Strife survival ! 6

"Come on Seldor I am pretty sure I remember the way back! I might be able to convince her that she doesn't want to marry you... Although I don't know why you wouldn't want to marry her, I mean I saw the way she looked at you. She loves you man!"  The kobold would say slinging his pack over his shoulder prepared to head back.

"I don't have to justify why I don't want to marry a Grung, but if you need a reason, it's because she's unattractive, has poison skin, and lives on this island. That's why."

Feng, after hearing Seldor will give him a scolding look. "What wrong with island! We live island long time! We fine! We great! Meanie!" Feng will then storm off behind one of the trees.

"Good for you, I still have no intention of living here."

"Look... lets take one thing at a time... Lets head back to the village... they thank us and shower us with gifts... and then we complete our job and leave... or stay... whatever people wanna do at that point" Strife will say looking from companion to companion.

Feng will come back smiling, giggling. "We agree. Back to village, get golds."

Vappa will put a hand on Seldor's shoulder. "If elf not wish to stay... elf can marry and leave. Vappa's father... three wives... none from same tribe. Frogs may be different, though."

Feng will go over to the Silent Terror, poking it a couple times then he'll turn to the group. "We bring beast back. Proof dead. We... I pull beast."

"Vappa, you don't understand. I'm not marrying her. Full stop."

"I just don't understand why you would tell her that you wanted to marry her and get her hopes up only to abandon her... that is rough man... you are more ruthless than the silent terror..." Strife would say with a look of disappointment on his face.

"At no point did I say that I wanted to marry her and I don't really care too much about her hopes, to be honest."

"well once we get back to the village, maybe we can change her mind about who she wants to marry... maybe some other frog person or a handsome kobold or who knows!" Strife would mention before heading off towards the village.

(so did everyone else want to make their survival rolls?)

"Hey Vappa... you said your father had three wives? do you know... or did he ever... give you any advice on how to find a. mate... or someone to love you?" Strife would ask, looking up towards the lizardfolk as he makes his way back towards the village. 

Vappa would let out a low sigh as he scratches his neck. "Vappa... did not know father. Only stories from mother. Tribe warrior. Many kills. 13 eggs bore..." He pauses for a bit. "Rival tribe... steal eggs... kill father... destroy nest..." He then falls silent for a bit longer, then perks up. "Mother taught me. Find mate through battle... mate chooses winner."

"I am sorry to hear about your father Vappa" Strife would say looking down to the ground, mad at himself for bringing up such a topic. "it sounds like your mother like she was probably very smart and powerful" The kobold would say looking from the ground back up towards Vappa. "I uhh... never knew either of my parents... my earliest memories are growing up in the sewers under Waterdeep... but I like to think that maybe one of my parents was a dragon! or maybe related to a dragon some how... and maybe that is how I got my powers!.." The kobold would say as his facial expressions change from sad to happy and then back to sad. "I cannot help but wonder why they didn't want me though.... I think that is kind of why I wish I was in Seldors shoes... I have never had anyone to love... or love me... I am sure it is probably pretty nice."

Strife, you're able to lead  the party back to the Grung Village with no issues, even managing to spot and avoid a grove of large carnivorous plants.

Seldor, before the party enters the Village, I wanted to give you a chance to decide how you want to handle the marriage. It's pretty obvious by this point that you do not want to get married, which is totally fine. How would you like to go about it? Earlier you mentioned 'just tell them I died" or something similar. Is that what you want to go with? Or are you thinking something more along the lines of going in, pulling her aside, and letting her down easy? Just want to make sure we're all on the same page.

(OOC: If OK with you DM, during all this, Feng will of transformed into a Giant Lizard and tied the carcass of the Silent Terror to him, dragging it back to the village as proof that it is dead.)
