Terrance calls back as he carries onward, "Don't think either of us are doing anything but grasping for straws Horus. Only a fool fights an enemy he doesn't know when he doesn't have to." Terrance carries aiming to do a perimeter around the tavern.
Shaking his head, Wren puts away the bow and pulls out his sword, "Nothing here makes any sense. People living yesterday are skeletons today? And why not us? Why are we going through this? Someone has to know something. There has to be a reason we arent undead ourselves."
This 20’ by 20’ room is a bedchamber which features a bed, dresser, chair, and washstand. There is a closet located in the south west corner of the room. Dust lays thick on the floor and furniture. The closet is empty.
Terrence
The fog is thick and lit by the moonlight. The ground is wet and clingy to your boots and every step is an effort. When you turn back to look at the Inn, you realize you can no longer see it. Calling out, you are greeted only with silence.
Common Room
Terrence disappears into the luminescent fog in only a few steps. Calling out to him, you receive no answer...
Darwin
At your touch the acorn begins to glow and you feel the Wild Mother's protection. Before Olena can answer, there is a blinding flash of light from the acorn!!
Your eyes snap open in the real world, and as your spell fades, you know this very place is evil and cursed. Horus and Cellica are only dim, tiny spots of goodness.
Your head though, still suffers from the pain and backlash of the spell and the curse of madness is only a breath away.
OCC: It is like an incapacitating migraine. For the duration, spells and attacks will be at a disadvantage until dawn. Long term, you suffer from terrifying dreams of the undead and must make a Wis saving through when encountering or suffer Fear until cured.
Common Room II & Darwin
Darwin's eyes snap open and he lets out a groan of pain, curling into the fetal position. His hand opens and a burned acorn rolls from his hand and crumbles to dust.
“Darwin! Try to hold it together, buddy. We still need you.” Horus will try to help him up. “The Wildmothercan have you when your work is finished, but not til then, right?”
"I don't understand. The other room was empty as well...I didn't check the closet, but it looked the same as here. Where is everyone? I thought we would find Nezhyti or Olena, or at least some clue as to what's happening.... Let's go back to the others."
Andolin will head back to the Common Room (unless Wren stops him).
Assuming not...
"What's going on here? Darwin, you are back? Where's Terrence?"
Looking about the room, he sees the broken window and puts it together. "Who knows what could happen to him out there?", Andolin says shaking his head and pursing his lips.
"I didn't find much down here. A tattered cloak, spoiled meat, and a lot of dust. What are our options?" He begins to list them out. "We could go out the window with Terrence. We could go back upstairs and see if we can follow that blob. We could see if we are missing anything down here. Any other thoughts?"
Darwin reaches to his waist and Pulls his emblem up close to his face. In Draconic he mutters under his breath. "Thank you Wild Mother, Thank you..."
After which he will slowly stand up, Shaking his head and letting his scales flex and retract. Wobbly at first the near 7 foot Dragonborn looks to Andolin, Horus and Cellica who are all still in the common room. "Their all dead.....everyone of them." He will gather his weapons and shield, There is a noticeable quiver in Darwin's right hand as he grips his battleaxe. "Friends...whatever this is...I fear it may be beyond us, Such horrible Pain and hunger." Darwin will re affix his emblem to his belt and hold his head for a moment.
"This place is Cursed...A Deep evil has taken root, One that toyed with my mind. Showing me visions of my homeland in flames, Visions of you all dead and mangled." Darwin shakes his head once more and look between the three in the Common room. In the time that you have known Darwin you have never seen him scared, yet there is fear in his eyes.
Darwin hadn't realized at the time but The others probably didn't understand him, As he had been Talking in Draconic the entire time. ((I dont know if anyone else besides Darwin knows draconic but it makes sense for him to speak in his native tongue after what just happened to him.))

The moment Darwin regained concsiousness Cellica hurried to him, checking for anything strange except the fear in the Dragonborns eyes. He started ranting in Draconic but luckily Cellica had studied various languages and was proficient in the mothertongue of the dragonborn in front of her. “What do you suggest we do? We can’t find a way out. Terrance leapt out of the window but hasnt reported back yet ...” Cellica says to Darwin in Draconic “we havent encountered other dead creatures just yet so for now we should be in the clear. What happened to you?” Not caring if the others understood or not she kept speaking in Draconic. Cell figured that it would be easier for Darwin to explain that way and she would relay everything to the others later.

Darwin would be a bit surprised by Cellica, she hadnt previously shown the ability to converse in Draconic. "I dont know what happened...I opened my sense's to search for the evil of this place and it overwhelmed me." He looks to the broken window, He'd never fit threw that. "There is a Evil here, It has cursed this place. It knows only pain and hunger, I fear the other patrons may have just been an illusion of sorts. In my visions It showed me Olena with no head on her shoulders."
"A Colourless world, Darkness and death is what it showed me." His head throbbing with pain, Darwin will recall the events he went threw in Detail to Cellica.
"What of the door? have you tried kicking it down?" He Says aloud in Common.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Andolin will watch for a bit as Cellica and Darwin converse in Draconic, then walk away, slightly frustrated that he had not taken his master up on his offer to teach him the language. He will walk over and take a look at the two fireplaces in the common room.
Investigation: 1112
When Darwin ask his question in common, while poking around the fireplaces, Andolin will respond. “No one has tried to get past the locks yet. Terrence, it seems, has smashed and climbed out a window, then disappeared into the mist.”
“I’m afraid whatever’s doing this won’t let us leave. This may not even be real itself. We should pethaps go back up and try to find a way to stop this by confronting the orb. But be cautious...I suspect Darwin’s condition was tied to his slaying of those two undead.”
Darwin would not want to leave Terrance stranded. Unable to fit threw the broken window because of not only his size but his armor as well. Darwin would lean out it and yell for Terrance. "TERRANCE! WHERE ARE YOU MY FRIEND?!?"
If he doesnt get a response within a minute or so, Darwin is going to start banging his battle axe against his shield. Making as much noise as possible, Hopefully something for Terrance to follow.

”Better than fine, really. I think that we might tear this down if we take down the wisp creature.”
Horus readies himself and goes to the steps.
”No one has to come with me. We haven’t really known each other that long. But I’d really appreciate your help.”
And Horus will start up the stairs.
