Incantis rushes forward, checking the pulses of all the bandit teens, helping Stix hide the bodies before returning. "This is a twist, and most twisted...I...Dekhan, you killed these boys on my info, don't torture yourself. It seems we might have an opportunity to get these two protostars out while serving our own investigation."

(So the bandits were perhaps ages 17-20. They would be considered adults in this society, legally speaking. It's up to your characters whether you feel their relative youth is a factor, I don't want to force that on you.)
Well evidently we made quick work o' these bastards. One can only hope they were in fact bandits and not mercenaries in the wrong place at the wrong time. Seein' as how we jest mopped the floor wit em before they had a chance to move, we should move out o' here quickly afore we caught in the act of righteous murder...which is still you know...murder.
Scupper will do his best to watch the alley for signs of the watch but suggests Zhudalia also keep an eye from the sky. He still smiles at his mates. The violence having got the adrenaline up.
"It'd be different if we'd say tried to arrest em first or shouted something in warning and they responded in violence but we pretty much bushwacked em the same as any pirate or bandit and killed em afore they could cry fer mercy. Damn fine work of it too."
Strix peeks out of his shadowy hiding place. When no flaming death rains down, he helps strip the dead and drag the bodies as far out of sight as possible and prop the unconscious up while they come up with a plan. As a tester, he sits beside them and throws one of their arms over his shoulder, then mimes drinking from his health potion bottle and sharing with his passed out friend to see how authentically drunk they both look.
Scuppers words disturb him. It was over fast and it did not appear to be a ruse or trap. That fight was not fair, and Tempus sees all. He would be paying for this later.
Incantis silently praised the stars for the group's good fortune, empathizing with Dekhan's grief but thankful the group got such a good jump. Us or them...The half-elf quickly aids Strix and Scupper in hiding the two bodies and appraises Strix' performance. "Vaz seems mighty equipped for this ruse, let's get these two to cover before our next move." Zhudala! The skies!
Dekhan gives Incantis a grim smile Thank you, my friend, for trying to take the blame. While the majority of it falls on the bandits who brought them to this I will bear my part as well. You have the right of it, Scupper, in my rage I did not offer them any quarter, neither will I their employer.
You have managed to stow the dead and unconscious bodies safely. Incantis, you are able to wear the armour you have taken from the dead man's body, but Varinth, you find that you are struggling to make it work.
(OOC: Player's Handbook: "If you wear armor that you lack proficiency with, you have disadvantage on any ability check, saving throw, or attack roll that involves Strength or Dexterity, and you can't cast spells." Does Varinth still put the armour on? There's really nothing else that distinguishes the men as belonging to a gang, and even the armour really only marks them as mercs or guards, as far as you can see.)
Zhudala sees scenes of city life, people walking here and there, doing business, talking, working. Is she looking for anything in particular?
Are you going to hide in the shadows or in disguise and wait?
Scupper would help anyone with their disguise checks, offering advice on making things look more natural, offensive and intimidating...giving advantage.
Zhudalia should be checking for signs o' more mercs, or signs o' the watch if they're heading this way. The mercs were waiting here fer sometin. The watch prolly woulda been here, if they knew what happened, but jest in case...keep an eye out
She doesn't see any signs of mercs or the Watch, at least not yet.
Scupper, you are able to find a path to the roof without any problem as you are not under time pressure.
If anyone would like to roll a Stealth check to hide or use a disguise kit, one person can roll with advantage from Scupper.
So, Dekhan is hiding in the shadows, Scupper is hiding and watching from the roof, Incantis is disguised as a gang member. What's Strix doing? Is Varinth going to wear the armour and take the penalties, or try something else?

"Hmmm. Easy. Dead end. Trap? Trap. Hide? Hide. Deffy hide."
Strix ponders aloud, willing the shadows to swallow them while he finds a corner to secret himself.

Strix, you manage to hide yourself in a dark corner; the two dead bodies are definitely going to draw more attention than you.
The two bandits brought down by Strix are unconscious; they will wake naturally in a few hours, but magical healing can revive them.
Dekhan says grimly if If we hide the bodies, Scupper or Incantis, could you make some of us pass for these poor wretches?
