Basiel looks gratefully at Erika and says, "Yes, please do. It's fortunate for all of us that you are. That is a well-hidden entrance, and I would not be surprised if there were a few well-hidden traps set for trespassers."
Carefully treading towards the entrance, alert for any sound or sight that could trigger something. ((Also looking for how to open the door so the party can get in))
Mugs shares what shes *********************** Following Erika off of the boat she keeps a 20ft distance in case any traps are sprung. "I don't have a preference in how long we wait until we make whatever choice we make." She states calling back to everyone debating the decision.
Erika searches the entrance to the cave. A canvas sheet, painted to resemble the rocks around it, covers a narrow crack of an opening. It is tied in place at the top and bottom so that the wind doesn't lift it and expose the hiding spot. There don't seem to be any traps around the area. ((I'll update the Google Folder with a map to help visualize it. Those things on the right side of the map are rocks)).
((Don't worry about it! Seems to be going around just now :) ))
As the group discuss when they should approach Filli has a look around as the light of the day begins to fade. Following with the others she adds her thoughts to the discussion and says "While I much prefer the light of day myself and would normally agree with you Dara on this occasion I find myself agreeing with Basiel, cover of darkness could well be our friend this day." Turning to face Erika as studies their approach Filli is getting the impression from her careful observation of the mountain ahead of them that this isn't the first time shes ever tried to sneak into somewhere she says "Do you see anything friend?"
Going back to the group Erika tells them, “Just a tarp covering the entrance. We could go in right now. Not like we’ve done much today, and there will be less people awake at night, besides the drunks and sentries.”
It is dark, cold, and windy night. The silence of the environment is deafening. Once inside, you approach a large open chamber. There are tables and chairs, and half-finished meals on the tables. On the ground are many dead bodies, each of an elf or a human, one of which is even a halfling. They all seem to be pirates of some sort.
The room is lit by torches that line the walls, held in scones. In the center of the room is a spectral blue figure of an elf. He is floating inches above the ground, and seems to be weeping, but no sound comes from his mouth. What do you do?
((If you're trying to sneak around this room, make stealth checks))
Mugs trailing near the back of the party won't be the first one to see the ghost and the carnage. (I'll follow the lead of the people near the front.) (If we Stealth)13

Basiel is following Erika as she navigates the way through the tunnels. He sees the situation over her shoulder as they arrive at the entrance to the room, and quickly signals for the party to stop. He turns and holds a finger to his lips, signalling for the others to remain silent, and then taps Erika's shoulder. He makes hand-motions to her, asking mutely through his body language: "Straight forward or sneak around?"
If the groups decides to sneak, Basiel will try to inspect the corpses from a distance. He is trying to glean any information about how and when the pirates were killed.
Stealth: 8
((Here's a bunch of rolls because I'm not sure which is necessary for his proposed inspection...))
Erika feels Basiel rap her shoulder and signal her, so she’ll attempt to sneak as well. She’ll try to be about 15 feet in front of the group as they do this.
Seeing the bodies of the pirates on the ground Filli tries her best to keep the gasp that attempts to escape her mouth in. Composing herself she ducks down and tries to keep herself hidden while her attention is drawn to the spectral figure of the elf floating. She wracks her head to see if she recalls any form of spirit that the figure might match from her studies at the temple.
((I'll post the link to the Google Folder in the OOC Chat))
@Basiel: you can discern that the people were killed very recently, as they do not yet stink of rotting flesh, and seem healthy enough. If it weren't for the stillness of their chests, they could've been mistaken for sleeping pirates. The spectral figure looks exactly like one of the bodies, of an elf pirate.
@Filli: You remember much from your studies. The spectral figure is a ghost. The soul of a person became a ghost if they had unfinished business back in the world of the living. Only by completing this business could they finally rest.
Upon realising that this figure has been stranded in the material plane in death Filli instantly feels the urge to go and assist the poor soul, pirate or not. Stopping herself as she considers that they have no idea what did this to the pirates she turns to the others and whispers as quietly as possible "That poor soul...something terrible happened to these pirates. Perhaps we can commune with the restless spirit there and find out what did this to him?"
"Seems like he's really friendly." Mugs whispers to Filli motioning towards the dozen dead bodies on the ground. "I don't know if we want to add our corpses to this lovely pile. But I've got your back depending on your decision."

Erika does not stop to talk. She doesn’t **** with ghosts, and will try to get out of this room as quickly as possible. ((Is there another chamber or door or opening we’re heading to? On the way though, as she continues through the room, is there anything on a nearby table that looks expensive or shiny?))

Dara looks around, and thinks deeply before stating,
"It may be wise to wait until next morning, but if we are doing so, we should find a place that could keep us well hidden just in case..."
With that she looks around, watching Erika go towards the cave.

Yeah, friendly, sure
