Pulling up the false boulder, you are surprised by the Kobold hiding in the hole, especially at the arrow pointed directly in your face....
"Ustañız, tiri öltiriñiz!! nemese ölesiz!!"
Draconic
Hold, live birther!! Or Die!!
Throwing off disguises 5 more Kobolds rise from hiding places in the rubble.
With a sinking feeling, Andolin and Seraphina turn around to see more figures rising from the field behind them... A quick count reveals there are at least another thirty in the field behind you. Among them, the leader you saw before and an aged Kobold with a staff surmounted with the skull of a creature with a long snout and many sharp teeth.
Andolin curses in Elvish, wishing he had listened to his master’s lessons in Draconic. He whips an arrow from his quiver and draws it back, glancing about frantically for Darwin, cursing again if he doesn’t see him.

Cellica speaks Draconic, she'll raise her eyebrow and cross her arms in front of her chest looking down the kobold who spoke up. "And who pray tell, are you?" she asks without changing her stance.
What does Cell know about Kobolds? (I mean I know enough about Kobolds but does Cell know xD) Would this be History check? 6

Elena Thaylin - Water Genasi Cleric / Life Domain - Kamaryst: The Gathering Storm
Slowly, Sera turned to take another look at the mass of Kobolds behind them. The numbers alone were enough to set her on edge, though the looming threat of death wasn't much better. "What my companion means to say is we mean you no harm" Sera said gently in Draconic whilst raising her hands as well, her gaze settling on the aged Kobold. Given the age and the staff, she assumed he was their best shot at avoiding a fight.

Cell:You haven't encountered them yourself, so you wouldn't know their stat block :) But you would have general knowledge found in MM. They believe themselves to be descended from Dragons, and as such revere dragons as demi-gods. They are not very tough, but they are prolific and can bury foes in shear numbers. They excel at traps, digging and tunneling. They are fiercly tribal, putting the tribe above the individual.
When the tribe notices Sera, an expected angry muttering starts, even as the two leaders approach. The elder muttering to the younger leader to quietly to hear.
In heavily accented common, "Why follow? Why follow hunters, spawn of thief? Follow, but no attack, what desire?" asks the elder.
“We believed we were following thieves- or possibly murderers. After all, those animals looked as though they were someone else’s. That said, perhaps we could be convinced they were yours... in exchange for some information?”
"Theives! Murderers! All the same, I tell you. Kill now."
"Quiet, Ogzank. I tell you they do not know. Not from farms or village." To the party, "Birthers go, three parts of a moon. None return ever after two parts. What is left, we take."
It is then that the moon shines on Darwin, and an awed babble starts from Kobolds. As realization spreads, the Kobolds put down their weapons, get down on their knees and put their faces to the ground... except for the two leaders... they appear stunned, and Ogzank has murder in his eyes.
With a discordant muttering the Kobolds rise shaking in fear.
"Dread Lord, we did not know you claimed the Birthers place and animals. Never would we think to take from the Child of the Dragon. Are these then your servants? Your prisoners?" the old Kobold asks in Draconic.
Cellica's brows shot up "Servants?" she mouthed to Darwin and then looked back at Horus his meek expression and sudden submissive attitude. For a moment Cellica wanted to be the rebel and tell these Kobols she was no ones slave or prisoner but decided against it and kept her mouth shut, sulking all the while. The grip on her staff had tightened ready to still go for the old bashing of heads route...
Can I insight check the leader to see if he's really submissive towards Darwin or just playing waiting for the right moment to attack? xD Insight: 13

(Insight & History) The elder is clearly shocked and frightened of something to do with Darwin. If they truly see Darwin as a child of a dragon, or related closely a dragon (who the see as demi-gods themselves) then it is reasonable they might be willing servitors of Darwin as an indirect link to his "parent" dragon. Ogzank's look, however, is definitely a mix of fear and jealousy.
