Storm King's Thunder + Against the Giants

Grathart has settled into the back of the wagon and his lit his pipe, this time the smoke has no scent. "Looks like the shrubs won that one" he says looking over Erackas and Marshmellow.

(OOG Hey, the owner is in from New York today and I can't really play around on here like I normally do...or have a D&D book out lol. Even though we have no work, we have to be ready for when "work" comes in...though, I always have my D&D books out and this page open when I have to troubleshoot the security systems, but whatever... I probably won't post too much today, sorry. He's supposed to be here tomorrow too... :/ thankfully he's only in town every few months lol after going to the park tonight I will try to get on and post a little bit...sorry again! Thank you for understanding, you guys [and gal] are the best! )

OOG Friends, these are your options. Sorry for the delay, been a busy day + barbecue on the lake.

(OOC - If there's a path to Ironmaster - I suggest we head there first to help get reinforcements to Bryn Shander, then we can hit Hundelstone on the way south to Luskan.)

[Erakas senes that a blizzard is coming fast. It could hit the party within the hour.]

Erakas sniffs the air and looks around....

"We'd better find some place to hide, there's a blizzard coming soon....should hit us within the hour...."

Erakas will scout around for someplace we can take some kind of shelter, a copse of trees, or a rocky outcropping, or perhaps even a cave.

[Indeed there is a cave near the bank of the Shaengarne River, about 100 feet far from the party.]

"Aye the forces of nature are not to be trifled with" Grathart will help Erackas scout for a good place to camp, having dealt with Blizzards before living in the mountains. 

OOC: For the rest of the trip I will use Druid Craft each morning, midday, and evening to advise what the weather in our general location will look like for the proceeding hours. Given that it says it predicts it for "your location" and we will be moving I presume I will need to update it throughout the day. 

"This way.....I found a cave we can take shelter in.  Rockhand, help Ren with the wagon."  Erakas leads the party to the cave.

Erakas would also like to investigate the cave for signs of other occupants.

(OOC - not sure what roll you'd like - nature? investigation? survival? - also because of my Natural Explorer trait I have this - "While tracking other creatures, you also learn their exact number, their sizes, and how long ago they passed through the area." )

[The entrance of the cave is a 15 feet wide, 35 feet long passage which finishes into the cave proper. The cave is roughly circular.]

OOG I am assuming that the party is in the narrow passage, not yet in the cave. Argent Survival for tracking is good.

Erakas and Marshmellow will move in to the cave ahead of the wagon to make sure there aren't any surprises

And Marshmellow sneezes.......loudly

Erakas does not notice any kind of tracks. But even from the entrance, the cave seems really cold and damp.

Erakas shivers a bit, and lights a torch to help see the way deeper in to the cave.

Marshmellow sniffs the air for signs of other occupants

Grathart peers around the inside of the cave, "Going to need a fire for sure"
