Dario, your arrow hits Redbrand 5 in his chest, and he looks stunned and falters for a moment, before finding his strength. He looks badly wounded, but still up and fighting.
Incantis, you watch as Dario darts ahead of you, but you remain in place as you weave your magic. Though you can't see it, you feel the Redbrand flinch as he feels, on some instinctive level, the hex form around him. And then the bolt of eldritch energy hits him in the back and he staggers and drops to one knee, before rising shakily and turning with an expression of real fear on his face. You can see that you very nearly killed him outright, and it won't take much to finish him off.
Dekhan, as your sword connects, you feel the increasingly familiar ancient power flowing through you, and the Redbrand cries out in shock and pain at the surge of holy magic that goes through his body. He's now very badly hurt.
Group Three are up; that's Vaz, Scupper and Strix in any order.
Scupper, please make a death saving throw. (If either Vaz or Strix manage to heal you, we'll retcon that and you'll get your full turn if you're conscious.)
Dekhan, Divine Smite is 2d8 when you're using a first level spell slot; it will rise to 3d8 when you have second level spells. I've taken your first two rolls, 8 and 2, to make 10 extra damage.
Strix, as Dario's arrow hits, Redbrand 5 stumbles and unfortunately this allows him to dodge your blow. He looks past you at Dario and the others around him, and then looks back to you; you can see the realisation cross his face of how much trouble he's in.
That's when your second blow connects, right to the throat, crushing his windpipe. He seems to gurgle, or at least make the sound very briefly, and collapses onto the ground.
Noted your movement, Incantis, thanks; you're now next to Dario. I'll extend the map next round to include you.
Seeing Scupper go down Varinth feels his burning core flare. Steams drifts up from his body. He shifts his stance. He then cocks an imaginary crossbow and points at Redbrand 2. He shouts;
Varinth's Fire Bolt goes unfortunately wide, and does not connect. More fortunately, it doesn't hit anything else, so at least the town isn't burning down. Yet.
Vaz, are you also moving closer to the battle, or staying where you are?
Interaction : Still holding the windpipe - though the throat, host body and supporting tissue has fallen away - Strix calls "It would seem the light has abandoned you, Red-backs. Come join me in this deep deep dark.
Movement : 20ft south, should keep me ahead of the Luck Templers but force the redbrands to choose between me and Dekhan
Internal: seems like things are moving awful slow. Those feckin' bastards'll reach me sooner than later and 'll givem whatfor. Shoulda heeded my warning. Now they've got a whole face full a Scupper to deal wit. Repel boarders! Strike the colors! Raise the skull and bones! Give no quarter! ...
Redbrand 1, though struggling to stay up, clearly still thinks the fight can be won. He moves down to make his two attacks on Dekhan (not at disadvantage any more):
Attack: 7 Damage: 7
Attack: 14 Damage: 4
The first attack glance off Dekhan's shield, but moves it just out of position enough for the second thrust to get through; Redbrand 1 growls to the others. Now finish him off.
Redbrand 2 makes his own attacks on Dekhan:
Attack: 17 Damage: 5 Hits, but not a strong blow, and Dekhan seems to shrug it off.
Attack: 18 Damage: 6 Misses
Redbrand 3 follows:
Attack: 23 Damage: 3. This hits hard, and Dekhan is starting to look pretty beat up.
Attack: 21 Damage: 3; misses.
Redbrand 4 turns and sees Strix coming, and the unmoving body of Redbrand 5 behind him. Shit, shit, look! he cries, alerting the others and moving to intercept Strix; the Redbrands are finally aware that they might be in trouble.
Redbrand 4, as he reaches Strix, makes two thrusting attacks with his shortsword:
Attack: 5 Damage: 3
Attack: 23 Damage: 7
Only the second one hits, drawing a spurt of blood from Strix's upper arm as it slashes down.
Incantis glides gracefully towards the battle, using his full movement to move forward 5 feet then diagonally down the road (I5).
Stars below, curse their fates...Incantis’ hex moves to Red 1, and he feels his wisdom hampered as Zhudun’s influence settles over his mind. He hears, twisting through his mind, the dissonant whispers and cries of the long forgotten damned.
On a failed save (Wis 13 @ disadv): 13 psychic + 4 necrotic damage and must run directly away from Incantis.
Had to retcon the movement to the start on my turn to get in range.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dario quickly notches another arrow into his long bow and runs further into the battle (7F). Seeing Strix take down Red 5 he moves his hunter's mark onto Red 3, hoping to give Dekhan some assistance and fires his long bow at Red 3.
Soooooo I just realized for some reason my shield had been unequipped on my character sheet... my ac should be 18, if we could retcon that it would be quite dope, if not I understand, Dekhan will learn a lesson about shield safety.
Dekhan considers using Bless, but his friends are too far away, he looks down at Scupper and weighs healing him but the three armed men standing in front of him maintain his attention, he can't help his friend if he is dead. Dekhan lays a hand against his chest and heals himself for 10pts.

OCC: I imagine Dekhan fighting this whole time and suddenly is like "What the? My shield on on my back???? For ****'s sake?"

Feeling his blow is going to connect Dekhan channels the light within him and the rage he feels at seeing his friend hurt to divine smite red 2 18

OCC: I think Divine smite is a straight 2d8...so an 18 doesn't seem right. I'm on mobile, so I can't see exactly what you rolled.

Varinth:
Seeing Scupper go down Varinth feels his burning core flare. Steams drifts up from his body. He shifts his stance. He then cocks an imaginary crossbow and points at Redbrand 2. He shouts;
HEY FARTBLOSSOM! CATCH!... THOOM!

My bad, guys!
Sorry, yes. After shooting the firebolt Vaz will run toward the melee screaming. 30ft
