You leave Rok as he makes his way, rather shakily, through the Docks. He is very obliging and gives you careful instructions on how to reach Tarnished Silver Alley, not too far from where your floating slum is moored.
You stand before the two-storey building that Rok described. Like the one Zhudala observed elsewhere, it gives the impression of being abandoned and unused. The door is ajar and the interior does not smell pleasant; the windows are boarded up, though the boards are falling off. A few people eye you curiously as you regard the building, but there are not many people about on this quiet street in the middle of the morning.

Dekhan will try to surreptitiously get a look through the open door or one of the less boarded windows before making the decision on how to proceed. Perception4
It's a bit dark inside; you notice some broken furniture and a rat skitters past, but nothing catches Dekhan's eye. This front door opens into a single main room, and a door leads to the back of the house.
Right then, Rok. This the place? You lot go underground or live in this filth on the first and second floor?
Answer true...
Then skitter on out of town. We'll take it from here. You're a lucky lad to be recently retired and not inside this place when we clean house. Not many as get a reprieve sides you tonight. Say a prayer for your soon to be fallen comrades and make like a rabbit.
Strix, you see no sign of a trap - it's obvious that the door and frame are in no position to support any such device. You push the door and enter. The front room is as described above; empty, filthy, and with a single door leading on into the rest of the building.
If you want to search the room, make an Investigation check.
I assume others are following Strix? If you are also trying to be quiet, make your own Stealth check.
"If I recall from the other hideout,"Incantis replies, "Roc is truthful about the basement. Zhudala investigated it out of sight; no wonder she couldn't gain entry if the passcode's a face."Before Roc goes, Incantis asks, "Is it any face, or that of members?" He then follows the group into the building.

Scupper hears some of the noise being made and decides to take up watch at the door. Bow at the ready looking for either a flanking attack or waiting to hear all hell break out inside.
You make a reasonably decent job of entering the building quietly, and you push through the internal door into the back of the house. It leads to a back room which has a kitchen - or the remains of a kitchen - and sturdy wooden stairs leading down to the basement and up to the first floor. So far, you don't hear anything other than the sounds of your own movements. There is a back door, or rather a frame where a back door would hang - it's just a hole, and the door itself you do not see.
Opting for telepathy for silence, Incantis contacts his allies. "So according to Roc, the hideout is in the basement; we have either to find the hidden door, or disguise ourselves as a forsaken. Zhudala had failed to find the door in the other hideout, but maybe 'twas because she didn't know to look for it. All the same, do we have any magical means of disguise?"Incantis pauses ruminantly, thinking of the potential for new magics to learn, and wondering if an illusion would do the trick.

Ten minutes pass (you can continue the conversation if you wish). At the end of Incantis' ritual casting, the spell works. Incantis, you sense illusion magic coming from the basement - though you are not close enough to see it around any specific object or location.
Ten minutes passing means Scupper has maneuvered to the top of the basement stairs (kitchen right?) and is again ready with bow and keeping on eye on the kitchen back doorway...sticking to shadows.

After asking Rok for directions we leave our Luxury Yacht and head to the hideout in the docks, since it's closer.

Underground, Rok says. They see your face, see. Then they let you in.
He is nervous, but he nods at your words and leaves. (He's not with you at the house.)
The empty abandoned house stands before you, unmoving, almost beckoning you to enter... :)
Strix, almost as if on cue, checks the door and frame for any obvious alarms or traps, then attempts to steal inside.

Members, Rok says. I don't know how you would get through without... Magic, maybe? Or just force the door? There's a door, though it's hard to see.

Telepathy back - didn't one of you see "sturdy wooden stairs leading down to the basement"?
As the group deliberates, Incantis begins ritual casting detect magic.
