No. The rage came on him as his friends were leaving, because I imagine that's when ptsd type symptoms can be at their worst. He made no effort to be stealthy. If you think I got it wrong, you can roll for him.
Føpé is overwhelmed by the madness that has become his life. Why can't this one thing go right. Why can't this man help us! Those zombies. I hate those zombies! Watching the last of the party go upstairs, takes out his sword and attacks Henrik.
Does he get advantage?
The party has gone upstairs when you strike. I am honoring what you wrote. I appreciate that you are not trying to be stealthy, so I will let that pass, but you waited behind until the last of the others went upstairs. Which is fine; I am honoring that. Nevermind the Stealth roll, as you say.
We will return to you shortly, and I will resolve your roll and let you know how far you get into taking off your shirt and cleaning the floor with it, if that happens. For now, we are upstairs.
Those searching the kitchen area will see a door to the north. If you search the kitchen area, make a Perception check.
If you roll a 10 or higher, read this:
You find nothing remarkable. You hear a soft thump from the kitchen area.
If you roll a 17 or higher, read this:
You find nothing remarkable. You hear a sound consistent with Fope moving quickly, followed by a thump.
I am sure you will recall that Henrik said his *bedroom*, and not his kitchen. What do you do?
This modest bedchamber holds a cot and several well-made pieces of furniture, including a table, a padded chair, a bookshelf, and a wardrobe.
It stands to reason, based on what you can see, that the only place a person might hide bones in here is the closed wardrobe.
If you search the room in general, and roll a 10 or higher on a Perception check, read this:
You notice nothing of interest.
If you search the wardrobe in particular, and roll a 12 or higher on a Perception or Investigation check, read this:
You notice that there is no drawer at the base of the wardrobe, where you would ordinarily find one. Inside the wardrobe, you discover that the base panel can be lifted out, revealing a secret compartment beneath. Inside the compartment are two sacks—a large one containing some human bones, and a small one containing 28 gp and 12 ep (which is worth half a gp).
If you all fail these checks I will let you try again, but it takes time.
edit: And Lucento and Barnaby, there is no need for more Perception checks in the kitchen. There isn't anything in there.
wait, oh, what do we have here, Kif tugs at the base of the wardrobe and pulls out some sacks.
I think we have what we're looking for he gently rattles the bag with the bones And maybe Hendrik would like to pay us for our troubles he rattles some coin
Any other doors in this room? windows all boarded up?
mmm, I think I've got the bones here and a sack of approximately 28 gp and 12 ep for the party loot (which should buy a few rounds of drink back at the inn) Lets get these bones back to the church before sunset. Anyone else wanna look around some more, sure is dark and grim in here with all the windows boarded up
All the windows in the house are secured with shutters and a metal lattice work. You can go back downstairs or you can head to the other door on the second floor.

Got it. We cross-posted.
The party makes its way downstairs. This is what it sees:
Lucento, Kif, and Barnaby return to the back of Henrik's workroom, pleased with an afternoon's work done successfully. When last those three were here, Henrik was sitting in his chair, scowling at nobody. Now, the scene is quite different.
Henrik's body is now on the floor. You can see, even from here, that there is a gruesome, deep slash across his neck. Kif, in your battlefield experience, you can take in quickly that at lest two major blood vessels were completely severed, apparently with a single blow. The wound is that deep.
And, of course, the blood. Pints and pints of it, sprayed across the floor. Gathering in puddles; sprayed across the walls. The blood has ceased flowing; Henrik is splayed on the floor, bled dry.
Fope, meanwhile, is muttering to himself - something about zombies and maybe other stuff about vampires and demons. He is barechested and on his knees; you quickly see that he is scrubbing the floor with his own shirt. He's making a ridiculous effort to clean the ocean of blood from the floor, using just his threadbare halfling undershirt. Somewhere he apparently got soap; he is doing his best, but humans carry far more blood than a halfling's shirt can ever hope to absorb.
On the far side of Fope, and the gore, you see that the front door still hangs open, and that you are no longer alone. Four town guards are standing there, thunderstruck at this bloody scene. Their weapons are drawn, but they are not charging. They are just watching, in horror.
The only sounds you hear are Fope, as he mutters and scrubs the floor, and . . . another sound. Dripping? No. It's an animal sound. And you realize that Revenge, Fope's wolf cub, is there, too, licking Henrik's blood off of the workroom floor.
The party is, I suppose, reunited. What. Do you do.
No no, Føpé isn't cleaning the floor, he's cleaning his shirt on the floor, for the party, or at least, he's trying. He's crying too. Also, he's always had the soap.
From the sounds of it, Hendrick is what we in the healing trade refer to as "dead" -- so "Spare the Dying" is out. And, unless these guards are willing to allow us to return to the Inn for a full night's rest and one of you have a diamond worth 500gp that you're willing to part with, he's going to stay "dead."
I don't know if the guards are going to buy it, but seeing as though Hendrick is the party responsible for the desecration of these sacred remains, it is plausible that Fope's sudden madness was the product of divine retribution. Difficult to prove, but also difficult to disprove. We can always toss in mention of the possessed locket (that we are still carrying around?) for good measure.
Lucento turns pale as he re-enters the room, and his eyes go wide as he looks at the blood covered walls, then at Hendrick, then at Fope, then at the guards, then back at Fope.

From the perspective of the rest of the party, they do not know when or where he acquired soap, and what they see is him wiping his shirt on the floor. They don't know where his soap came from.

Roll Stealth. You waited until they left.

17 percepting while I do a quick search
heading to the door to the north, making sure everyone catches up
Ok. Fope’s situation will resolve later. One thing at a time.
If by “everyone” you mean that you are waiting for Fope as well, then please say so. But he’s not coming right behind you.
fine, I'll open the door anyway
It’s a small bedroom. I’ll give you the details later, but this appears to be the room you were looking for.

Well. I suck at this game, but let me try a perception check on the wardrobe19

Ding ding ding! Tell the audience what you’ve won.
edit: and what you do with the contents of each.

I will remind you guys that you are free to talk out of character here, too, just as you would at a regular table.
