Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero

"I should never have agreed to throw coin with Lothar to see who would join this ragtag group of mercenaries...well, I needed to flee, that's a good thing that we ended up in the middle of nowhere..."That is what passes Tarlin's mind when they entered the tavern. He kept close to Bumble for it is a sure thing that before the night is at an end, the gnome will get himself in some sort of trouble.
Not making any attempts to hide his weapons Tarlin leans on the bar and says: Good Sir, while you answer my exited little friend question, wouldn't you mind getting a dry-throat traveler a mug of ale? Tarlin, then with amazing finger coordination makes appear in his hand a silver piece, then two, then one again, putting the one on the bar, well over the price of a single mug of ale.
Bruce trudges along behind the rest of the group. Seeing the tavern and watching as the others start entering, Bruce is happy to find a place to be able to have a rest. The thought of a good meal, a cold drink, and a bed to sleep were the only thing on his mind as he pushed through the doors of the establishment.
Making his way to the bar behind Tarlin, Bruce puts a single thick finger in the air suggesting to the barman that he would also like what Tarlin is having.
As your group steps in the bartender eyes open for a bit.
When Tarlin finish his little trick, impressed, he starts pouring two wooden mugs while turning his head to the litlle gnome saying -- Well there's not much to say, we are just a little town with our own little problems - nods to a board next to the door where there are some papers sticked to it - I reckon you are far away from home, maybe ... one those...- he wipers and looks around like afaaid someone will hear him - adventurers.
He grins and takes the silver from the table.
Decus make a performance check if you would like to gather some coin.
Bumble chuckles and whispers back, "Don't worry, we don't bite. Why, I'm just a simple gnome exploring the world, and my friend Tarlin here is working on his close-up magic. Hopefully our little group can help solve some of your little problems while we're at it." Master Abraxus always said adventurers and magic users were seen differently outside the Academy, but hopefully if we can ease some of their troubles we can earn their trust. She gives the bartender a friendly wave goodbye and heads over to read the postings on the board.
Finding a seat suitable to his large frame, Decus unleashed his lute from its position on his pack. He strummed each string, adjusting as needed to get it to the right pitch. Once it was near perfect he began strumming the strings individually in a docile tone, near quiet so as to draw the listener in.
Once full attention was on him he began building chords, the sound of the lute resonating from the metal plating that covers his body, producing an amplified but not overpowering reverberation.
Bruce puts his own silver coin on the bar, grabs one of the drinks and to the barman says "Keep them coming". He then turns toward the table that the girl at the door had pointed to under the window and makes himself comfortable while he listened to the Bard play his music.
Decus: You look down to find [roll]3d10[/roll] silver pieces in a bowl, and many happy faces in front
Bruce: the mug of cold ale is just great, just a little mud-laking for your taste.
Bumble: in the message board you find some Wanted posters for poachers and local "girl looking for guy" ads there's also some graffiti scribbled around some . are childish scribbles, but one on a place too tall for a child to reach says in rushed elvish "watch out for the believers".
Tarlin: the bar tender watches your friend go to the board and still wispering tells you "be careful with your scaley friend, I won't tell no one, adventurers like you are my best costumers, but this people is easily frightened."
Taman: you enter the tavern and find Decus playing and people around him enjoying the time.
all: everybody clapping and happy so no one notices as Arix wanders in the tavern un-hooded in plain sight.
Shade takes a seat with the rest of the party, wearing the mask of a weathered miner met years before. The beard was shaggy, the hair half-gone from a head injury, arms like logs.
"Evening everyone," Shade grunted. One of the fascinating aspects of taking new masks was the voices that came along, "I see we've already attracted attention. What's the news, or do I need to find some?" Shade stuck out an index finger and thumb then began to twist a fingertip into the mask's temple.

Bumble takes a chair at the party's table as well, sitting on her backpack to see over the table properly. "Evening," she says. "Lovely new face, Shade. Very mountain-man. You might just fit in enough to make the rest of us look respectable." She scans the room, looking over the happy patrons enjoying the music. "At least Decus seems to be earning us some goodwill. As far as news, nothing more than the usual small town problems."
She frowns. It was just a bit of scribbling, right? Probably a drunken prankster, or someone annoyed with the local religion. She sighs, then continues. "There was an odd bit of graffiti on the board. Possibly nothing, but it read 'watch out for the believers.' Anyone have an idea what it might mean?"

Listening to the barkeep advice Tarlin could only give a halfhearted smile indicating that the situation of commoners finding out about Arix had happened before and it didn't end up being fun.
Perceiving his demeanor when indicating the postboard to Bumble and listening to Bumble's discovery made Tarlin want to extract more information from the Barkeep, using the distraction provided by the great performance of Decus, Tarlin asks: Say my friend, you didn't look relaxed when pointing my friend toward the notice board, is there anything a group of adventures might do to help?
At this time the second silver piece reappears in Tarlin's hand, a clear incentive to the Barkeep to open up.
the crowd seems pleased with the song and is asking for one more but by the looks of it you are not getting much more coin.
decus if you like make a performance check, but there's probably not many coins left in pockets.
no one knows anything about these believers, probably just local.
the bar tender looks you straight in the eye and says "it's not safe here, see upstairs in 5 min. , bring only your people and no one else" as he finishes his sentence he rises back up and continues smiling and pouring ale making small talk with a client , then yelling "GERTRUDE 'MERE YOU LAZY".
That was exactly what Tarlin was expecting. With calm and a nonchalant demeanor, he moves through his companions passing the information on: Meeting upstairs, in five, gather everyone. Try not calling much attention.

Seeing the delighted faces of the townspeople lifted Decus's spirits, his music brought happiness and helped to ease the pain of his displacement.
He finished his song and sat his lute down across his lap, "What next then, another song, or maybe a poem?" he asked the crowd.
OOC: 22 Silver, ya! Drinks on me guys!

Decus will nod to Tarlin, he then returns his gaze to the crowd. "One more than, I call this one Beyond the Vale, and it's very personal to me"
A simple chord played on the lute is all the accompaniment Decus needs, and then he allows his voice to do the rest.
Performance Check for the sake of knowing, Decus would perform for nothing, the coinage is just an added bonus 15
