Lady Susanne says to her friends "It might be better off not staying, we have that thing in the cave to worry about, might not be a good idea to leave it alone a whole night." She tries to be careful not to give away Seldor hiding out to the natives.
"Yup, yeah.. on second thought.. I think Lady Susanne is right" The kobold would say shuffling over to her and grabbing her chainmail shirt tightly, trying to keep himself on his feet. "We should probably go"
All, you regroup with Seldor and find another area to make camp for the night. Strife's night is filled with hot sweats and stomach cramps, but by mornign the poison has run its course.
In the morning you once agin set out in the direction of the Volcano. After almost an hour of marching the trail leads you to a small clearing. Ahead looms the volcano. Smoke and sparks rise from its mouth and a small stone building seems to cower in the shadows around its base. As you near the structure, the dirt and foliage underfoot turn to stone and the stumps of once tall pillars squat along either side of the path. As you pass one of the few pillars that still stand you notice its intricately carved surface depicts snakes winding their way toward its top, where a stone skull sits. The stone structure is made of marble with dark green veins throughout. A few steps lead up to a small covered entryway. More pillars with snake carvings support a peaked roof covered with vines that hang over its sides. At the back of the structure, a doorway lies agape before you. Large chunks of marble lie on either side of the doorway amid smaller bits of rubble, what remains of two large doors. Stone stairs drop away into the darkness beyond.
Lady Susanne, Feng tosses the piece of marble into the darkened interior of the stone structure and you here it clatter down a few steps and stop. The doors to the structure appear to have been smashed open with heavy implements of some sort.
Strife would move forward into the structure, moving slowly as the sound of his boots echos through the stone hall. "This place would make a pretty nice lair" The kobold would say looking around as he approaches and begins to move down the stairs.
Strife will begin descending down the stairs slowly, his dagger and orb drawn ready if anything approaches. (is there a hole in the center of the spiral staircase that would allow him to look towards the bottom or not?)
Strife, the center of the stairwell is open and you see the stairs winding downward, covered in cobwebs. There are unlit torches set into the rough stone wall at various intervals.
Feng is going to use his Druidcraft to light the torches that he can see. He'll continue to do this in the stairs and any hallways until he reaches a room, then he'll stop. He'll do this from the back.
Strife would look down and cast Create bonfire 60ft down (on the lowest set of stairs or on the ground in the center if the stairwell if the ground is less than 60ft away) before slinging fire bolts at each of the torches he comes across, making a game out of trying to light them before Feng can. "Let's get some light going in here... I always feel like flames make a lair feel a little more warm and cozy" the kobold would exclaim as he continues down the stairs slinging fire and lighting the path as he goes.
(updated post since I posted at the same time as Feng :D)
The narrow stairwell opens up to a wide room with doors set into each of the walls.
Terrain & Dimensions: The room is made out of roughly hewn stone bricks. Bits of broken stone and rubble are scattered about the dusty floor. The walls are covered in dust and cobwebs, but you can just barely make out some sort of murals painted beneath them. There are three sets of doors. The Northern doors are decorated with intricate carvings. The Eastern doors are plain stone. The Western doors are also plain stone, but are flanked by two statues of humanoid snake-people holding large goblets.
Lighting: Dark. Unlit torches sit in sconces about the room.
Smells & Sounds: The smell of dust and mold fill the air. The only sound comes from the scraping of your boots and clinking of your gear.

Feng will hold a finger up as he's about to speak then stop, he'll turn toward the group, and nod in agreement. "We agree, we go!"

"Something weird." Feng will speak out quietly. He'll grab a piece of marble and toss it inside the structure, waiting to see if any noise is made.

Lady Susanne looks around to see if she notices anything unusual ...Perception18

Lady Susanne will move closer up to the opening, maybe even a little inside so she can see whats going on inside and down the steps possibly.
(She should have no trouble seeing with her Devil's Sight)
Lady Susanne, you peer into the darkness and see only a set of stone stairs winding downward.
Strife will begin descending down the stairs slowly, his dagger and orb drawn ready if anything approaches. (is there a hole in the center of the spiral staircase that would allow him to look towards the bottom or not?)
Lady Susanne will keep moving slowly down the stairs.

Vappa will follow from the rear, shortsword in hand.

Feng would use Druidcraft to light the sconces.

Feng, the room is now lit with the flickering flames of torchlight.
(hmm... a map... that is probably fine..)
Strife will approach the walls and try to examine the murals underneath the dust and cobwebs.
