“Well... the Mirror worries me. And this last book is similar to Elvish, perhaps Sylvan? Best guess: the mirror may be a door, or perhaps a window to talk to something of the fae. I recommend we get the drawer open and see if we can find anything to confirm my theories, which are - admittedly- just guesses without a little more to go on.”
The drawer is easily opened by just pressing against it, and a spring pops it open. Inside is a small silk bag, a stoppered bottle with what looks like white sand, a mold the same size as the crystals and a bottle with enough liquid to fill the mold twice.

Raising an eyebrow she looked around the room, still not seeing overly much without darkvision so not really sure what Andolin was getting at but she trusted her companions to figure it out with her being absolutely useless at this moment. "I don't like this." She murmured. All this magicky stuff was getting her on edge, especially after what happened last night. She did wonder if she remembered anything about this during her studies at the monastary.

Though you have no way to be sure 2 things strike your memory:
Wizards have in the past created creatures of wood or metal, with hinges and animated them to do various tasks. But the body before you has no hinges or joints that you can discern.
You remember an account of an escaped, Netherese slave that the guards used a magical board to open and close doors to cells by placing stones on a map of the complex. The stones, you recall, were made from shrivelled hearts of those that died in great agony
Andolin
Unstopping the bottle and pouring a small amount in your hand, you see it is not sand, but rather small pieces of translucent crystal. You know that in nature, a small piece of crystal can be a seed for a larger piece when exposed to water rich in minerals.
Is there anything in the silk bag or was it just the bottles and the mold?
Opening the silk bag you find it contains eight, dried and ancient seeds that begin to crumble at your touch. You recognize the seeds as belonging to a yew tree.
Can Andolin investigate the dirt shelf further? He will also ask Horus or Seraphina to inspect the amulet closer to see if they can tell it’s function.
(I can’t see a pattern, but can anyone see a relation to the inscription (which looks like a map to me) and the table (which looks like a battleship grid, perhaps the unexploded crystals are in the correct pattern?)?)
Beneath the dirt is a layer of fertile loam, but it appears your first theory is correct, it is simply some type of bed for the wooden man. But something does strike you, it is only 5ft long. Looking at the body again, you realize that if the wooden figure is indeed an elf, it must be the shortest elf you have ever seen.
Mold
The mold, is the same size as the crystals, and on close inspection the mold in encrusted with a thin layer of minerals.
Amulet
Your arcane learning leads you to the conclusion, that the Amulet is definitely a focus for magical energies, even a way of storing and transferring energies. As your finger brushes against the crystal you feel the Amulet react on a magical level, a sort of reaching out to you.
Horus
You have an internal conflict over the Amulet. The little Sylan blood that runs through you, is attracted to the Amulet. That part of you which has been corrupted by exposure to Frenik recoils from it.
Is there any indication of running water any where nearby? A sound or smell of minerals in the air?
I've an idea but im not sure if anyone has shared their findings out loud yet. So Darwin wouldn't know about the crystal dust.
Edit: I know what to do, A Mold for the crystals and enough water to fill it twice along with the crystal dust. Make unexploded crystals and try them on the diagram, replacing them for the exploded ones.
Add the yew seeds into the mold along with a piece of crystal then add the water.
As for what to do after that, Im at a lost. Exploded and unexploded crystals are in both the Table and the diagram but there is only enough water for two crystals.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Darwin takes out a torch and Lights it, stepping into the room and Upto the Diagram. He is going to try to remove the center crystal, the one with the faint blue-green shine. If it remains lit, Darwin will look to the center table to see if there is any responding effect or correlation.

Horus holds out the amulet away from his body. “This has... a lot of potential. But it’s sort of volatile with magic. Would a non-magic user care to hold onto it?”
Andolin takes the amulet back as he explains his findings to the others, Agreeing with Darwin as he speaks up..
”I agree we could make new crystals, and perhaps fill them with the seeds. We would then have seven crystals, including the five here that are unexploded. My thoughts are that this should be laid out in some way similar to the diagram, but I can’t see how to do that, nor do we know what will happen if we are successful. Someone could put this amulet on, and see if they were able to see things differently, but my magic abilities are very limited, and if it is a focus, I’m not sure I would be able to use it effectively.”
Darwin walks up to Andolin, Having to hunch down in this portion of the tree. "Give it here, I have some skill with magic, I dont believe it's the same nature but it doesn't hurt to try." If Andolin does not protest, Darwin will take the amulet and put it on.
((Grasping at Straws here, Im fairly certain we are missing a vital piece of Information with the book we cannot read so we have to try everything.))

The crystals on the "map" are fused to the metal, and can not be removed without breaking the crystal. The same for the crystal in the amulet.
The Yew seeds are too old and brittle to be used in making the seeds, BUT if you were to make crystals with seeds in them you would have enough liquid to fill the mold 4 times.
The Yew tree is currently too sick to have produced seeds in many years.
Hint
Andolin, would know that a tree of the size could not grow so big without magic, and even then would be likely millenia, even ages, old. For it to be this sick, would likely to have taken centuries. Which brings up the body, in such a sterile environment, wood would not rot, but dry out. Like a piece of old driftwood someone keeps in the house as a decoration, the same for the seeds. Whatever you are dealing with happened long, long ago...
