Ruggero gets from the floor, dusts himself off, and then pulls out his battle axe ready for what dangers may lie ahead of them. "Do ya want me ta take point?" Ruggero asks.
Zakon waits impatiently to see if Viaya and Kelvin learn anything from the scrolls they are poring over. His skin is crawling and he is suddenly uneasy. "Anything enlightening?" he asks. "If it will take time to study, perhaps we should explore the rest of the building and then look over them when we have more time," he says. "The boy may not have much time left and something tells me whatever else we find here won't be good," he says with a grimace. Why am I surprised? he thinks to himself. Yet another temple that is nothing but a danger.
"Are those scrolls of magick? Fascinating!"Kelvin exclaims as Yiaya withdraws the pieces of parchment from their case. "Those will certainly come in handy! Shall we proceed? I'm in favor of letting Ruggero take point, your thick hide saved me once before in Kolovoro. Although..." he continues musingly, "Theo you're quite the beefy looking fellow if you don't mind me saying..."

"Hmmm, this doorway doesn't seem to be able to fit two people, maybe Ruggero ought to take lead after all, just in case Theo needs to work his holy arts."
Theo's jaw juts out at Kelvin. He is not sure he understands humans. Has he just been insulted? "Does he think I'm livestock?" Kelvindoes not seem to be issuing a challenge. Theo thinks it must be something to do with exposure to sorcery.

Ruggero nods at Kelvin and before heading through the doorway leans into Theo and says "thanks for da guidance," and, when the party is ready heads through the doorway, his hand gripping his battle axe.
As the party files out into the hallway, you can spot the door down the hall to the right that leads back to the front hall. There are also two doors on the left. The one directly across from the door to the front hall is where Ruggero spotted the dining room. Closer to you is another door on the left just next to the dining room.
Sorry, at class right now, so I don't have a map. Just know that there are only two other rooms on this floor that you have not explored. One you know is the dining room.

Ruggero nods at Theo, and looking back at the rest his companions, makes his way towards the door on the left while Theo's guidance gives him confidence.
You enter the kitchen. Several shelves and counters line the walls of the room. Bowls, chopping boards, and other kitchen implements are arranged along the counters and on the shelves. The overall impression is one of neatness and order, though the thick layer of dust that covers all the surfaces suggest that whoever arranged this room has not been back for a very long time. Two staircases lead out of the room, one downwards and one upwards.
Ruggero: Nothing seems amiss in here, except for the fact that that there is still some food on the shelves (grains and a few root vegetables mostly) that still look edible, aside from being coated in dust. But, if this place is a hundred or more years old, how could the food still look untouched or not even the slightest bit rotten?

Ruggero saunters over to the shelves filled with non-rotten food. He leans close and smells the food and tries his best to investigate without touching anything (Investigation: 2). He then looks at the two set of stairs and then back at his companions. "So, are thinking going ups or going downs?"
My luck is crap these days. Also, is it possible to get one map showing all the rooms we have already been through. I think it will make it easier for all us. Thanks.

Kelvin walks up, intrigued by the food as well. "If it weren't for the dust, I'd say these people were about to make dinner. What sort of enchantment does this? More importantly why? I think the basement might be better to start with, let's get that out of the way."

It could be this reminds Theo of the hours he himself spent copying texts but he is ready as well.
"Yes, that will be good. I will follow." Casts guidance 1d4 to skill check. (that would be for ruggero and or zakon)

Being careful to open the cases, Viaya pulls out three scrolls that contain spells. Two are for the spell bless and one for lesser restoration.

This is a cantrip, so as long as I'm with you, and you make skill checks you can add 1d4. I will keep casting it as i can.

Does the kitchen connect directly to the dinning room or would we have to go back out into the hall?
