Vail pours himself another and asks anyone if they’d like another. Without waiting for a response he finishes another and gives a gentle burp. (I’ll pour for anyone who wants more) Tordals beard catches his eye. Is that.... growing? No no, I must be drunk. He plops down on the chair, crosses his arms, and begins muttering to himself about the day and closes his eyes.
Mordan see's Vail start to settle in and says "Sorry my friend but I have sleeping quarters prepared for you" It's not far. He leads you out of the room your in and out of the 'Throne room' and just around the corner to a door. Opening the door is a long hallway with rooms along the left side. There are 8 of them and they are all basically the same. Simple furnishing of just a bed with a table and a candle. "You can rest here. In the morning I'll show you to the passages we found. If you have need of anything you can ask Romgar here" Pointing to the Duergar waiting at the door.
You guys can tell me if you do anything throughout the night, or just rest, if anyone is going to keep watch, etc.
Saada raises her hand for another mug of ale, and upon receiving it whispers "Lah." and waves her hand over it, this time warming up until it begins to steam slightly. (Prestidigitation)
"Hey Estes, we finally got that drink." she smirked before drinking the warm ale.
Saada leans forward, lowering her voice. (in Infernal) "Speaking of which, apparently the duergar have been trading with our kin for decades now. Was that common knowledge and I've been to busy wandering the wilderness to notice, or have certain groups been keeping it under wraps?"
(Saada and Estes. You've not heard of the Duergar being trading partners but it's also not something either of you had any reason to ask about or pay attention to. Saada it's possible your Father would know something about it but again, it's not anything that's come up in conversation so you've never asked him)
(You still wouldn't know more Estes. If you had rolled really high I would have given you something)
The party settles into their rooms. Sinjin requests that he not be disturbed for an hour. "I'm going to summon a familiar so we have a scout for whatever waits below"
Let me know if everyone is taking their own room. If anyone is bunking together. If anyone is keeping watch.
Everyone waking and feeling newly buff and strong are greeted by Mordan as they come out of the quarters. "Good morning. I hope you're all well rested. Vail, I have the chain you requested." Turning to Tauriel "And I brought some for you as well. While your hide is tough for one so young I fear some of the creatures down below will still pierce it. It wouldn't do to have you die down there. There wasn't time to fashion something for you but these were left here from the time of the elves. We were able to make some adjustments so they should fit you both fairly well. It's also much quieter than regular chain." He gives you each mithral armor chain shirt
Tauriel, trying yours on you can see it's been skillfully modified to still leave the bottom of your boobs exposed while it hangs down longer in the sides. (Don't want to mess with the look of the avatar :)
After Vail and Tauriel get the new gear on he leads you to another shaft. Similar to the one you guys came down here in but this one only goes down. There are spikes that have been driven into it to make a sort of spiraling ladder that descends down. Reaching the bottom you find a tunnel blocked by a large, locked and barred, steel door guarded by 2 hefty look Duergar. They both bow slightly to Mordan.
Mordan turns to the party looking grave "If there are any other questions this is the time to ask. Once you go through that door it will not be unlocked again until you return."
"The young and untrained are often impulsive, our apologies."
Vail steps back to gain distance.
”****! Watch that thing.”
he reaches to take Tauriels mug away.
”we’re cutting you off....”

"Whoops! Sorry everyone! This magic stuff is just so cool. I am tired though. Lead the way!"

I'll room with Saada and sleep sitting against the door.
I'll room with Vail, feeling pretty comfortable (and Vail pretty drunk) I just make myself comfortable in a bed.
Saada looks at the bed and notices the bed was made for smaller people, and shrugs. "I've slept in tighter spots..."
OOC: Ready for the next day.
Same
Tauriel finds the smaller dwarf beds rather comfortable and is ready for the next day

OOC: Did Saada and Vail ever get their rope back?
"What can we expect to encounter down there?"
Vail gives Saada a nudge. “I don’t know, probably a truly frightening monster that’ll haunt us for the rest of our dreams?”
Vail trails off and thinks about his own past darkness and internally shudders. He silenced the voices in his head and gives a slight smile.
ooc: good point bout that rope!
lol what the actual **** XD
"Hey uhhh, I mean...well...this is..." Tauriel says rather flustered about her chest embarrased. "You know what, never mind..."
