Quillary nods back at Jorin, and then taps the skull on her head with her club, speaks softly in her weird language, and raises her hands. Bringing them down to her waist, a blanket of silence falls on the group. She blinks, quirks, and the sounds of the forest come back, but each of the party within a 30' radius become harder to see, harder to hear. She hefts her shield and club, tapping the cat skull again, and the club familiarly generates and sheds a layer of ash.
She looks up, and smiles dangerously. "Now we hunt the hunters."
Action: cast Pass Without Trace for +10 on Stealth roll for 1 hour or concentration Subsequent Bonus Action next round: cast Shillelagh

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Hildigrim climbs down to the path. He draws his wand and waits for the last of the group to be 20 feet ahead before he follows. (I know this means he won't benefit from pass without a trace.) He blinks into Volo every few seconds for just a second to check up on the wolves. If at any point he feels he should pass update information to Quillary, he'll use message. Once Volo can see both Quillary and the wolves, and Quillary is within 30 feet, Hildi will stop moving and stay in Volo's head to give Quillary enough information to be able to sneak up on the wolves.
Hildigrim climbs down to the path. He draws his wand and waits for the last of the group to be 20 feet ahead before he follows. (I know this means he won't benefit from pass without a trace.) ... Quillary is within 30 feet...
(OoC: I'm going to say that Hildigrim can stay within 30' of Quillary the whole way, so he does benefit from PWT.
(Jorin's sword would radiate light, which would defeat the sneaking. I'm guessing he has a hand axe out at first, and will switch to the moon-sword after the first attack.)
(I will wait a bit for Pascal to roll stealth, and any other preparations he wants to do.)
Drusk stealth roll: 21
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Beegred Thornpost - Lvl 8 Halfling Ranger - Out of the Abyss by Kerrec Drusk - Lvl 8 Half-Orc Life Cleric - The Long Road: Dragon Heist by Mingofaust (player & current DM) Hunferho Aelorothi - Lvl 5 Half-Elf Bard/Rogue - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy) DM - Frontier City of Nunkreet (ended)
Quillary rolls her eyes at Drusk's clankiness, but maybe we can use it. She motions Drusk forward and melts into the shadows at side of the path, following his progress and ready to surprise the enemy.

DM rolls:
8, 3, 11
While the party is concealing itself and creeping forward, the wolves are doing so as well.
One wolf is being as sneaky as Drusk (ie. not so much).
The other wolf is well concealed, but Hildigrim (through Volo) knows where it is. The other members of the party have lost track of it (but Hildigrim wouldn't know that).
The big wolf is nowhere in sight. Volo lost track of it.
After being told by Quillary that his armor is making too much noise, Drusk marches up to the scarecrow. Hildigrim is 30' behind him (not concealed).
Enough sneaking... time for combat!
(OOC: Roll initiatives, and post your first round action. Include 2 more d20s this round, as I may need to give advantage or disadvantage on some of these attacks. We will try theater-of-the-mind, as a map with most of the figures being stealthed is too much work.)

Which wolf did Volo buzz? (odd = wolf1, even = stealthed wolf2) Roll: 4 Volo buzzed the hidden wolf, then flew off. While there is no Help for Quillary (she Delayed), it was enough to alert Drusk to that wolf. It does not get Advantage on its attack.
Both wolves leap out to attack Drusk.
W1 - Attack: 16 Damage: 6
W2 - Attack: 16 Damage: 5
Drusk is fortunate he has his shield to keep back the snapping jaws.
In addition, the effigy is a Scarecrow (animated creature) which drops down to claw him.
Attack1: 19 Damage: 6
Attack2: 9 Damage: 6
He is hit by the first claw, and needs to make a WIS save vs DC 11 to avoid being frightened for a round. Roll: 22
The four people who Delayed should post their actions. (Quillary does not get Help from Volo.)

Drusk will swing Joybringer at wolf1. Attack: 25 Damage: 9
A lucky (adrenaline fueled) strike is enough to kill wolf1. But he is still facing wolf2 and a scarecrow. (And the larger wolf leader, who hasn't shown up yet.)

Action: Attack Scarecrow with Shillelagh, 9 to hit, for 12 magical bludgeoning damage Reaction: Scarecrow must make a Con Save vs DC 14 or take 2 necrotic damage

OoC - good call on the glowing sword, I'll say Jorin drew the battle axe and gripped the hilt of the sword to be ready, though didn't draw it.
