Necey wipes her mouth with the sleeve of her robe. "Missing priest and magic book that no one wants to talk about..? What could go wrong?" she says with a snort. "This whole place has been fishy from the start. I wouldnt expect anything else when running errands for them."
"The book is probably full of necromancy stuff" Golver would say scratching his chin. "Just like that study we found... that would explain why they don't wanna talk about it" The dragonborn would look over to Caerlan and grin. "Well Roomie... I hope you don't snore as much as you stink" Golver would say as he casts [Tooltip Not Found] to make the smell of rotting eggs fill the air behind the gnome.
"Sadly for you, my snoring is one of the few things I do better than illusions, might want to find some cotton wool, chum! But yes on a more serious note I'd be curious why the book would be so mysterious if it isn't something with a dark side to it. Seems about right for this place."

Kat nibbles her lips. "Well isn't that reassuring. I guess we'll have to be extra on our guard then, huh? Hopefully we're being sent on this mission because of our impressive display and stunning abilities, not because we're disposable."
"I am surprised they didnt give us red colored robes to wear while we performed this task.. us dragonborn always give the lowest ranking servants red shirts and robes to wear when performing their duties" Golver would say with a smile. "Makes it easier to spot then when you need something done"
The party moves through tje castle finding Aryalaris' lab easily. It's a large room lined with tables and shelves sagging under the weight of books. One shelf looks to have a book the size of the gnomes even! The tables are scattered with objects: vials, scales, glass bottles of various liquids with numerous colors and consistencies. There is even a cage of darkling pixie who look bored and restless. They find Aryalaris at a corner table. He's surrounded by books and vials making notes if each in a ledger.
"So....what can I help you with," he asks cheerfully. "I'd like to give you a better chance than my friend. If you trust me," he adds gesturing at the vials.
OOC: I'll allow each of you 1000 gold worth of potions. Get creative!!

(So from what I understand.. basically any potions other than normal potions of healing are very expensive and I don't actually know what most potions cost. Do you have a guide?)
"Do you have something that will make me feel a bit more brave?"(Potion of Heroism 180gp)
"Being all misty-like sounds like fun..,"she taps on the bottle filled with fog. (Potion of Gaseous Form 300gp)
"I would like to have a powerful breath like him," she points to Golver, "but maybe nothing that would hurt so much?" (Bottled Breath this is not on the list, and I have 320gp left. A level 4 spell scroll is shown to be 320gp, and this is only a level 2 spell.)
Golver would look at the shelves and grin "Well... these are obviously not of dragonborn quality but... I think there might be some useful items here..." The dragonborn would say as he begins moving through the shelves. Quickly Golver would grab a few potions and place them on the table. "I want these!"
1 x Sovereign Glue 400g 1 x Potion of Flying 500g 1 x potion of poison 100g
Humming, Kat looks carefully over the shelves, selecting her potions with a great deal more care than she usually takes with things. In the end, she winds up with a potion of invisibility (180 gp), potion of speed (400 gp), potion of growth (270 gp), and three potion of healing (150 gp total). "Thank you, Aryalaris!" she says with a massive grin as she tucks them carefully into her pockets.
As he looks through the range of potions on display Caerlan wonders just how observant or knowledgeable about the quntities held here Aryalaris is... Deciding not to let his light fingered nature get him into trouble the gnome decides on items that he thinks might help the group and himself with the mission at hand. "Many thanks my good sir, I will be sure to put these to good use and under no circumstances sell them on for a profit" he adds as he walks off with his haul.

"It's the least I can do. I would hope you use them for yourselves. I remind you the village doesn't tolerate open magic use," Aryalaris says looking nervous. "I thinks it's the reason Dedrick Osborne knew to take the tome away there but who knows who or what got him after he began to study it. Mystrains value knowledge above all else regardless of consequence. To be sure we've tried scrying on the book and the cleric but got nothing," he explains heaving a sigh. "I hope you have good luck," he adds ushering everyone out of his lab. "Use them well," he gestures at the vials before closing the door.
The party spends a rested night in their accommodations and given a hearty breakfast the next morning. Leaving the castle with the perpetual thunderstorm still raging the party is given steeds and rations for their journey. The trip is long but thankfully uneventful. The party reaching the outskirts of town just before dusk. Several buildings stand two stories high and the nearest to the beginning of town boasts an inn and livery. There's not much foot traffic about and the largest building at the center of town is a temple to Mystra.

"Yeah sure... I mean... It isn't a temple of Bahamut or anything but I guess a Temple of Mystra is fine" Golver would say with a small huff as they head towards the inn
The party moving towards the tavern and inn the see a warn sign that reads: The Raven's Nest. Going inside the party finds a full house and falls curiously silent as the party enters. Twenty sets of eyes stare at the party. The people look local. They're dressed in muted colors and peasant designs. A large human man is behind the bar and a stout human woman comes from the bar. She looks curious at the party but smiling all the same.
"Hi there," the woman calls out her eyes fixing on the gnomes then Necey before looking at Golver nervously. "Uh...how can I help," she adds.
The entire tarven still staring.

The dragonborn would stand tall with his polished armor over his fine clothes as the light sparkles across his gold and silver scales. Looking down to the woman, Golver would give her a large smile. "I was hoping you could help us find a cleric that might be able to help my small friend" He would say as he places his large clawed hand on the top of Caerlan's head. "You see.. I think he may have picked up some kind of curse or disease... maybe he was poisoned.. I am not sure, but something has stunted his growth!" The dragonborn would say with a large grin.
Kat yawns. "So what do you guys think of our mission? I kind of feel like there's something fishy about it."
