(Heh, rough/long party and kind of drunk tonight. Unless you want Tauriel to actually be drunk when she talks, control me til tomorrow night XD)

The party continues down the tunnel to the edge of where the glowing fungus starts. You can see they are mostly growing along the edges of the tunnel where over the years dirt/dust/and moisture have formed enough soil for them to grow in. There are also sometimes streaks of them up the walls or on the ceiling where moisture has worked it's way through cracks and provided a place for them to grow. It's really very pretty. Looking like lightning bolts streaking across the tunnel in some places.

Estes bends down and collects a few samples for further study.

Vail, in the lead, gets to where the mushrooms are growing thick enough to provide some ambient light and hears a click from the floor underneath him

Vail hears a slight hiss from above him and a click. Looking up he has time to see a liquid oozing out of the ceiling.

Vail, you attempt to move out of the way but the ceiling is just too close and a drop of liquid falls onto your cheek. I'll need a DC13 Con Save

Con: 16

Vail attempts a step away from the clicking floor and the liquid but trips on his own feet and stumbles back to the group. In his flurry a drop of liquid falls on his cheek. He immediately moves to run the liquid off from his face on his shoulder. He can’t quite reach and thumbs the substances off his cheek.

his heart is pounding. What was that click I heard? What was that liquid? What are these mushrooms!? Am I seeing things?

knowing he needs to be quiet he tries to keep his mouth shut but a trail of muffled expletives exscapes his mouth in a whisper 

As it drips against your skin you quickly wipe it away and for a moment feel your body go stiff, then your muscles ease and you shake off the effects. Stepping to the side to let the rest of poison drip from the ceiling harmlessly to the floor.

“What in the....”

Vail is exhausted from the poison induced muscle spasms and is breathing heavily. He doesn’t quite recognizing the rapid tonic, clonic phase the nerve affecting poison sent him though but takes a knee to catch his breath.

With hands shaking his threads his fingers through his hair and speaks to himself out loud “watch where you’re ******* stepping you fool.”

“Estes are these fungi dangerous at all or can I walk through them?”

Nature 10 "well, I've never seen these exact mushrooms but I suspect we triggered a trap in the passage. Let's watch where we step."

Estes, You're aware of a few species of luminous fungi but don't know exactly what these are. You know that most are harmless. They shouldn't be an issue but you'd advise against eating any just to be safe.

"Mordan said this place would trapped. We should be mindful of where we step and what we touch."

Investigation 21 "going forward keep your eyes peeled" but Estes was too concerned with scolding to take his own advice 

"Peeling!" says Tauriel investigating 1
"All clear it seems!" she tells the group, sure of herself.

Saada takes a deep, slow breath.

OOC: Does she sense any more traps in the area?

Vail readjusts his goggles and lifts them on his head while in the bright passage; they were being washed out by the glowing fungi. He notices Tordals beard

”Good lord Tordal, when did your beard get down to your waist?”

He pauses and re wipes at the spot the poison hit his cheek.

”I guess I’ll try and be more careful... if you see anything on the ground let me know.... I’m trying to look up down the passage to see any danger coming.”

Ooc: im ready to lead the group and go ahead again 

Saada, You don't sense any more traps but in looking around you notice some of the glowing mushrooms on the wall nearby outlining a roughly rectangular shape.

"What have we here?" Saada muses as she walks towards the glowing rectangle and begins investigate it.

Investgation: 9

"Hmm. Neat. Hey Estes, check this out!" Looks towards the rest of the group, nodding at the glowing rectangle.

"Seems unusual. Don't see hard edges on much fungus...probably unnatural. Caution. "

Still curious about the rectangle, Saada step as far back from the rectangle as possible, making sure she is both standing uphill and off center to it.

"I'm going to try something. Everyone, don't stand directly in front of it, lest what happened to Vail happen to you as well." Saada warns.

She whispers "Haal." a glowing hand appears and presses against the rectangle.

Yeah, that roll doesn't do much for you Saada. If someone wants to help you they can do a check or you can take another roll for advantage.

What you do notice is that it doesn't look natural. There are definitely cracks in a rectangular shape that the fungus is growing out of.

Survival 25 Estes is going to try and figure out how it came to be rectangular. (Nature or investigation would be 2 lower)
