After Tarlin moves through the group telling them of the meeting upstairs, Bruce stands up. Being over six feet tall, and built like an outhouse, subtle is not part of his vocabulary.
He pushes past the the tables on his way to the stairs knocking people into their meals, spilling drinks and tripping over the wait staff. "Sorry, my bad, watch that, need to get there,....."
Bruce stomps his way up the stairs and looks around the upper floor trying to work out where the meeting is being held.
a farmer comes near you and with a raspy voice says "thank you, that was truly great" and puts a hand in your shoulder every one just smile and nod and continue with their activities shortly after some brings a mug of ale and a plate of what seems whole small potatoes with spice.
unless someone objects, you meet with the tavern keeper as you enter he closes the door an put a cloth over the keyhole in it.
looks around and in a soft voice says
- My name is Garlen Harlathurl, I have lived here my whole life , and there's evil arrving to this town, something that defies nature I can't put my finger quite on it, but lately there's been rumors of people disappearing near the lance stone , one day west from here. Once, long ago another group o adventurers like you came they helped us for a while but one day they just left and I can't help but to imagine the worse."
Decus will have taken a stance near a corner in the back of the room, so as not inconvenience anyone with his size, "Well met Garlen, what is this Lance Stone you speak of?" he then takes a bite of the Spiced potatoes he was given downstairs, and offers to share with any of the rest of his traveling party who might be hungry.
Shade donned another mask before proceeding upstairs. The wrapped cloak left much to viewers' imaginations, so donning the appearance of a traveling priest looking for some peace in a room. For those that seemed suspicious, a little mental manipulation allowed Shade to slip from their notice in the crowds as though no one new was ever there.
Once upstairs, Shade took a typical spot in an inconspicuous corner, close to a window to keep an eye on escape routes or possible threats. At the mention of a Lance Stone and strange disappearances, the interest was slightly aroused, "What did you say about disappearances? Also, ditto to our music box friend, what's this Lance stone?"

Bruce reached over and took the potato dish and started shovelling the food into his mouth. Turning to Decus he says "Thanks Puppet." allowing food to fly with each syllable.
Turning back to the barman, Bruce asks "Did the last group have as many strong warriors as us?"
Ezekiel, quiet up until now, removes his hood and asks for some wine. With a grin he interjects, "I doubt it, Bruce, otherwise he wouldn't be asking us."
Arix: A challenge at a stone? Seems interesting. Seems as if something would come from this, a larger adventure. Perhaps at the end we will become heroes of the world, possibly dimensions.

The monk is seated in one chair. Listening. He has little to add to what his friends are asking to Garlen. He had a bad feeling though but reminded the lessons of his master back at the monastery " Do not let your own fears become your reality." He tried to focus and listen to Garlen's information instead of daydreaming.
"The last group were ok, strong and brave looking to make a life for their own, they were some quiet folk special eye elf"
"as for the lance stone, is a little over day to the northwest, follow the road, it's a big black rock, can't miss it, some people say it's the tip of a gigant's castle that fell from the sky, other that a dragon just dropped it there. I really don't care much about how it came to be , but something is not right lately"
Decus mentally winced as his party members took their turns giving him nicknames, music box, puppet, all objects instead of people. True he wasn't a human, or a dwarf, or even a majestic elf, but he counted himself as a living thinking thing.
"Garlen, sir, other than people disappearing, can you tell us anything more about the evil that threatens?"
This region has old bones, we may be a small town but the hunger of power is always present, I've traveled two or three roads on my days and I can tell you there's always one person whose hunger for power is obvious, and they always have henchmen in search for some leftovers.
he looks around again like I this statement had called unwanted ears. he whispers.
I heard your little friend say something about the believers, they are powerful people not strange to bribe, threats an murder to get some edge against others.
nobody is sure who is and who isn't a believer, and we aren't exactly asking around, but be careful.

"This history of the belivers worries me. Do you think that they could be related to the dissapearances around that rock?"
After Garlen asnwers him he talks to his comrades.
"I think we should go to that rock, and take a look. After we hace solve this mistery perhaps we could look into this belivers matter. What do you think? "
Bumble swipes a few potatoes before Bruce finishes the plate and nods. "I agree, if people are disappearing then we should check it out and see if we can put a stop to it." If whatever is causing the disappearances is powerful enough to take out the last group of adventurers, the poor townsfolk will certainly stand no chance. We should do what we can for them, but be cautious with this unknown enemy.
Hopping down from her chair, she looks around at the rest of the party. "For the moment, however, it is late. Confronting this place of evil will be best done in the light of day, so let us rest for the night and start off in the morning."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Bruce tired, maybe tavern man give us room for help with the rock trouble?"

Bruce is not the smartest one around but he gets a feeling that didn't go as well as he had hoped. He heads back down the stairs to the bar and enquiries about a bed.

Feeling refreshed and rested after weeks on the road, Taman wakes just before sunrise and find a spot behind the inn for practicing his kata, both unarmed and armed.
He then removes his clothing, except the underwear, and throws over his head a couple of buckets full of cold water. He let's the rising sun dry and warm him while he meditates and he returns to his room, put on clean clothes and get his gear ready.
The others find him with a smile on his face, ready to depart as soon as they are.
Bruce is already awake eating the breakfast that came with the room. The sleep was restful but Bruce is more at home in the outdoors, sleeping in ditches or grabbing naps when the chance arises.
While keeping an eye on Arix at the bar, Bruce gives Taman a nod as he joins the table. Looking forward to the possibility of a battle, Bruce just waits for the rest of the party to join and tell him the plan.
