Ajax retreats a few feet without lowering the weapon

”we have nothing against you but, use that brain of yours if you have any under all this fur: if you kill him we will kill you straight away. Your only chance is to cooperate. Now, who is this Klarg you are talking about?!”

“Klarg is the leader. Kill him and I will spare this creature,” he says as he shakes the captive in his hold.  

“Don’t listen to him. Save yourselves,” the captive says in a pained voice. 

The goblin shakes him again and says, “Kill Klarg and bring me his head and you can take this and go.”

The other goblins watch the exchange with wide eyes, and one of them says, “Yeemik, Klarg will kill us all!”

OCC:  Since our rest was interrupted, I am assuming I did not memorize sleep...

"Did you really go through all this trouble just to get someone to kill your leader? Why can't you do it?"

“It seems we each have what the other wants.  You want him,” he says, shaking the captive, “and I want Klarg dead.  Kill him, bring me his head, and you may all go.  If you do not, Klarg will kill you. He’s probably sending for reinforcements as we speak.” He smirks, and then growls something you don’t understand.  

Kai: 

"You didn't answer my question. Why can't you do it yourself?"

Ajax wants to try something hazardous: he takes the flask of water out and looks at the others, ominously 

”we can get a deal but in the meanwhile we must ensure he is treated well, please have some water”

if it works , once very close to the mouth, he tries to grab the knife all of a sudden and struggle the goblin arm away

As soon as Odo sees Ajax act he will immediately leap from the shadows to stand between the goblins and the captive. As he moves into position he'll strike one of the other goblins in the process. ((priority one is keeping Odo between the goblins and the captive))

Kyanite chuckles loudly, "By Cyric's purple, bushy beard, then reminds me of a tale.  One bright day in the middle of the night, two dead boys got up to fight, back to back they faced each other drew their bows and stabbed each other.  If you do not believe this lie is true, ask the Goblin, he spoke not sooth.  I think he has us dead to rights, lads.  After all, Goblins are an honorable race."

Yeemik watches Ajax with narrowed eyes as he draws the flask.  He growls something in goblin and tenses.

Kai:

 Suddenly, Ajax lunges for the knife.  0

Yeemik tries to fight him off, but is no match for the warrior.  Ajax forces Yeemik to release the captive, who falls to the ground with a thud and a moan. 

Odo, moving quietly, strikes out at one of the other goblins.  It is startled, but manages to move out of the way of Odo's staff. 

The remaining goblin, scimitar drawn, strikes out at Odo. Attack: 23 Damage: 3  The goblin's blade sinks into Odo's flesh, leaving a large slash.

Party is up!!

"All you had to do was drop the knife," Mulligan says, then takes a vicious uppercut swing of his hammer at the leader's head.

Attack: 13 Damage: 7

((Does anybody know if they make dice jails for RNG?))

Kyanite whirls on the Goblim that struck Odo pointing with his staff and releasing a [spell]Fire Bolt[\spell].

Attack: 9 Damage: 3

Mulligan swings at Yeemik and misses, as Kai sends fire streaking from his hands at the goblin who struck Odo.  The fiery bolt hits the goblin squarely in the chest and it staggers backwards, severely injured. 

Odo sees his chance to get revenge on the goblin that just cut him and swings back, all the while standing between the captive and the enemy.

((Ajax - you successfully wrested the captive out of his grasp.  Given his roll, I'll let you decide whether you want to grapple Yeemik or do something else.))
