Storm King's Thunder + Against the Giants

(OOG That's why I asked the barkeep for help lmao I'm just a little air genasi...lol)

Grathart assists Ren and Ogden in getting the Goliath to her room. 

"Midnight rendezvous..." Grathart seems to ponder his question a moment it a moment "Yes of course, I will assist."

"For Moradin's hammer, Lady Axe-in-the-giant's-arse weights like Mirabar's gates"

The, Ogden helps the skinny, pale human to place the big goliath in a spare room upstairs...in a not-too-gentle manner.

"Thank you, Garthart, meet me here around 11:30. I am going to meditate for a little bit and gather my thoughts."

(OOG I won't be doing anything until midnight when Garthart and I go to meet Sirac.)

OOG Ok if no one else, have something to do in the afternoon, I play the meeting with Sirac. Let me know if you want your character to do something before this meeting. Remember you have one more free day to get some supplies in city.

Exact on time, Sirac shows up at Kelvin's Comfort. He seems a bit nervous, therefore take first a mug of Firebrandy and then come sit at the heroes' table.

"Thank you for coming."

He pauses a minute to find the courage to speak...

"As I said to Master Ren this morning, I might have some clues about what the frost giants are looking for. They are after Art...Artus Cimber, which I believe is the holder of a powerful artefact known as Ring of Winter. I dun...don't know anything at all about its powers, bu-but for the way it is called I assume it has something to do with powers of winter and frost. To plan an attack such as today's, the frost giants want it and want it ba-badly."

(OOC - I suppose until we know what we're being asked to do next - its hard to figure out if we need supplies or not.  Like I said - if we're heading out in to the wilds to chase giants, Erakas would like to get a longbow and some arrows.  But doesn't need to spend the day RP'ing it IMHO - and I kinda assumed it was night by the time we were done eating and talking which is why Erakas went to bed)

OOC: Grathart will not leave the tavern, he will drink and smoke his pipe next to the fire, maybe occasionally cat napping. 

"Well, we know all this already. But Artus Cimber hasn't been seen in 100 years. I'm afraid if you have no new information about the attack we really don't have much else to talk about. Unless do you know where Cimber is?"

Ren takes a drink from his waterskin, savoring the fresh spring water he got the day before. This man seems antsy. He reaches out with his mind to Garthart to tell him what he's thinking. *This man seems antsy. I'm going to play disinterest, maybe get him to open up more.*

"I do not know his whe-whereabouts. But I know someone who might. A waterdevian noble. I don't know his first name, but the family name is Roaringhorn."

"Someone? In Waterdeep? How do you know this?"

"Well...ehm..."

"I am Artus Cimber's son. Never met the man, as far as I can recall. But Lord Roaringhorn was a friend of his."

Ren is used to learning things, diving into tomes and discussing histories with people, but this takes him back. His jaw drops visibly and he gasps. "Are you really? Well... I guess it makes sense why they were here. They were after you! Who else knows you are his progeny?"

"Has Roaringhorn contacted you then son?" Gratharts eyes peer into Siracs with intensity as he takes a long draw on his pipe.

(OOC - the maths don't really seem to work out - if he disappeared 100 years ago - and this kid is human - he'd have to be like 120 years old+ unless he's only half human......and half.....giant? or something *shrug* - I'm just pondering while I sleep)

(OOC - maybe the Giantess was Sirac's mom come to claim back child support or something and we got in the middle of it on accident)

" Then, I decided to leave Waterdeep and find some peace here, in Icewind Dale.... But you cannot run from your past...It always haunts you..."

"You are not your father, you should not have to live in his shadow, young sir." Ren touches his shoulder trying to reassure his point. "Thank you for trusting us with this information, I don't know how this will help us right now, but any information is good information. Waterdeep is quite the journey..." Ren gets lost in his thoughts for a moment. *What do you think, Gart?*
