Necey doesn't have to probe too deep on any of the patrons to realize they may have made the wrong choice. She smiles warmly at the woman approaching but to the minds of her companions she says, "Uh, maybe we can just sleep under the stars. I'm kinda used that anyways."
"Oh," the human woman, the tarven dominated by humans, gasps and the bartender another large burly human man hears her and moves around the counter.
"Grace they should show us their coin first! It's six silver a night with meals. Too steep for you there's plenty of barns in town to sleep in," he growls as the tarven murmurs and chuckles. "No use picking up more strays," he adds with a belly laugh that's accompanied by a few patrons.
"Horace really," the human woman Grace exclaims shaking her head at the bartender. "He...well they are just wee folk but you..." she sputters looking at Golver curiously, "well I wouldn't be joking too much about disease in these parts. A fever took many just last autumn," she explains her tone like a scolding mother! "Brother Garth is in the temple now. I suppose he might be able to help...if Uh your friend is ill," she adds still looking nervous but smiling.
The bartender Horace is still scowling at the party while patrons seem to be torn between Horace and Grace's opinions. No one else speaks however and the room is still very tense.

Golver would nod with a smile and pull out four gold coins from his pouch and toss them to Horace. "I Think that should cover our our expenses during our time in these ...." The dragonborn would pause for a moment... working hard to come up with the right word... "Rustic... accommodations" He would say as the words almost drip from his mouth as he looks to the man. Then as his head turns back to the woman he would smile. "Sorry, I should not have joked about my friends condition" he would say giving her a small nod. "My name is Golver... Golver Shimmerclaw by the way... Perhaps you have heard of me or my parents... Anyway... If you can help me to speak with this Garth fellow.. perhaps my friends and I can do something for you in return" The dragonborn would say as he extends his silver scaled hand for a handshake.
"The temple is out the door and to the right...sir you can't miss it," Grace replies looking to Horace who, although with more than half the tavern, looks stunned by the flash of wealth. "Brother Garth is around or if he's not there in the village," she adds. "I'll prepare your rooms shall I? Two or...," she looks at the party, "that much gold each of you could have one for three nights plus the very best food and ale we have," she explains.

"Thank you, I appreciate your help. The sooner we finish our business the sooner we can be on our way. If we manage to finish up here before three days you can keep the change." Golver would say with a smile to Grace. The smile would fade significantly as he glances to Horace before returning to Grace. "I have a pretty large appetite, I will be looking forward to dinner later" He will say with a nod before turning and looking to his compaions. "You ready to go?" He would ask with a grin.
"Thank you, ma'am," Necey says as politely as possible to Grace - having been scolded many times by her grandma about making sure to respect your elders... at least ones you don't know well enough yet.
"It is getting a bit late,"she replies to Golver. "But maybe we can get a few things done still."
Going outside the door of tge tarven night is creeping in. The village isn't lit up well against the approaching darkness but you can walk around and see the temple easily enough in the village center.

Grin. would start to reach for the orb around his neck in preparation of casting a spell to hell light the way but would stop himself. "Let's just get to the temple and see what we can find out before dinner..." The dragonborn would say as he rubbed his stomach.
"Fine, but enough with the hilarious jokes about diseases, they clearly don't have a dragonborn sense of humour in these parts." Caerlan walks off in the direction of the temple.

"Hey! I said I didn't know what was wrong with you... a disease was only one possible explanation" The dragonborn would say as he made his way to the temple. "How was I supposed to know they had problems with diseases... for all we knew the whole town could have been populated with cursed warewolves!"
Necey nods in agreement with Caerlan as they continue toward the temple. "Remember the headmasters advised us to keep our nose to the ground. Probably the less said to the locals the better."
Moving through the small village you become rather suspicious that of all places this rural village, without being a city center of knowledge itself, would have such an imposing temple of Mystra goddess of knowledge in it. The temple dominates all buildings, huts really, that surrounded it. The temple, tavern as well as a smattering of other buildings have used stone tin there construction but everything else is crudely built. These huts look new with the tavern, temple, and a half dozen other buildings look very old indeed! Coming to the temple there are torched on either side of the doors set ablaze and the door itself is slight ajar.
"Pretty nice temple... still not as nice as a temple for Bahamut.. and obviously not of dragonborn make... but nice" Golver would say as he moves to the open door. "Doors open.. guess I'll let myself in" The dragonborn would say with a grin.

"Hold on!" Neecy says grabbing the dragonborn's arm lightly. "If we have learned anything at the school is that we shouldn't just be throwing doors open and sticking our head in without taking a look first."She takes a look around to see if there's anything amiss. "I mean who just leaves a door opened a crack. If you want people to come on in open it all the way."

Having given a "thorough" investigation of the area, Necey gives a satisfied, "Okay. It should be fine. Let's go on in."
Kat eyes the temple curiously. "You know, I bet if they put some kind of covering over the doorway, they'd save tons from torches not going out when it rains, and probably get more people," she mumbles absently.

Maintaining her cheerful smile, Kat shifts a little uncomfortably, glancing cautiously around the tavern.
