In what ever time they have on the beach before setting off for the temple Saryn digs around in the sand looking for shells and anything else that catches her eyes.
"I despise the underground. Not enough vision or distance usually." Enna is displeased with this sudden demand to venture underground. "What are the chances we take home something a little extra?"

Dominique just takes in his orders silently. He understands his companies questions and desire for Intel, but if they had anything that needed sharing, the Loxodon would do so. Probably. If he felt like it. Still, he had no official ranking, so he wasn't obligated to silence them. Expectingly he watched the.magistrate to see if he would give in to the request.
Pazumin looks at Enna a bit worried. "You mean like feather mites? Those itch so bad and ruins things until you molt. I'd rather not return with something extra like that."

Magister Albrecht considers your questions carefully before answering them. "The ruins of the civilization we are investigating belonged to a society of people with an adept knowledge of the workings of magicules. Often they guarded their most valuable items with curses and traps. I do not think we will encounter any 'intelligent' life forms that wish to oppose us, but there may be restless souls beneath the earth here. I only wish to retrieve the key for our main objective, and while I do not necessarily advise collecting other items, I am not opposed. Do mind the curses that may be. If you wish to collect specific items for this journey, you may. We leave in an hour at most."
If(when) no one laughs Saryn uses Minor Illusion to make the sound of a crowd of people laughing. She then continues to comb the beach for anything pretty.
Pazumin looks around at the group. "I am not sure any can at this point, I myself am a fighter." She indicates her bow, shield, and whip as she says this.

"Curses do not scare me. If its some good loot we may as well grab it and worry about dealing with the nasties later." Enna pulls out her quiver and bow for a quick inspection. Checking that the string is tight and there are not cracks in the wood, confirming everything is still in good shape she moves on to her arrows. Making sure each arrow head is secured properly and sharp, the shafts are all straight, and the fletchings are intact. When she is done she stows everything, takes a long swig from her flask, and gestures to Whistle. "When are we heading out? I'm ready to get this over with."
"I see no cause to wait around."Whistle looks to the loxodon with a determined look, removing her tricorn hat from the tip of her tent and donning it, "Lead the way Magister Albrecht."

Dominique squints as he goes over the list "Camp has been set up. I assume it's no more then a few hours walk at most since this island isn't that huge. We should bring ropes and two poles for carrieing loads back or make an impromptu construction. Some dry foods and water. Don't need the bedrolls I think. We won't take more then a breather a time untill we're done. Under no circumstances do I wish to be sleeping in those ruins. If need be we pull an all-nighter and rest once we make it back to base. Magister, could you arrange for some maces and hammers? Arrows do little against the restless undead and even Saryns axes might not prove optimal. Also, a pickaxe and crowbar to dislodge rubble and debry. Temple may have suffered some collapses. Also lamp oil and a few torches. We might have to cover our retreat with fire once we have what we came for. Nothing to fancy, an hour should be more then plenty to get ready."

Dangerous? How?
"The less I know the better. I'm more of a mountain person, I've never gone in ancient ruins, especially not underground some."
"Irostine, my friend, you simply have not lived until you have delved into ancient ruins!" Whistle says with a wink and a smirk.

Irostine smirks back while rubbing his chin: "If you say so! Hopefully the not living part isn't foreshadowing our expedition!"
I was born underground. No really. I'd rather be underground than all out in the open on an ocean. So what are we after guv'nor?
I don't appreciate being left in the dark on this but i will trust that this venture is in our best interest.

"That seems reasonable to me." Whistle turns to the rest of the group. "So who here knows how to remove curses?"
