Scupper fires an arrow at the bandit engaged behind Dekhan (moving to within 30 fr for the sneak attack)
Attack: 9 Damage: 8
Sneak attack damage 5
He calls out to Dekhan:
I've got the one behind ye! Manage yer forecastle!
(By giving Dekhan knowledge of the enemy behind him and letting him know that's my target, I'm hoping to give mastermind advantage to Dek for his next attack as he concentrates on enemies in front of him)
((Back from workload again...shouldn't come up gain for a while. Thanks for rolling initiative Steve...apologies. Great timing though))
Seeing Strix run into trouble through Zhudala's eyes, Incantis snaps back into his body, running up next to Scupper. Peering into the cave and twisting the wanderer's ring on his finger, the half-elf mutters an incantation under his breath and casts crown of madness ((DC 15 WIS)) on the bandit he can see furthest in. Contacting Dekhan's mind, the paladin hears a swell of cosmic song in his head as Incantis gives him bardic inspiration.
Zhudala, still invisible and in raven form, perches on the lip of the cave mouth and calls out in crude mimicry to the bandits in front of Dekhan to help him with his next attack. "Wait! Behind us!"
The bandit takes an arrow to the knee and staggers, but he's still up. (Yes, Scupper's able to give Dekhan advantage here.)
Bandit's WIS save: 2
The magical crown appears on his head and his eyes seem to glow; the other bandits don't see this yet, so they don't react. (This is the one at F7, as you can't really see the one at F6).
(As Scupper has already given Dekhan advantage, we'll say that Zhudala helps Strix instead.)
Strix is up - and he might prone after that dive, I wasn't sure - and has advantage on an attack if he wishes.

Dekhan grits his teeth, ignoring the pain burning in his side, and swings talon at J6 Attack: 17 Damage: 11 ((forgot advantage so 23 )) if that hits he’ll add a divine smite 14 he’ll follow up with another swing Attack: 24 Damage: 10 And again let the divine energy flow through him into his blade 6
Bandit 7 parries the first attack and grin as he does so. The second attack, however, kills him outright, your blade through his heart.
Bandit 8 swears, and looks for a place to move to gain some advantage, but seeing none, he nods to Bandit 9 who moves to flank Dekhan, the most serious damage dealer so far (aside from Varinth). They are confident fighting together, and make their attacks upon the paladin:

Bandit 5 continues to follow instructions, and fires upon Varinth:
Attack: 21 Damage: 7
Though the sorcerer's magical shield has disappeared, it's a terrible shot. The bandit is barely paying attention, his eyes focused on his crown-wearing partner and the confusion and madness in his eyes. He moves out towards the battle, and away from his friend.
The remaining bandit steps out from the shadows, raises his hand, and a very familiar little ball of orange flame speeds across the battlefield. Scupper, Varinth, and Incantis need to make DEX saves, DC 13, or take 26 damage, 14 if you save.
Your fire resistance means you take half damage from fire. In other words, if Varinth fails on the DEX save, he takes 14 damage, and if he succeeds he takes 7 damage.
The Absorb Elements doesn't really add anything much in terms of reducing damage - Varinth already has fire resistance, and two fire resistances don't stack. The only actual effect will be to add fire damage to a future melee attack.
Two more bandits come out, looking a little more hesitant, but at the other's command they draw light crossbows and both shoot towards Varinth:

Attack: 14 Damage: 7
Attack: 12 Damage: 3
(Both hit, unless you're Shielding?)
You see one final bandit poke his head around the corner and then back out of view, but he makes no attack.
Scupper, Incantis, Strix and Zhudala are up.
(Soodi and Luskain are back aways, unless you wanted them to come with you. Which Luskain would do, of course. Soodi maybe not.)

Cragmyre Ironseed, earth genasi ancestral barbarian 3 ● Cyrus Natriallae, aquatic half-elf warlock of the deep 3
((Zhudala's next to Incantis on the map but I figure she started closer to Strix based on the setup, is that fair?))

(So sorry I somehow missed all this kicking off)
Varinth uses Shield and the first bolt makes a loud TING as it bounces off an invisible barrier.
He starts to smile just as the second bolt lodges squarely in his shoulder.
Shit Vaz says as stares at the protruding projectile.
(Shield should protect you from both bolts, I think.)
Yeah but it's funnier this way :D
((So the one surrounded by their allies? perfect :D))

(OOC : I'm assuming Prone if the fireball missed him. Now I only have 25ft movement left - whatever will I do :D )
Strix arches back and springs to his feet, twirls his staff and starts out laying in to L8 like a frustrated maid at a dirty carpet.
Attack: 10 Damage: 8
Extra Attack: 26 Damage: 17
(OOC : Note - If L8 goes down to the 1st hit, and I7 is hit, spend 1 Ki to attempt a Stunning Strike on I7 (Con save - DC 14) and move back to K8
If L8 is still up, I'll take a Flurry of Blows on them for 1 ki and stay put)
Feet of Flurry 8 Damage: 4
Feet of Flurry 17 Damage: 6
Strix, Shifter Shadow Monk in Lost Mines of Phandelver ¦ Sihegiall Human Soulknife Rogue in In Search of Molly McGuffin
Bandit 7 (at L8) is looking really bad after Strix's attack, but he's still up.
Round Two:
Varinth and Dekhan
Bandits 7, 8 and 9 (stronger looking)
Other Bandits
Scupper, Strix, Incantis and Zhudala
Varinth and Dekhan are up. Incantis, please also let me know who Bandit 6 (with the crown of madness) will attack.
Varinth takes aim at J6 with his good arm
Ftumch!
Fire Bolt Attack: 18 Damage: 9
Wild Check for the Fireball before: 15
If Incantis doesn't have sight on F6 then the bandit in G7 makes most sense.
Incantis, half-elf warlock (great old one) 4/bard 1 ● Thorok Earthhand, hill dwarf mountain druid 6/grave cleric 2
Cragmyre Ironseed, earth genasi ancestral barbarian 3 ● Cyrus Natriallae, aquatic half-elf warlock of the deep 3
Varinth, that's a miss - the bolt of fire smashes harmlessly into the rocks behind him.
Dekhan is up.

Attack: 21 Damage: 5
Attack: 22 Damage: 5
Attack: 25 Damage: 7
Only one attack connects. Bandit 9 growls: Meeker!
Attack: 23 Damage: 9
Attack: 17 Damage: 8
Attack: 23 Damage: 6
The scimitar slices left side, then right side. Dekhan has taken some damage now.
Bandit 6 makes an attack on the unseen bandit, still holding his crossbow in one hand, but now a scimitar in the other:
Attack: 23 Damage: 8
It seems to do a decent chunk of damage, but you can't really see the outcome.
Bandit 5 continues to follow instructions, and fires upon Varinth:

Attack: 21 Damage: 7

Scupper, Strix, Zhudala and Incantis are up.
Varinth will [Tooltip Not Found] with Absorb Elements at third level 12 for fire.
Also how does my Fire Resistance work? And can I get in front of Scupper and Incantis?
Your fire resistance means you take half damage from fire. In other words, if Varinth fails on the DEX save, he takes 14 damage, and if he succeeds he takes 7 damage.
