Incantis, in a fit on fancy very uncharacteristic of his normally sober self, jumps down from the table and snatches a smoldering pipe from one of the Redbrands. He performs a series of puffs of intricately colored and interwoven smoke rings, trying to get their changing colors to sync up with the (admittedly intoxicated) rhythm of Strix and Vaz to form vague medieval strobe lights.

Cragmyre Ironseed, earth genasi ancestral barbarian 3 ● Cyrus Natriallae, aquatic half-elf warlock of the deep 3
Smoking's not really a thing in the Sword Coast, so I don't think the Redbrands would have a pipe, but you can probably manage something through a combination of minor illusion and the smoke from the fireplace.
I was sorta implying the use of minor illusion but smoke from the fireplace is fine. All I'm really gunning for is the light effect to compliment the singing & dancing

Yep, and it's definitely working. The Redbrands are too drunk to be alarmed, and are finding the coloured lights fascinating. (If you'd tried that earlier, they might have reacted quite negatively.)

Ahhh, men after my own heart
Do I roll anything, or was this just to give advantage?

Is it possible to get a rough layout of the Sleeping Giant?
Zoria blushes when she realizes Vaz has called her pretty, but the blushing soon leaves as she remembers he is quite the drunk and his words in this state probably hold no weight.
Just curious, does a centaur take up more room on a map? Also Squigs, did you have idea of what breed of horse Zorias lower half is? I was thinking Clydesdale as I love a fluffy hoof... okay that sounded weird... I just meant it's cool to draw...
The Sleeping Giant is a small drinking hole; a rectangular room with Grista's bar at the far, narrow end. There are two square tables on the right, and three crammed into the left side of the room, with four chairs around each table. There's a door to a back room behind the bar, and opposite that, the door to the street. The ceiling is low and the windows small and dirty. The tables have been wiped of the worst muck, but probably not properly cleaned in a long while. It's still light outside, but you're getting close to sunset now.

I've been using a two-square rectangle for Soodi, but a standard one-square token for Zoria. Centaurs are a bit smaller than camels, and also smaller than a horse and human rider would be. They're considered 'medium' creatures, not large.

Centaurs in the Monster Manual are Large, but the Centaur race is Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica are Medium, so I take no more room up than any of you, on a map that is. Think of it as from front of body to the tail, is no larger than 5 feet.
And I'm cool with Clydesdale. I actually hadn't thought too much about the actual breed of horse, so Clydesdale works, I like the fluffy hoof too lol. Zoria's body fur is slightly darker than her hair.
Sorry, I got us off track with talk of fluffy hooves. What does Miss Grendel (I've forgotten her name already) say about runners? I know it's doubtful in this small town but I want talk to get around too (to?) the Getting of Mates...
Varinth, as you ask Grista your question about runners she looks confused, seeming not to understand, then apparently decides just to ignore you and continues washing tankards ready for the next round of drinks.
Dekhan finishes his ale and slams the tankard down on the bar. HAAA HA! There's the old pepper! I'll tell you boys something, I like you! Here, how's this? Repeat after me!
I slit the sheet
the sheet i slit
and on the slitted sheet I sit.
If this one goes over well and the Redbrands find it funny, Dekhan will follow up with:
I'm a mother pheasant plucker
I pluck mother pheasants
I'm the best mother pheasant plucker who ever plucked a mother pheasent.
I make that 14, with +3 for Deception, is that right?
Redbrand 2 tries to return to his previous thought: Needs more... more... people. Guards he adds, clumsily holding up his filthy red cloak to underline his point.
Redbrand 1 clearly agrees. Yeah. Right. You go... get Lanker. And Willif... and... he trails off, then sits down hard, spilling some of his ale; the spilling ale catches his attention and he stares at his tankard for a moment, then takes another big swig.
Redbrand 2 answers Yep, and pretty much charges out of the door, half-empty tankard in hand. Dario, you now notice one of the Redbrands leave the Sleeping Giant alone, marching rapidly and enthusiastically, though not entirely steadily, back up the path towards the manor ruins.
Since the dancing is going well, Strix breaks into a frantic running man while croaking
Dance and fight, sing all night, drink till long rest due!
Sail the seas , gale or breeze, cap'n Scupper's crew!
Left uthgardt home, was forced roam
Far and wide walked land
But found peace, twixt maiden knees
Ale and sword in hand
Swabbin decks, looting wrecks, merchants all pay due.
Ransom, slaughter, smooch with daughter, captain Scupper's crew!
Jazz hands.
Strix, Shifter Shadow Monk in Lost Mines of Phandelver ¦ Sihegiall Human Soulknife Rogue in In Search of Molly McGuffin
Again! shouts Redbrand 2. The two Redbrands seem like they want to join in; they seem completely relaxed and enjoying themselves.
Scupper, please make your Deception check at advantage.

All of this is working to give Scupper advantage, and to lower (or raise) the DC of the check.
