Her veins coursing with adrenaline, Misha grips her warhammer so tight her knuckles go white. Not giving the demon an inch she prepares to send it back to where it came.
“Ya, just like mercy you no show my people, filth.” Misha growled at it. Turning to Kelric, “Finish him, or I do job. Deserves no mercy.“ She raises her hammer at the demon ready to smash it in case for some horrible, silly reason you chose to spare it.
The babau is slain, but the fires continue to rage. Halflings are attempting to put out the flames with buckets of water, but they are having little luck.
Oni will use Mask of Many Faces to return to his normal human appearance and even though he looks and feels exhausted, he will go help put out fires wherever he can.
"Should've put the mayor down when it was told." Grum mutters to himself.
He looks around at the fire everywhere, and runs over to check on the mayor. "Are you ok? Is there anything that can be done to stop the fire? Are buckets the only fire defenses you have?"
Misha stands there for a moment as the creature dies, with no remorse. She mutters a swear word and slowly turns away from it. Setting her hammer and shield down for a moment, she kneels and prays silently.
Lord General, you have blessed my comrades and I this day with honor and glory by allowing us to defeat this enemy in your name. I will forever be your faithful servant. Your will be done.
“Excellent job everyone!” Misha said, triumphant. Giving everyone a look of appreciation and respect, before she picked up her hammer and shield again, she wrapped an arm around Natasha and pulled her in close. Very close. “Great shot, Sunflower. Gave Misha opening she needed.” And with that, she gives you another mighty peck on the cheek, but this time her hand wandered down and she grabbed your behind in an affectionate squeeze, lingering there for a moment too long - giving it a heartful pat before walking away with a sly look on her face.
Jill smiles at the PSA going on in front of her. Looks like the town isn't the only thing that's heated right now. "Ooh la la." She runs off to fight the fires before either woman can respond.
Grum, the mayor has passed out, presumably from terror.
Despite your best efforts, the fire begins to gain ground, consuming all in it's path. There is no stopping it.
"To the hills!" A voice yells over the roar of the inferno. "We'll take refuge on the opposite side of the river. The fire can't reach us there. "
This suggestion is met with widespread approval, and desperate families begin to desert the lost hamlet, looking back with a mixture of fear and regret as they cross the bridge which spans the river to the east of the town and into the safety of the hills on the opposite side.
Jill looks out with sadness at the burning village and the newly homeless villagers. It's not the first time that I've slept in the open, but I imagine that it is for these people. But they are alive and like me, they can build new lives. Jill collapses on the ground, tired and still fairly hungover. "At least the stars are out tonight. No one disturb my rest unless you wish to make a one-way trip to the afterlife. Bonne nuit."

Once the people have agreed on their course of action, Grum sets out slightly ahead of them, scouting before them to made sure the way is safe. These folk have lost enough this night already, and if he's honest with himself, Grum relishes the chance to serve and be of use in this task, and get some time to his own thoughts, however briefly, in the process. Once the people have settled on the hillside for the night (if they do so safely) Grum will regroup with the others and rest up.
Misha joins Jill for a moment as they walk with the evacuating town. She turns back to look at the fire. “Is beautiful no? Back home fire in many places. Look how alive it looks and how it dances. You can admire if from afar but if touch, get burnt bad, no? It eats and consumes. But, fire can be like passion inside. They say you are no one until find true passion inside yourself. Teachers of Banehold very wise, but I focus more on strength of body than mind, eh??” She erupts into a loud laugh.
”Sleep well, my pale comrade!” she walks away and leaves you be, setting up her own spot nearby.
"You can be strong. I will focus on the mind for the both of us. To me, fire always represented a connection with our more primal selves. The early humans who didn't have cities, who huddled around fires to keep out of the darkness. I suppose that part of that primal spirit still lives in us. We still have the same fears, the same desire for passion. I have put passion aside for the most primal instinct survival. But meeting the five of you has allowed me to become a person again. Maybe I might find that passion soon."
