I'd encourage you to take some time for character interaction, rather than just waiting for the fight to resolve itself. You did just pull off quite an incredible stunt with getting the Redbrands drunk - does your character have anything to say about that? If you want to have more of a look around the rooms where you are, you absolutely can do that too.
Incantis, two skeletons have an axe and a sword, but have bows strapped to their backs. The third has a bow, but a shortsword hangs from the armour where its waist would be.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dario jumps back at the sight of the skeletons rising from their positions. He looks over at Incantis and says, "maybe it's best if we exit this room as fast as possible my good friend!"He then notches and arrow into his bow and gets ready for the worse.

Initiative: Round One
Group A: Skeleton One
Group B: Incantis and Dario, in any order.
Group C: Skeleton Two and Skeleton Three
Skeleton One carries what was once a longsword but is now only half its original length. It shambles towards Incantis, its mouth moving as though speaking, or maybe growling, but there's no sound, only the dull clatter of the bone feet on the dusty floor. It reaches you (D2), and makes a single attack with its weapon.
Attack: 22 Damage: 8
The jagged end of the sword, where the other half of the blade has been snapped off, pierces your side Incantis, and as the skeleton withdraws it there is a gush of blood from the wound.
“Arghhh!” Incantis grunts in pain. He pulls a dagger out of his robes and hexes S1, cursing its wisdom, and fills its undead consciousness with dissonant whispers.
DC 13 WIS @ disadvantage: 5 + 5 psychic damage, and it must run away.
Skeleton One seems to start shaking as the whispers seem to take hold. It attempts to run towards the north wall of the room, but you slash at it with your dagger, and a burst of necrotic damage spreads around it like a cloud of poisonous gas. The skeleton shatters, the bones falling to the ground with a series of dull thumps in the dust.
Skeleton One is gone instantly. Incantis backs away to E6. Dario is up next.
Hex gives disadvantage on ability checks, not saves I'm afraid. It deals damage when you attack, so the Opportunity Attack triggers the Hex damage, but the dissonant whispers doesn't.
Dario watches in horror as the skeleton slices into Incantisand draws blood. His hunting skills kicks in and as he raises his long bow at, skeleton 1 and focuses hunter's mark on the creature. "May you rot in the rings of hell,"he mutters and let's go on his arrow.
Dario, you are about to launch an arrow towards Skeleton One when you see Incantis bring it down in moments. You switch and target Skeleton Two instead. The arrow seems to hit a sweet spot in the skeleton's frame - it knocks one bone clean out, and the rest of the skeleton collapses onto the floor - another one-shot kill.
Skeleton Three takes aim with its shortbow and fires an arrow at Dario:
Attack: 21 Damage: 7
The arrow hits a leg and sticks in. It's extremely painful but you can still move.
Dario buckles as the arrow hits his left leg, but manages to stay up. He winces in pain and then, while he quickly notches another arrow into his long bow he moves his hunter's mark onto skeleton three. He aims and fires away.
Dario, your arrow seems to hit Skeleton Three in exactly the same way as you hit Skeleton Two. The bone flies out, the rest seems on the verge of collapsing, but somehow, it just barely seems to hold onto itself. Its mouth opens and it seems as though it is growling or moaning, but again, no sound comes out at all.
Incantis is up next. The only remaining enemy is Skeleton Three, which has not moved.
Thanks for the heads up about hex, it looks like there is indeed a difference between saving throws and ability checks. For my future reference, what sorts of things constitute ability checks?

Cragmyre Ironseed, earth genasi ancestral barbarian 3 ● Cyrus Natriallae, aquatic half-elf warlock of the deep 3
Incantis, your Eldritch Blast hits the remaining skeleton with such force that some of the bones turn into a cloud of dust that lingers in the air for a moment.
Dario and Incantis, you made extremely short work of these undead - combat is now over. As silence comes over the crypt, you do suddenly hear a noise - coming from the door on the east side of the north part of the room. It sounds as though someone is locking the door, and then immediately, you seem to hear a bar being dropped in place.
What would you like to do?
An ability check is when you attempt to do something, rather than reacting and trying to save against someone else's actions. An example would be an enemy that attempts to grapple you and would therefore need to make an athletics check. You could use Hex to give disadvantage on Strength checks, which would affect the enemy's athletics check.

Dario reaches to the arrow sticking out of his and snaps the arrow, leaving only a small portion of the arrow in his leg. He tosses the other end of the arrow and then limps over to the dead skeletons. He looks to see if he can use any of the arrows the skeletons had on them and searches them as well for any other things of interest. As he searches he looks to Incantis and says, "did you hear that?"

Dario, the skeletons each have a shortbow, functional but in poor condition. You are able to recover half your arrows as usual, and you also find a total of 11 arrows that the skeletons held. Do you also search the sarcophagi?
Dario, the sarcophagi mostly contain dust, as the corpses that were previously inside seem to have been your enemies in this battle. In the one belonging to the sword-wielding skeleton, you find a signet ring made of platinum; you estimate it is worth a fair amount, but don't know for sure.
No need to roll again, no.

With a start, Incantis shouts into Dario's mind, his telepathic voices swelling in fear. Eyes aloft and eyes abound, undead enemies we have found!

Are the depictions on the map accurate as far as the weapons they're holding? 1 sword, 2 axe, 3 bow?
