias' words. "The leader of the Redbrands escaped?" he asks. He opens the door and motions for you all to follow him into his office. He steps behind the desk and sits, still frowning. "That is worrying - it may have solved the immediate problem here in Phandalin, but he will likely make trouble elsewhere." Ajax says, "And there is more. We did not catch the leader, but we did understand that Iarno didn't disappear; he was with the Redbrands. Ajax hands the note to Sildar and waits.
Sildar takes the note and reads it, his eyebrows raising in surprise, then lowering in anger. "Iarno is working for the Black Spider and was the leader of the Redbrands?!" he sputters furiously. He stands and begins to pace behind his desk. He looks up at you. "Do you know where he is heading? Or what direction he went?" Without even waiting for your answer, he continues, as if to himself. "Iarno must be brought to justice." He takes a deep breath and turns to face the party.
"Iarno must be stopped, but there are other issues that need attention as well." He pauses again, looking you all over. "You look like you need food and a good rest. Head to the inn, rest and recover. I need to send some messages and check on some things. Once you have rested, come see me and I will have more information on how to proceed. You have my thanks and the thanks of the Lords' Alliance for ridding Phandalin of the Redbrands." He reaches into his desk and pulls out a coin pouch. He hands it over, the coins jingling faintly as he does. "Your reward, as promised," he says. ((There are 200gp in the pouch))
Ajax bows his head, thanking SIldar, and takes the pouch.
Fine, let's see tomorrow morning , then
iF everybody agrees, Ajac goes at the inn and invites everyone inside the sleeping room (if thay don't share it with others) and split the 200 gp + the 50gp already had for common gold: 60 gp each
I am really curious about what SIldar will tell us tomorrow but for the moment, yes, we well deserved a good night sleep. Even though...
I am troubled by these Redbrands...they aready seeked for us in this inn...we'd better sleep in turns...I can stay awake for the first few hours, good night
wow: I'd like to check with all of you if my calculations are fine: I currently have 493 gp of mine, does it make any sense to you?
@DM: In the common tresure I still have WAND OF GREAT FEAST, I'd like to check of much it could be worth if sold, do wee know some shop that would buy it here in Phandelin?
Still in Phandelin are there:
- armory that sells weapons or armor +1 and, if yes, how much does one cost?
- temples where to buy healing potion: do they cost 50 gp each?
((Ajax - there is no wand of great feast in this adventure, so I'm not sure where that came from. I searched the thread and didn't find any mention of a wand. Regardless, there is no magic shop in Phandalin. The only place in town that would have armor is the Lionshield Coster, and she does not have any magical armor. As for healing potions, you can try the Shrine of Luck, but the amount will likely be limited, given that Sister Garaela is the only one there. Prices may vary depending on how much she likes you. Remember, you found 2 potions in Klarg's treasure, and Sildar gave you 3 more before you set off for the Redbrand's hideout.))
The party stumbles back to the inn, and Toblen greets you all with a warm smile. He quickly finds two rooms for you and promises that there will be something hot to eat available when you are done resting.
((You get in a long rest, so reset your sheets accordingly. I will gather details on the 'quests' you've discovered so far and will post them later.))

Fine: we open the door
Melkias will step through the door, scouting it out to see if there's anything of note in the room.

Raya will be towards the back following Melkias.
Delg will keep one eye toward the rear as they go toward the door. When they get inside, he will go to the opposite side and look around.
Perception: 20
As you step through the door, you realize that you've been in this room before.
(Doors from area 3 lead into area 4)
This room is where you fought the skeletons before moving to the cells and rescuing the woman and her two children (area 5).
It appears that the party has scoured the manor hideout and killed or chased away any remaining combatants.
Ajax , bothered, holds his palms open
It looks like there is nothing else to see here. Well, I guess it is time to report to Sildar
Thus, if the others agree, he heads out with them, if possible avoiding the monster asking for meat
Melkias follows close behind Ajax, keeping an eye out for any danger on their leave from this dreadful place.

Raya follows Ajax and Melkias back to town.
ooc: I agree with Ajax, finding Sildar is the priority unless it's too late to do so.
Ajax heads straight to SIldar's office.
If it happens to pass close to the inn where the redbrands used to go, he peers through the windows
ooc: @DM it would be great if you could easily find the post(s) where Sildar gave us some quests! Not only the manor, if I remember well...

Once inside the office, Ajax adds:
And there is more: we did not catch the leader (Glasstaff) but we did understand that Iarno didn't disappear: he was with the redbrands
And so he gives to SIldar the piece of paper and waits to see his reaction
