Imela: The Adventure Begins

 With a juicy sounding thud as Ruggero's axe makes contact and sticks into the zombie's flesh, it starts to fall to its knees. However, bound by whatever force rose it, it fights the urge and still manages to stand. The other zombie in the back of the room also makes way over towards Theo, the nearest threat, and takes a swing while he's disoriented.

 Theo is spared this time as the zombie's fist only strikes the shoulder of his armor. Good thing too. His head is still spinning from that last thrashing.

Viaya and Zakon, have at it!

"Goddamn, these things don't die..."

Zakon watches from the safety of the hall, loosing another arrow at the zombie attacking Theo.

Noting Theo's unsteadiness, Viaya follows Zakon's lead and flings her second dagger at the zombie attacking the half orc.

Attack: 14 Damage: 6

If the zombie attacking Theo remains standing, Kelvin will contribute another frostbite.

Theo feels the chaos of this melee, probably because he waded into the middle of these cursed creatures, his ears still ringing from the zombie's strike. 

[How many are left? ]

 Viaya's aim has been on fire today. Her dagger sails true and strikes the zombie that struck Theo in the shoulder. That doesn't seem to faze it much, but it's at least a start. It grunts, indicating it at least felt the strike. Zakon just doesn't have as good of an aim standing in the doorway, trying to avoid the others and still hit the zombie. The arrow sails over its head.

The zombie who Ruggero had been desperately trying to hack to pieces finally stirs and takes a swing at the dwarf in retribution.

 Ruggero's armor, yet again, proves its worth, blocking the zombie's swing. Kelvin attempts to freeze the zombies again, trying to slow them down, but the creature nimbly bends away from the blast, having learned its lesson from the previous attacks on its brethren.

Theo is up! You've knocked out at least one this round.

 Theo just lashes out with his war hammer at the nearest  zombie.

Kelvin shoots an icy ray at the Zombie in D9. "Get in the fray Ruggero! Don't let them surround Theo!!"

 Theo takes a mighty swing at the zombie standing in front of him. Since these creatures were clearly not going to show mercy, neither was the half-orc. With a mighty heave, he smashes the zombie. It's still clinging to life, but just barely. Judging by Theo's hit, he had broken its neck, several ribs, and its skull is dented. It probably couldn't handle another hit like that.

The zombie behind Theo decides to take advantage of his focus being drawn elsewhere and takes another swing at him.

 It manages to make a good thump on Theo's back, but his armor keeps him from getting any further injuries.

Ruggero, you're up!

Sent a message a few days ago. I will have to roll for them, but I managed to get pretty sick recently. I think it may have been some orcish cooking :) Anyway, when I have my energy back,  we'll move on.

 Ruggero only shook his head, realizing what they were up against. "There's too many of 'em!" he shouts. "No person is worth all of this trouble and all of our lives." Before anyone else can talk some sense into him, he slips out the door, running back down the stairs, jumping over the hole in the floor, and leaving. Right about that time, one of the two zombies still going after Theo strikes (C7 Zombie).

 Again, it swings wildly at Theo, socking him low in the gut this time.

Viaya is up!

 The zombies are swarming and even though there's only three of the buggers, Viaya knows that something has to be done and soon. Their cleric is in grave danger of being overcome. Just as she's about to shout out to Ruggero to give her some support as she moves farther into the room however, the dwarf shouts out about none of this being worth the trouble and shoves past her. "Ruggero!" He doesn't pause, doesn't look back, slipping out of the door and vanishing from sight. Cursing him for a coward, the elf turns back toward Theo, gritting her teeth in a scowl before going through with her original idea anyways. "We have to help him." She calls to the others, moving to flank the one who just attacked the half orc (C7) and lashing out with her rapier.

Zakon grunts as Ruggero rushes past him from his post in the doorway.  Snarling at his disappearing back, Zakon turns his attention back to the chaos in the room ahead.  His bowstring twangs as he fires off another shot at the zombie threatening Theo.
