Tauriel comes jumping down, hoping from ledge to ledge more like a mountain goat than a mintaur. Reaching the bottom in a flourish, looking at you all saying "I don't know what the big deal is?"
With everyone now at the bottom and looking around nobody see's anything that sets alarms off. You can see that at some point the door you can see was rigged to close to trap someone in the passage beyond but the mechanism has long since worn away. Looking closely you see that the pile of rocks holding the round door in place looks pretty shaky. It's surprising that it survived the tremor and looks like it could crumble away releasing the stone at any time.
Tordal lands in dramatic crouch like he just did something really tough and looks around to see if anyone is impressed. Not getting the reaction he had hoped for he takes to the largest chunk of rubble he can get his hands on in an attempt to reinforce the door with Estes.
(Lol Tordal) Estes you could if you could find some spores or mycelium to grow. Shouldn't be too tough in where you are so give me a nature check with advantage.
Vail gives a nod in Tordals directions. Impressed in the athleticism of the little guy and mumbles to himself how the only reason he slipped and Tordal didn’t was because he got rid of the shaky rocks.
“It’s probably not best to smoke inside a cave, I’ll have a quick one.”
Vail goes through the typical cigarette procedures before attempting to place some strong backs on the passage way with the others.
”let’s go ahead and discuss this now, I’d like to stay in the lead when we head down here. Anyone else who is fleet of foot might want to move with me and the others can take the trail.
just a suggestion but I hardly want Tauriel clomping around up front.”
Vail puts a hand on Tordals head and gives him a pat “thanks for the guidance earlier. While I may have walked away from Apollo, your counsel, and staying at the temple the teachings still hold truth.”
"Apollo's light can help guide our way" Tordal borrows Vail's weapon, running a hand up it a light behind to emanate from the weapon. "Without having to worry about a torch you can focus on whatever dangers we may encounter. If anyone else would like light, pass me an item, the light should stay strong for an hour or so "
“Clever trick Tordal, thank you. Is everyone ready? Let’s go.”
Vails leads the party with his long sword lighting the way and is able to wield his shield because he doesn’t need to hold a torch. Twiggy is fast asleep getting some nice bush like rest becuse he is a young growing sapling.
OK, So you guys start making your way down the passage. It's a small corridor and you can only fit single file. I'll need a marching order. (When it's established I'll use the same order in the future unless told differently)
Ooc: no problem! Just trying to match the pace of Estes and Saada!
(Haha. If I could play all night I would! I'm the caretaker on a farm though and on the birds schedule :)
To many peoples surprise and probably mostly to himself, Tordal makes it down as safely, jumping the last few feet and landing solidly.

"Let's see about reinforcing that before we go through." Estes will look for some fallen beams or timber, don't want to lose the way back.
There is definitely a bit of rubble and such you can find :)

(Sounded like it. If this trail goes on a ways could I leave a breadcrumb like trail of little mushrooms or something with druidcraft? )

Estes: You can easily find some fungi to sprout. With Tordals help the two of you sure up the door without trouble.

(is it pretty dark down the tunnel?)
Ok going forward every 100 feet or so drop and grow 1 and if we take any turns mark them.
"We should assume it gets dark further in"
It is. There's light going into it a bit from the ambient daylight but completely dark beyond.
