Martina reflexively runs to the dead dwarf, then, as if remembering she can't do anything for a corpse, she looks at his armor and the fletchings of the bolt to see if she can identify what clan this dwarf or his enemy belonged to.

Enzo gives a look over at the Dawrf, but also rummages through his gear, looking for anything that might better clue it in or if nothing else, assist them in their own journey.
Cobalt turns to the others after scanning the cavern.
"Tracks here. Looks like an elf and a gnome. If it's a drow, we need to be careful of their wicked poison and dark magic. We should find who did this soon, in case they try to trap us." Cobalt then grimaces at the corpse, hesitating. "Where's... Did you find... His head?" The ranger looks pained as he says the words, plagued by memories past.

You don't recognize the dwarf or the make of the bolt.
Enzo:
In the pack is 50' of rope, a bag full of meat from an unknown source, a small hammer, some iron spikes, and two sealed letters, the seal on each indicates they were sen't by to a Gnomish merchant house (It's fairly distinctive as merchant houses are rare). There is an axe on his belt. You know that the dwarves at Deadstone have traded myconid spores to the gnomes in the past but that's the only connection between Dwarves and Gnomes that you can remember.
Enzo is going to open both sealed letters and read their contents, he'll also pocket the rope and meat, passing the remaining items off to anyone who wants them.
As he does this, he mubbles under his breath, "Poor bastard. 'Elp, hope you find some good company over there."
"A blight is upon Deadstone. We cannot send aid as we find ourselves in need of it, though overpopulation is unlikely to be a problem for our hold. BEWARE THE BODIES IN THE WATER, this is important, they will ruin you as they have ruined us. They are some foul creatures that aren't known to us but they come silent and dead and awake violent and hungry. There is a group of the weak and old from our shattered gates on the way. [the writing gets messier here] Please take them in. Without you, they will die. I am sorry. They come along the main route."
The second letter appears to be a single paragraph of unintelligible symbols and gibberish words.
"Well, first one is definitely a cry for help an considering our own mission, I'd say it suits us. As for the later letter, heck if I know. Probably in code, but it's not Cant.
The tracks are spaced widely here as if the group was in hurry. These tracks are as fresh as the body and there are occasional spots of blood along the trail. How far do you want to follow them?

Martina will try to stealthily creep along behind Cobalt, but tries to keep Enzo and Garkin in sight as well. She'll try to keep an eye out for potential dangers such as traps or strange fungus and the like.
Cobalt slips back into the shadows as Martina stumbles along behind him, and the rest of you lose sight of them. The tracks stop at a place where the tunnel splits into two passages, one that carries forward and a shaft that goes straight up. Most likely the group your tracking made the climb but the tracks are fresh enough that they may still be climbing depending on how far the shaft goes.
Martina is barely keeping up with Cobalt and getting a little flustered from all of this suspense.
"Cobalt, blast it! Ah cannae see with all o' this dark about. Which way d'ya think they're headed. We should fetch Garkin and Enzo a'fore followin' d'ya think?"
She's anxious to cast light but she holds for the time being knowing that it is not a smart strategic move since it will announce the party's presence.
"Aye, you're probably right. We might be walking into an ambush." Cobalt will return and tell the others to follow with weapons ready before continuing to follow the tracks.
If you want to pursue the other group up the vertical tunnel, I'm going to need athletics checks from everyone. If you fail, someone can help you up, but that will slow the group down considerably.
Martina was always pretty deft at climbing, jumping, and other sport. She instinctively locates hand holds and scurries up the vertical tunnel. If she reaches a good landing point she'll drive a piton into the rock and loop her rope through it, throwing it down to help anyone who might be struggling to make the climb.
Martina reflexively runs to the dead dwarf, then, as if remembering she can't do anything for a corpse, she looks at his armor and the fletchings of the bolt to see if she can identify what clan this dwarf or his enemy belonged to.

Martina will take the axe and throw it into her belt loop as a replacement for her missing one. (Is it a battleaxe or a handaxe?)

It's a hand axe.
