While Jared wakes up with a start in the back of one of the team's wagons, his blind swinging fails to find purchase on any of his teammates, as he was in the back of the wagon.
Since no-one is speaking up, the current arrangement is Prolvic and Sildar in Prolvic's wagon, in the lead.
Tungol driving the second wagon with Alteria as navigator, not too eager for another fight, and willing to let the others run into trouble first.
Finally is the second wagon the party has, driven by Narissa, with Jared having been laid down in the bed of the wagon by Sildar.
The groups is just a couple of hour out from their destination.
You wake up and nothing seems out of the ordinary, you can see the town a few miles off, lights coming on as the sun sets, torches lit amongst the houses.
After a few more miles down the dirt road, you reach Phandelin, a minor town, comprised of about forty or fifty simply-made log buildings, a few built on fieldstone foundations. Older ruins, crumbling stone walls, covered in ivy, briars, and underbrush surround the newer houses and shops, giving some precedent for a much larger town having existed here in the past. Most of the newer buildings are set on the sides of the cart track, which widens into a muddy main street of sorts, as it climbs toward a ruined manor house on a hillside at the east end of town.
As you approach, a few guards walk forward to identify your cart, and seeing nothing wrong, move to the sides of the entrance, allowing you to pass. A few citizens poke their heads out of windows to look at the wagons brought back, but most quickly return to whatever they were doing inside, while the odd child or two peers out from the window, some barely peeking over the sills from the height difference.
Sildar noticably relaxes as the wagons safely enter the center of town, and slow to a stop in the muddy area next to the town green. "My friends" he says, "let us secure lodgings. I'm told the local inn is very quaint. Much better than a cave at least" he groans, stretching and trying to move his shoulders out.
"We can rest for the night, and deal with the provisions and such in the morning."
As you make your way downstairs from the inn's upper floor (the rooms paid for graciously by Sildar) you notice several locals in the common room. Most avert their gaze, while a few take glances from the corner of their eyes at Alteria. One teenager working as a busboy simply stares.
(Please make a dc 2 perception check)
One of the workers brings over a set of freshly laundered commoner clothes, not yours, but they should fit nonetheless.
Looking around town brings up 4 possible locations where such goods might be found;
Barthen's Provisions: A general goods store native to the town, and the largest one.
The Lionshield Coster: A smaller trading post, but one of a chain, owned by the Lionshields, a merchant company from out to the east.
The Phanalin Miner's Exchange: another trading post, likely tied to the local mining business.
The Shrine of Luck: A small shrine acting as an impromptu temple to the Goddess Tymora.
PROLVIC
Upon awakening you discover that Sildar has already gotten up for the day and left his room.
Upon reaching the Lionshield office you notice a bit more going on than usual, some people are running around, papers flying about, work as usual you can only assume.
When you exit the inn, you note it's place at the center of town, and that it is much more newly built than some of the other buildings, made of fieldstone and timber.
I look around and wonder where the **** I am and what's going on for a moment. Seeing nobody familiar around and remembering a newfound purpose, I head off to find the seediest place in town using my natural instincts as a bar fighter.
I punch the nearest person upon waking up.

I take in my surroundings to get my bearings.

You can all take a long rest
upon waking up, you are free to explore the town, visit shops, etc.
I go out in search of an apothecary to purchase potions from.
Alteria
Similarly, I return to the Lionshield coster, to report in my findings.
Somnnier Prolvic - A happy merchant of the world.
Sure thing.

Jared
I sit in a public area to observe the people and area of Phandelin and take notes on my observations
Oh crap, I'm an idiot.
Everyone gets 200 xp for making it to Phandalin (almost) safely.
Oh joy, what's with this racket then?
Somnnier Prolvic - A happy merchant of the world.
"It's always something, isn't it?"
Can I tell how many people are stomping outside and how close they are from listening?
Alteria
Just the one, in the hallway connecting the 6 rooms on the second floor of the building, 5 of which you occupy.
Is there a keyhole in the door or something I can very Very quietly peek through to see who it is?
Alteria
Rather than a complicated lock embedded in the door, there is a simple bolt running from the door the frame.
I draw my dagger and keep it at the ready in case of intrusion.
Alright I'm going to be as stealth as possible in my room until I hear the sound passing.
Alteria
I bang on the walls as I make my way down the hall.
"OI! GET UP AND GET YOUR SHIT, WE'VE GOT ******** TO KILL"
Jared
