(Strix wouldn't pass up a chance to use the aul' manacles! They weren't cheap. Personally I'd have hog-tied them to a radiator but that's easy to say *after* you see the perception roll :D Gagged and manacled I suppose. Since no one else rolled, yeah I guess that's 1st watch *gulp*)
Scupper, you return about the same time as Strix is handing over to Dekhan. You are all crowded into a relatively small room, and even Varinth is at this point being helped up to his bed by a member of staff.
Dekhan, you are about an hour into your watch when you hear your prisoner speak in a low voice that does not seem to wake your comrades. So. You gonna kill me then?
Dekhan considers the man for a moment ((What does he look like?)) Death is... He sighs and looks away Although I've become all to familiar with it these past months I still prefer to avoid it if at all possible. My old teacher used to say "It's a permanent solution to a temporary problem." Having said that, It's not entirely up to me, your fate depends on what you tell us and what is in your heart. I tell you now, in the morning we will ensure that you are telling the truth through magical means, you won't be able to deceive us. You should be happy, before I developed this skill we had to rely on Scupper's methods for getting the truth and they are messier and more permanent. If you tell us what we need to know and we deem that you are no longer a threat to the people of Waterdeep, you have my word that you will leave with your life.
Why should I believe you? the man says sullenly. You keep company with them others. I seen that halfling. Looks like he'd rip the flesh off you and laugh as he did it. I don't got many options, I know. I want you to swear to me, swear to me that you'll do as you say, and let me go - get out of the city - if I tell you the truth.
Depending on how you respond, please also roll a persuasion, deception or intimidation check as appropriate. Assuming you do with to respond that is.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dekhan mulls the man's words for a moment. I swear to you, by the Light, that if you tell us what we need to know and make it clear that you do not pose a danger to the people of Waterdeep and beyond, that no harm will befall you by our hands. Persuasion15
Scupper marches up the stairs and into the room catching the tail end of Dekhan's oath.
"Well it looks like we're all making nice and friendly like. Time to go though. I've arranged for better quarters in case word has travelled and our location is burned...so to speak. I guess your oath, Dekhan means we take him all in one piece for now. Shame that. He'd be much lighter without legs. Less likely to run too. Well, however we go, we best go. Cover o' night and all that."
He'll start kicking party member's beds or nudging them with his boot.
"Right lads! Moving day! Let's get this bastard somewhere safe afore the watch hears we're doing our own interrogations."
Scupper puts the gag back over the prisoners mouth and throws a sack over his head. Nodding at the prisoner...
Dekhan stands and stretches. Alright, I think we can trust that this man won't make any trouble. I've explained the situation to him and he knows his best way of making it out of this is to cooperate.
Incantis is about to rouse naturally for his watch when his bed is kicked and his fitful dreams dissipate. "You don't waste time..."He gets up stiffly, checking his wounds. "I'll go down the stairs, out the window with the captive I say."He prepares to walk down and out of the tavern to below the window, ready to help catch.

You didn't specify, but I'm guess that's first watch?

How exactly is the prisoner restrained? Manacles? Rope? Both?

Manacles it is.
Strix, you notice nothing during first watch. Nothing at all. Prisoner is still there, chained to the wall (no radiator, sorry).
Who's up for second watch?
Dekhan will take second watch Perception 21

He looks at you sullenly, and nods, but says nothing more.
Your watch comes to an end. Incantis, please give me a Perception check.

"Out the window or down the stairs?"
You all wake to the kicks of a halfling. It's past midnight, perhaps one or two in the morning.
Dekhan stands and stretches. Alright, I think we can trust that this man won't make any trouble. I've explained the situation to him and he knows his best way of making it out of this is to cooperate.
So then you want te walk him out. Probably take the bag off then til we're more on our way.
Scupper removes the bag and gives him a wicked grin.
Mornin' sunshine
The man blinks and looks sullenly at Scupper, but says nothing. He looks defeated rather than defiant.
Strix barely has time to roll into bed before rolling out the other side.

But his monk skills make him extremely graceful as he does so.

Varinth was poured into the room an hour before Scuppers arrival. His snoring is epic and unfiltered. The halflings boot does nothing to rouse him.
