Morn and Wraeven return to camp carrying the case of goods stolen from the back of the wagon. "Are the younglings still OK? I got a message from Ayra, Thank you." Wraeven looks disheveled and a bit injured. "It only hurts when I breathe. I'll rub some dirt on it. I'll be OK." He sort of collapses a little.
Looking towards Mobya, Agozur will shrug "Well everyone ran off in different directions, so I'm not completely sure what has happened." pondering for a few seconds as he walks closer to the camp "I think it best we wait for the morning and investigate, I'm not fond of the dark and I don't think it would be wise for our destiny's to pursue something blindly through it."

Ayra is relieved that the middle-of-the-night chaos has settled, and to see that members of the party who had disappeared into the woods are beginning to return. In particular, she is relieved to see that Wraeven, while looking a little worse for wear, has not left her responsible for the Raven Queen's mission on her own.
As the situation seems less urgent and she can relax a little, she is able to take a closer look at the wagons.
Investigation 14 (Assessing the missing merchandise situation and looking for anything else that may be interesting)
Ayra, as you begin looking over the wagon, you see the cover sunken and drier spots where what appears to be 4 or maybe 5 cases of merchandise were missing. As you begin to look more closely, you see the merchant climbing up and looking over the product himself.
As the merchant looks over, most of you would notice his shoulders slumping.
[imagine the previous accent, plus you all would be getting better at recognizing his speech pattern at this point anyway as more of a second nature....also I'm being a bit lazy ;) ]
"helf a wegkon, a full helf a wegkon....." looking around, "How dit tis happen? Ech kase es wert huntrets uf gold tah tose uhpper spire felk.... tid yeh not set eh wetch?"
Silv'ar,you are up. After Agozur's arrow whizzed above your head into the second creature that just howled, You and Alesandair with his shield lighting the way are on the front lines of the chase, and you heard Lil make a comment about going to grab his weapons. [the rest of the happenings at the camp, you would not be aware of, but you did hear the song stop in response to the howl.]
Silv'ar, as you continue the chase, the creature is dashing and weaving through the woods past the edge of the light and your throwing range. As you lob your knife at the creature, make a second roll to accommodate the disadvantage.
Alesandair, as you see Silv'ar throwing his knife after the creature what do you do/say?
[Holy crap I assumed that baddy was dead! And btw belated LOL, Wraevan, for your very dramatic performance. I had presumed we were about to have down time from monster intruders so thought your wounds could be tended to at our leisure. Meanwhile probably just lying there on the ground hoping someone will notice ROFL!]

Seeing Silv'ar running ahead, i too will give chase in hopes to either kill or question the thief. Whilst saying to Silv, "Don't think i am going to let you go it alone through these unknown woods."
After moving up 30 feet, and channeling power through my symbol, once again attempting to hit it with sacred flame damage [if hit]- 4
As Silv'ar's dagger flies toward the creature, it is encompassed in a large flash of light as Alesandair calls his radiant beam, it seems almost from the moon and stars themselves, striking the creature once again. As light erupts once again for all to see [except Morn, who is still on the ground being helped up by Wraeven by the case].
As the light comes down, both men would see the outline of a good-sized, feather-winged creature swooping down from the canopy just a bit behind the creature that was struck (about 30 ft behind the creature, and 70 ft from Aleandair, Silv'ar 80ft.)
Morn, you're up.
[Yes, Wraeven, needed to Retcon that since we're not out of initiative yet. I had to see what the others did before I rolled with it...or in this case not.]
Wraeven, since Morn has already begun acting in response to your first post, I'm going to run with that. Since you help Morn up, and you both start heading back to camp with the crate. You can decide to stop and say never mind on your next turn, but the creature has already gone out of range of your darkvision and sight at this point as you see a flash of light from the forest East of camp. If I'm doing the math right, you and Morn will make it 45 ft closer to camp carrying the case of cargo, leaving about 45ft more to go.
Silv'ar hopes his dagger hit, but the light was too bright to tell at this point: Only time will reveal the truth.
Those at the camp, can see the merchant fighting a mixture of sadness and anger, but when he sees the flash of light, he'll encourage the party to be safe but remind them of why he said he'd pay them. "Tem two might've fount meh guts. Eh'll whetch tem beepees wit deh nice ehlf letty."
He'll grab a crossbow and set his stance up on the wagon, actively watching around the camp.
The first creature, the one struck by the sacred flame of Alesandair, will use the confusion of the flash of light to hide. Wraeven's turn is spent as described previously helping Morn.
Mobya scratches her head in bewilderment as she asks Ayra, “did he just say he will watch over the babies?!? Over my dead body!” She gives the Merchant a defying look as she returns to her guarding stance over the basket. She notices that the basket is shaking a bit and realizes that now that they have moved away from the fire the younglings must be cold, so she uses her Produce Flame cantrip to light a small fire by the basket.
I will make a perception check to make sure other monsters aren’t hiding close by the babies/us
Perception 8
With your 8, you don't notice anything threatening near the camp.
Wraeven and Morn lose sight of the creature that they had been chasing, but still hear small thuds, crashes, and crunches from time to time.
Agozur, you're up, having turned toward Lil and hearing Mobya's question, what do you do?

Ooc: dm: perhaps redact my post if needed. Just realized I was playing Morn's character. Apologies.

Lil or Mobya feel free to act.
Also, anyone who heard him can speak in response to the Merchant.
